Great stay for three nights at Khao Yai”
Had a great stay at The Frog. Our favorite times were sitting in the gardens waiting for our made to order breakfasts as well as on our terrace examining the different flora and fauna of the resort. Great value for the price. Enjoyed the coziness very much. Owners have 20+ years experience in the hotel industry and it shows in they way they take care of their guests at their own resort. Very centrally located in Khao Yai, nonetheless I would recommend your own means of transport since public transport is rather limited at Khao Yai.

Rustic Villa Resort hidden in the valley”
Tucked away from the main town of Pak Chong, The Frog Khao Yai Resort was well situated amongst trees, maize plantations with mountains in the background. The staff/operators were very friendly but one must speak Thai (at least basic simple words) in order to communicate with them. Breakfast (American and Thai) were very tasty. The 2-room villa (mainly teak) was very clean and the bed (firm mattress with bamboo bed frame) was very comfortable to sleep on. Overall, a great accommodation!

2 nights at the Frog”
Nice, cozy place. Many places around Khao Yai are very tacky, but these 5 wooden Thai bungalows are definitely not. Well design and attention to detail. A real Oasis. We had no problem with mosquito, some frogs making noise at night but we quite liked it. The owner also has a small restaurant about 3min drive from the resort, very good food and life music on the weekend. Defo recommend to explore Khao Yai with your own transport (bike/car).

Amazing individual houses with great bathroom. Nice staff. ”
Beautiful houses, with extraordinary bathrooms, that the owner Kob built all by himself. His wife speaks only little english but was very helpful and we got to borrow a motorcycle to grab something to eat. At night Kob drove us to the Bat Cave and since the guides from the park were busy, he showed us around Khao Yai National Park. Breakfast was good. WiFi doesn't reach all houses which is a small minus but the common area is nice to sit. Would definetly recommend this place and also Kob's own bar/ restaurant not too far from the lodge.

New, small and beautifully designed resort”
We were very pleased with this resort as many around Khai Yai charge a lot of money yet provide poor service. It is new with only 5 very clean, large wooden 'bungalows' which have been creatively designed. The resort, which is surrounded by countryside and a few houses, is only 10 minutes from the main entrance to Khao Yai National Park. We asked for breakfast at 6 am so we could enter the park early to watch the birds and wildlife. This was no problem to the friendly staff. So as the sun rose we sat outside and were given an excellent breakfast. There is no restaurant, so for evening meals you need to go elsewhere but that is not a problem here - so many to choose from. But if you like Thai food we recommend Memosa where we have eaten a few times(back to the main road, turn left towards the national park and it is on the right.

Friendly family run hotel”
Although a little off the beaten track, the Frog is a friendly family run hotel offering a peaceful ,comfortable stay in individual 'chalets' set in a beautifully laid out garden amongst farmland.within easy reach of the National Park entrances, providing you have transport.we enjoyed our stay and endeavour to stay again next time we visit Khao Yai.

very stylish place with great people ”
Great. We were very happy with the design, very distinctive and relaxing. Even nicer to find out the hotel's name is actually followed the owner 's name. The owner and his staff were wonderful. Always willing to support us, showed the way, gave good recommendation on where to go, made early breakfast for us... Can't really say it out loud all they have done. I will choose this resort again if I go back to Khao Yai. One point to note: there are many mosquitoes in the garden at night, so have to be careful.

It was a home away from home.”
It was absolutely worthwhile. The owner is a great guy and everyone is so nice. It was a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be in between nature and the mountains. You definitely need a car to drive around Khao Yai. I could go on and on about The Frog and our new friends we made but it is just picture perfect.

Very Comforting! ”
This resort was one of a kind! Mr.Frog, made us both feel very at home. He drove us to Khao Yai park, and back to Pak Chong and was very helpful. The room had its own porch and its own creek running through it. Felt very close to nature and traditional tiki style. It made our Thailand experience so much better and we will definitely be back.

Fun time at the Frog”
I really enjoyed my stay here, and it was one of the highlights of my Asia travels. If you have a sense of humor, can go with the flow, and appreciate the place for what it is, you'll have a good time. The host couple are lovely and funny. English is ok, but don't expect total understanding. That said, I learned a bit of Thai, which was fun. As a solo traveler, it was a little awkward because you're not close to anything - the location is in the midst of beautiful field and is really adorable - and short of breakfast, they're not really prepared to feed you. There was a motorbike I could use if I wanted to. Didn't get to try it so can't vouch for it. We did an impromptu 'cooking class' one night where I made my own dinner, and again it's one of the best stories I have from my trip, but it was totally unexpected. Since I was also the only person staying there at the time, as well as traveling alone, they went out of their way to make sure I had fun and included me in their activities too. I had 2 days of guided touring through Khao Yai National Park lined up in advance, so that was a godsend. They are on hand to take you to different sites, and trek in the park, but it's very off the cuff. Staying there was an adventure in itself. I'm very glad I did.

