Great historical hotel! Perfect location!”
My friend and I stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Windsor in April 2019. We booked a room with 2 beds & were surprised when we got 2 queen beds that were amazing- just the right firmness, 4 large wonderful pillows and incredible linens! The room was huge with high ceilings, a walk in closet & beautiful marble bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfy. So very happy. The location was great as well. Right in the CBD with the free tram & other great transportation options nearby. We were also within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, Queen Victoria Market and everything the city had to offer. We didn’t partake of the bar or restaurants, so I can’t comment about those. If I had one suggestion for the hotel, it would be that the lobby could use a little work. Everyone needs a littler makeover once in a while, but the flowers were spectacular!

An anniversary stay at the Windsor”
This is our third stay at the Windsor and we just love it! The staff are friendly, helpful and generous with their time. We were presented with a lovely bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary, such a lovely surprise. The room was comfortable with a great bed and we could have a choice of pillows if required.The bathroom was clean and there were special products for our use. Altogether , a wonderful stay.

Fab except for a little noisy on 2nd floor”
Really lovely old hotel. The location is brilliant. Usually stay at the Sofitel but tried Hotel Windsor this trip. Didn’t dine in but did overhear a lady asking the concierge one morning who she could talk to about the food. Bed really comfortable, drapes keep the room dark (a must for me) but my husband said he woke a few times with people walking past in the corridor. He fixed this by putting a towel across the gap under the door. Shower head a bit basic. Overall, will definitely stay again.

Staff warm and welcoming, showed excellent communication skills. Junior suite fabulous as always with the most comfortable bed and everything we needed. Have previously stayed at the Windsor years ago. Highly recommend the afternoon tea which was to die for with beautiful presentation. It was my birthday and the lovely surprise I was given had that special personal touch. Will be back.

We were married in 1978 . Back then we were students and couldn’t afford a grand hotel for our honeymoon . So we finally got the chance to have our second honeymoon - two day stay in The Hotel Windsor . The ambience is wonderful ! The breakfast choices are world class ! Just magnificent ! Recommend this hotel to anyone looking for traditional service including brewed tea in a silver tea pot!

Melbourne landmark - highly recommended ”
Loved everything about Hotel Windsor. As you would expect, staff were polite and professional, rooms, décor etc reflected the era in which the hotel was built which was one of the reasons we had always wanted to stay at this iconic Melbourne landmark. For a special occasion I could not fault this establishment and is well deserved of its hotel status and reputation. We will be a return guest and would highly recommend this elegant hotel.

If you like old world charm, elegance & to be part of history a stay at The Hotel Windsor ticks all the boxes. It is such a pleasant place to spend time, built in 1883 and frequented by movie stars, royalty, politicians and ordinary people alike it is a delight to stay there and of course their high tea in the beautiful dining room is legendary. It's a Melbourne must!!

We love the Windsor hotel, My husband and I had a 1 night stay. We were greeted with the usual warm, professional but friendly manner that all the tea at the Winsdor have, from the valet to check in all staff were fabulous. Easy to get to either via tram directly from Southern Cross (where the airport Sky Bus terminates), or train. Lovely location near Parliament Square and you can eaily walk to city malls, China town, Southbank - pretty much the whole city. Staff really helpful.

This is an amazing place to stay. The staff are so attentive in all areas. We went down to breakfast and the maitre d' just made our day. My stay at Windsor Hotel”
The vintage hotel is at the heart of the CBD and near shops and restaurants. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The food is good too. I would have preferred a buffet breakfast since sometimes a tour starts early so it doesnt give us time to give our orders ala carte. Would prefer to have an extra wastecan in the bedroom and soap dish so it doesnt scatter throughout the sink. Bathtub should have handrails or anti slip mats. Just a suggestion. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

Charming hotel in central Melbourne ”
Older hotel (established 1883 I believe) but charming with a great style and interior decor. I just booked a standard room which was nice. Service in the dining room was outstanding, couldn't fault it. Location is good, short walk down to Bourke St mall. Would stay again definitely.
