Good and comfortable Room”
I have come to Batu Pahat for business trip the last five years and have the opportunity to stay in a few of the so called good hotel here and I have to said the Katerina Hotel is the top. Thumbs up for the tasteful and comfortable renovated room. In all fairness, we have to compare apple to apple, as there is no hotel comparable to this hotel as the rooms are central a/c and not split a/c, the hotel has gymnasium and swimming pool and it has full staffing to service the guest. Operation cost in such hotel is much, much higher than other budget hotel here and thus their price is consider good

Very friendly and helpful staff, caring for elder guest”
The only 4 stars hotel in Batu Pahat and live to its name, not only nice clean and comfortable hardware but main thing that make it great are the staffs. From check in to bellboy etc, every show their smile and love to the guest, they also help elderly guest getting on & off the car. not forgetting to mention the restaurant food are delious, especially the chicken rice set that come with very nice soup which even a chicken wing in it, and the hokkien prawn noodle so big potion and very nice chilli to go with. Can't wait for my next trip back to The Katerina Hotel !!!

A Fine Stay”
We arrived late at the hotel in midnight and were welcome with a smile from all the staff. The staff are friendly and very helpfull, I asked them where to find a good malay restaurant nearby on that night and all three of them including the manager share their opinion which is the best malay restaurant and we had a good chit chat like an old friend. The room size were decent for 4 of us to stay. I had a trouble to find the bathroom light switch because I dont realize the switch were located at the insert key-power switch box. The pool are quite small but its ok. If i ever going back to Batu Pahat, definitely will stay again at Katerina.

Truly the best hotel in Batu Pahat”
I have been staying in Hotel Katerina for long time and I have to say that having this standard of hotel in Batu Pahat is more than my expectation. The hotel room is quiet and I have a good sleep with the good pillow and sound proof room. The standard of cleanliness of room is very satisfactory The hotel has its own car park. Although the gymnasium and swimming pool is standard sizing, it is sufficient. The hotel continue to be our company, family and friends choice

Breathtaking, comfortable and peace mind ”
It was an experience never to forget. Rooms are big and comfy with an aerial view over town of Batu Pahat. Just sit back and relax over a glass of cold sirap bandung and your worries are gone. Checking into hotel is hassle free and the staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast is sumptuous with variety of choices to choose from. Fantastic. Kudos to all the staff at Katerina hotel

Quite value for Money, Nicest hotel in Batu Pahat”
Had a pleasant stay here in Katerina, I rode a motorcycle down so was assigned a safe parking lot just in front of the hotel which I appreciate. From check in till check out, service was good with no hiccups. Room was clean and rather spacious for the money paid. Only issue is that we were not issue tooth brush but a call to the reception solves everything. Will be back here again if I am back to Batu Pahat

It was a nice stay in The Katerina Hotel. The location of the hotel is great. The room and toilet are clean. Service is good. Overall, i had a pleasant stay in this hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if i come to Batu Pahat again.

Get away from Singapore”
Nice place with commendable facilities. We went there to spend quality time as well as to be away from Singapore. The hotel is relatively good priced for a 4 star hotel. Good range of selection for breakfast. The pool was a little dirty due to improper filtration, but still served the purpose of cooling your body down. I recommend not to take a swim that may cause you to accidentally swallow water. Hotel had a great bathtub for soaking and relaxing. Nice view on high level floors as the landscape of Batu Pahat is pretty flat with minimal high raised buildings. All in all, it was a good hotel to take a chill and enjoy the time.

New Improvised hotel”
This was not our first time to stay at Katerina Hotel but this was the best experience so far. Katerina has improved a lot after the renovation. The room more spacious, the modern deco is nice and above all, we now finally have a hotel with a swimming pool in Batu Pahat! :) The only downside of this hotel is that they still charging their wifi service whereas other small hotels in Batu Pahat town already given free wifi for their guest!

Very good hotel”
The rooms were nice and had a nice view over Batu Pahat. Beds were excellent too. It was a pleasure stepping into the well decorated lobby. We were then pleasantly surprised by the standard of breakfast offered considering this is a small town hotel. We wish the gym was better equipped but overall it was more than enough to justify a repeat stay.

Comfortable, Antique Feeling & Enjoyable”
We enjoyed our stay at the Katerina Hotel. Being first time, pondering between Katerina & Pinetree, we choose Katerina based on the good review. We were not disappointed. Spacious &le Carpark, at the heart of the city, European outlook & interior Decoration. Nice, clean &i love the bathtub. Alas, i couldn't have them change to a Queen size bed for couples, stating reasons that it will be quite pack that day. That was a disappointment. The hotel was not crowded that day, yet they refused my request. Lift was not equipped with card system to allow only hotel guests, bet it was really safe ard in Batu Pahat. Wifi was non-existent. Cafe was empty, guess people prefer to eat out rather than the costly meal inside. I reckon they can entice the guest with promotion for one meal free for 2 person, it makes the cafe look throbbing with ppl and lively to enjoy the atmosphere around. I would encourage first timer to come and try this place if you are around in Batu Pahat. I will come and stay again if they offer me a king/Queen size bed again :D

The Katerina Hotel”
Friendly and well mannered staff. It's the only big hotel in Batu Pahat but the higher price surprised me.That is why I gave less stars for "value for money". Although it's a good hotel for a small town, the price of a similar hotel in a bigger city can actually be lower. Breakfast is nothing to shout about. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. That's important. They should upgrade the wifi in such a way that only hotel guests with passwords can use the wifi so that it is stronger. When I was there, it was a public wifi. They have a lot of functions and everybody who attends use the wifi too. And the car park is full when functions are on, so guests have insufficient car park space.

The Katerina is a lovely hotel and the friendly staff make for a comfortable stay in Batu Pahat. As I was on a business trip, my only request is that the staff in the hotel be trained to issue receipts for hotel stay.

CNY stay in Katerina”
The Katerina is our 2nd home in Batu Pahat which is hubby's hometown. We always feel welcomed there as many of the staff especially the doorman recognizes us now. They even reserve a parking place for us if we come back late. The wifi needs improvement though

one of the nice hotels around town”
A clean and nice hotel in Batu Pahat town with absolutely no view- but it serves a purpose if you need to stay in that town. The staff were friendly and the breakfast spread was reasonable. The room was better than what we expected, small and clean, there is also a hyper mart within walking distance. Need to drive out if you do not intend to eat within the hotel.

Quiet, comfortable and good location. Breakfast is acceptable with reasonable variety of food, though should have more variety of fruits. Nearby to an excellent Chinese Restaurant which I never miss when I am in Batu Pahat. Opposite is a supermarket where you can pick up your grocery and sundry. Overall one of the best hotel, if not the best in Batu Pahat.