Great place, disappointing staff”
This is a great place if you are someone that loves being in touch with nature. The bathroom is beautiful and exposed to the outdoors. The bedroom is fully air conditioned and spotless. The staff, which consists of the husband, wife, and their dad, clean the whole place every day. We did see a lot of animals and small creatures such a geckos and if you are not careful, they will come into your room. No bugs at all (probably cause of the frogs and geckos). One piece of advice if you are a foreigner, the husband will try to rip you off at every opportunity. Do not purchase water or snacks from them, as they are completely overpriced. Another reviewer here said that he will also try and offer you dinner seemingly sounding as if it was free, but will make you pay after. I can confirm this is true. Basically be careful of all your interactions with him involving money, as he will try to rip you off in any instance. On a side note, if you do not know thai, expect to be laughed at. Another piece of advice - if you plan to go into Khao Yai National park, rent your own motorbike up and do not join the tours, especially the ones offered by this hotel. Overall, the place itself is beautiful, gorgeous, and definitely worth the money. However, you will need to pay close attention to what services are free so to not get tricked.

quiet hideaway near khao yai ”
The frog is a handful of simple bungalows in a quiet surrounding. you will only hear frogs, cicadas and eventually some chicken and ducks at night - that's why you come here, right? considering the simplicity of the accommodation the price is a bit high. Khao yai entrance is about 20 min by car.

Fascinating Heavenly Hideaway”
If you are looking for modernity and luxury, this place is not for you. But if you crave to snug yourself in the lushness of banana trees, lotus ponds, rice fields, and gentle breeze, you will fall in love with The Frog. . These little wood houses with verandahs invite nature into your room. With artsy details, each cabin is arranged so that its residents have maximum privacy and exposure to nature. I love the incorporation of unique old doors and windows thourghout the inn. The man who concieved and built this heavenly oasis is is none other than Mr Frog himself (Gob), who also cooks the delicious complimentary breakfast. And he is as unpretentious as his creation. He is nice and friendly. dropping us off where we needed to be, including his equally relaxing road-side Frog Bar. The service and some details can not compare to a 4-star. For example, we can use more shelving space and a lamp. Even so, definitely our two-thumps up for The Frog.

Very good and friendly but remote from commodities”
The lodge is placed next to Khao Yai but it is very difficult to book a Safari inside the reserve i.e. the lodge does not offer this and you cannot book something at Khao Yai-entry but 14km further (+you need to pay the entry-fee :400Baht and you need a car/motorbike to access this point). Otherwise the lodge is really nice/tidy. The owner is very friendly and rented us one of his cars for the Safari, which was definetely handy. You can do everything alone, no guide needed except for maybe long treks in the jungle. Good luck.

Nice, familiar hotel with friendly owner”
Very nice owner who picked us up at the train station for a reasonable price. The first night, he prepared some Thai dinner for us and showed us how to prepare the meal in his small kitchen. The other night, he drove us to a nearby restaurant. On our final day he organized a cab that took us back to the train station. Very nice and familiar atmosphere. The owner made us really feel welcome in the hotel. But keep in mind the name of the hotel (the frog) since there are quite a lot of frogs around which make quite some noise during the night. We really enjoyed our stay there

A Retreat”
We LOVED this place. We have lived in Thailand for 10 months and this was our favourite place to stay. You are out in nature and feel a cabin-like nostalgia. The park was close and Frog is extremly accommodating! It felt like we had instant friends as soon as we arrived. You will need a vehicle, however the resort provides you with one for a reasonable price!

Relaxing stay”
Loved the stay alot, wasn't hard to find navigating from Pak Chong train station riding over via rented scooter. There are not alot of villas therefore the owner immediately knows you when you arrive and are about to check in. Was entertained by the cat around the area, and there really are frogs/toads around so do watch out when returning to the room at night. Lots of mosquitos preying on you so remember your insect repellent. Room was spacious, bed is comfortable, huge outdoor style shower. TV channel's are all local so bring your own entertainment if required. Breakfast are cooked by owner upon request and it's very yummy. Before we left our scooter had trouble starting up, they helped to call the rental company for help and managed to resolve the issue, ended up was the fuel choke causing the issue. One of the best stay I had in Thailand, and it is a pity we had to leave a day earlier to catch our flight back home.
