Great Value for Money and Prime Location”

This place located just right in the heart of Hatyai. It is very nearby to train station (7 mins walking distance), Kim Yong Market, Lee Gardens Plaza. The cleanliness of the room and toilet are acceptable. Ben, the receptionist girl is awesome!! The rest of the staffs are friendly&helpful. I had a small incident whereby the curtain railing of my capsule fell off at about 04:55 hours on my second night. I went down to the reception and notified the girl who was on duty that night about the matters, she immediately moved me to another capsule and helped me with the change. If I ever had a chance to visit Hatyai again, I'll definitely will stay in the Hive Hostel again.

Good location and affordable price”

To be honest, this hostel is the best hostel i’ve stayed in. Located nearest kim yong market. And also quite near to Hat Yai Jn railway station. Just walked by a few min. I’ve got the dorm all by myself because there is no one check in besides me. And then the staff are very understanding and give a permission to take a bath before my long train ride to bangkok. Thanks to the staff. Recommended for all.

Good Budget Hostel in Hat Yai”

The location is near the city centre (Hat Yai Junction), nice and clean hostel. The staffs are very kind, friendly and helpful given the best attraction in Hat Yai. Definitely will be back again

Superbly Comfortable Stay in Hatyai”

The hostel is well-located in central Hatyai, where it’s just within walking distance right after I arrived by bus. The vicinity have plenty of amenities- ATM, local eats and also some places of interests, particularly the popular Kim Yong Market. I booked a bunk bed, everything in there are comfortable, I had very good sleeps with good ac throughout my two nights stay in the super hot Hatyai weather. However, cleanliness can be easily improved with a simple wipe as I find the furnishings are quite dusty. Linens and sheets are clean though. Washrooms are functional but it really is a bit too small, door is literally right in front of me once I sat on the WC. I personally won’t find this a deal breaker... just a toilet and I don’t stay in it. Receptionists on duty had been really kind. The van transfer to Krabi that I booked online missed to pick me up despite having had came through the door of the hostel. Upon realising the unusual belated pick-up... the receptionist immediately helped me to call the company and thus the driver came back for me. I would not have known if not for her help, so I am really grateful! Also, you can book your onward journeys at the hostel at a cheaper rate than online. All in all a wonderful place to stay when in Hatyai, absolutely recommendable!

Strongly Recommended”

Strongly recommended for backpack traveller. I've booked a double private room with shared bathroom at level 3. Checked-in earlier at 12.45pm and checked-out at 12.30pm. There is a lift but only to lift your baggages not peoppe. Hostel provided all day free flow drinks and biscuits while free simple breakfast provided like toast and cornflakes. Room rates are reasonable especially booked thru Agoda will get cheaper rate than walk in. Thanks for the girl who sit at the reception counter. She speaks English fluently. She does really helped alot by showing us how to take their public tuktuk "sōtél" to ASEAN night bazaar. Walking distance to Kimyong market and local market, Lee Garden walking street. Strategic located. Will definitely recommend to all travellers. Looking forward for my next stay with The Hive! ❤️

Worth the money”

I had a great time in the hive. The staff is helpful but a bit difficult to speak with because they knew little english, but there is no problem with that. Cleanliness is good. Facilities (tv room,pantry,wifi,water heater) is superb. 8 min walking distance to hatyai railway station and 2 min walking distance to kim yong market.

Must stay here! So easy and convenience ”

It only take 2 min walking to Kim Yong Market. 5 min walking to * Alisan Coach Express office * Lee Garden Night Market * Hatyai Railway station Room and toilet are clean and super super nice. The staff are friendly and the speak good english. They also provide iron, free breakfast and water dispenser. I will stay here again whenever i come to hatyai. Highland recommend this hostel.

Good and worth your $$”

It was really hard to find the hostel because they only have a small LED sign display which really difficult to notice. It's location is central to everything so we're satisfied with the location. Thing that they should improve is the bathroom. The mattress is really hard to sleep on. They require 500 baht as a deposit for each even you are in a group. The staffs were nice and able to speak English so you'll be able to ask suggestions on what you can do in Hat Yai.

Friendly Staff”

When we reached the property, we were allowed to put our luggage in the lobby first before check-in as we arrive earlier. The room is clean but the door of the bathroom in the 6-bed family room cannot close. However, the staff contact and sent people to repair the door after we informed them about the issues. Furthermore, the property also provides service of a 1-day tour in Hatyai which is cool and convenience as we do not need to go to travel agency to book the 1-day tour package. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the property. The only weakness is that some of the staff cannot speak English fluently, but they also tried to communicate with us.

Wonderful”

All facilities are excellent. The staff are very kind. My cousin lost her purse and pasport at hatyai. We ask the staff to call the police and the last place that we went, luckily we found back the purse contain money and pasport. Thanks for the generous staff there. Also very near to Lee garden,it takes about 3 minute walking and also very near to Hatyai Railway Station.

Everything is good, but....”

Originally I've booked a bunk bed in The Hive, it was written room with air-cond. But it was a different story, I was charged for another 50 baht to stay in the bunk bed in the air-cond room. The staff claim that I've book beds in room with fans provided only. To be honest, I am not happy about that.

The best!”

Hostel is near with Hatyai Train Station, 7Eleven, and local market that sells local produce. The bed is very comfortable and I really love this place <3 Definitely will stay here again! :)

Value for Money”

Value for money if you are travel in group or family. You may book for the whole room for 6 pax or 4 or 2 depending on availability. The down side is that the bathroom clog, water didn't flow out well and flooded at bathroom area. I have informed the hostel management. The other issue will be parking. We drove there and hostel management informed us that we can park in front of their hostel. Do careful on the traffic ticket as some day you will need to park at different side of the road..

I have stayed here a couple of times already, because I am very satisfied with the Hive! Is has all a traveller needs. The staff, especially Bam, is very friendly! See you next time.

A new, modern backpackers hostel.”

Overall very good for the price. Some of the staff members were very friendly, some not. The matresses are a little hard (not a big problem for me).I didn't like the uncomforable pillows. There is free coffee and tea all day. The breakfast is only bread with jam. Normally (and according to other reviews as well) they also have cereals for breakfast. There was indeed an empty cereal box. I asked for it, but they said 'no cereals' for some reason.But in general my experience was very good, so I do recommend The Hive to all backpackers!

Great stay! ”

Good stay! Not much socialisation tho as there won't many travellers. Had the whole room to myself on my last night. One of the good things was there was toilet in the female dorm. Receptionist is always willing to assist you for any enquires. Really great stay! Will be back to the same hostel if I ever go back.
