Great staff, great location, dated facilities”
The Giacomo was a very friendly hotel, just minutes walk from the rainbow bridge to Canada, and a short walk to the Niagara Falls Park for a view (and possible boat ride) to the waterfall. Staff were very friendly, and always had a smile which made it a homely experience. We just wish some of the facilities and the rooms could be refurbished .. hard to find (or nonexistent) powerpoints that don't always stay powered, dusty under the beds and tables, noisy ventilation fans. Would we stay again ? Yes, I think we would but not for the 5* price we paid.

Super Stay ”
I’ve enjoyed staying at The Giacomo, Niagra Falls so much. The old style of the building is amazing but the rooms are more modern except needing more electrical outlets near the bed. The staff are wonderful and so nice. I love the cookies and milk delivered at night and the breakfast was great also. To say that I am pleased with my stay is an understatement, I am overwhelmed by the kindness and beauty this building represents. Thanks for a great stay

Niagra Falls - The Giacomo”
Had to travel during May due to a move. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel with character and old time elegance. Procedures were in place due to Covid 19 crisis. Thought rooms and baths were very nice and unique compared to chain hotels. Well located to walk to Niagra Falls.

Good boutique hotel”
Very close to the falls and Anchor Bar. Central to most attractions. Due to covid, most attractions were closed. But the falls were amazing to see and spread it out over a few days going to goat island too.

Boutique hotel walkable to Niagara Falls State Park.”
You can spot it on the skyline - it's one of the tallest buildings in town -- and it's stunning. Lovely re-imagining of former business building with swanky decor that complements the original features, like the marble staircase in the lobby. The rooms were smaller than I anticipated based on the photos and ours were on a low floor -- but we could still see Canada. Nice bath products, robes, water, mini fridge, large TV, heavy black out curtains -- everything you need. Kingsize bed may be a bit too large for the room - I caught my toe on the platform trying to avoid the corner of the standing lamp base -- there was only about 4" between them. Nice chair with ottoman took up most of the floor space. Great bathroom with large shower and vanity/sink area. Lighting was a bit low for my taste, even when all the lamps were turned on. Lounge bar is great, though limited drink options (good wine choices though) but the bar food was TERRIBLE. Have a drink, eat elsewhere.

Very Nice Suite ”
We booked a suite and it was huge! It was like a mini-apartment. Although the building is historical and built in the 1920’s, the rooms were very clean. The staff left us a nice note and even had the radio playing before we arrived. I’m not gonna lie, we arrived late at 3am and it was a little creepy at first because they had all the lights turned down. The decor is from the 1920’s so going up to the 13th floor and hearing music coming from your room, freaked us out a little. But after seeing the nice accommodations, the attention to detail to make our stay pleasant and the wonderful views from our window, we felt right at home. The room was clean, comfy, elegant and our stay was wonderful.

A quiet getaway near the state park that runs along the river at the top of the falls”
The Giscomo is a cool, retro hotel in a building opened only days before the Great Depression (1929). The tallest building on the American side, great views, sunset lounge on 19th floor, helpful staff. Will stay again in the future!

Unique!”
We were only in the area overnight, but wish that we could have stayed here longer. Such a unique atmosphere - an elegant old-time feel to the building. Huge bathrooms. Classically decorated. Mostly quiet (a lot of background hums and whirrs from the old pipes and heating/cooling system, but not too much to keep you awake). Bed was super comfy! Complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning - not the fanciest, but did the job. We weren't able to take part in the evening lobby bar or rooftop firework watching on the top floors. Valet parking to a secured lot ($20 at garages nearby!). We would definitely stay there again!

Nice place. Old building. Quiet. Enjoyed the whirlpool. ”
Good location. Quiet. Free parking. After 7:30pm I called the front desk several times and no one answered. When I went to see if some one was there, staff was sitting at the table not at the front desk. Tv was on and I stood there for 10 minuets and she never looked up. Finally I coughed and she asked what I needed. Just ice I said. The room was not vacuumed as there were rise peddles and water bottles under the couch. Building computer and tv didn’t work. I felt a bit like me staying here as an inconvenience.

Not Worth the Money”
Chaos upon arrival. Have to park in the quality inn parking lot even to check in. Discounted room is the noisy one right across from the elevator. Tub has drain closure on back rather than side, makes for uncomfortable sitting. Ice maker not easily marked. No turn down service. Credit card temporary charge not quickly refunded. Parking great, right across from location, easy in and ok, no valet. Breakfast ok, certainly a lot of choices. Location great for walking. But again quality inn is right next door and I’m sure it’s much cheaper for equal overall experience!

Nice, but Not the chain experience”
Old fashioned quaint feel, with some old fashioned quaint limitations. If thats your goal, the place is nice. If you are expecting a more modern experience, it may not be your cup of tea. We were pleased overall.

The hotel itself is beautiful. But our room smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals and the front desk staff was very rude and unhelpful.
