Exceptional”

We‘re so glad that we booked this hotel for our short trip to Osaka - we loved it! There‘s free beer for 1h every day, the staff was so helpful and friendly and the hotel is very modern and elegant. The quality of the furnishings would give you the impression that you‘re paying for a much more expensive hotel. Big room size for Japan! We loved the free coffee and seating area. Overall the hotel had a young feeling. The location is slightly away from some points of interest in Osaka, but with the subway just 1min from the hotel, you can reach everywhere quickly.

Very pleased with the stay at The Lively. It's location is pretty good and accessible by both the green and red subways. Main tourist areas within walking distance, including Osaka Castle and Dotonbori lights. Free beer and pool table big hits. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms modern and smart, like the rest of the hotel. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Staff were excellent, location was perfect with the subway a minute walk away, 7Eleven just on the corner for convenience, rooms were very clean and beautiful! We can’t wait to come back to the Lively Osaka

Cool, modern looking hotel with English speaking staff”

Their rooms are a bit bigger than hotels you would find at similar price ranges. It’s conveniently located by Sakaisuji-Honmachi station, a <2 min walk. It’s also basically next to a 7 Eleven. If you’re only staying a couple nights, you can opt for not getting your room tidied and get a 1000¥ voucher for your meal downstairs! Also, free beer 5:30-6:30pm.

Spacious room in a less busy neighborhood ”

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the double room given that this is Japan and it is well known for its small rooms. There was enough space for our luggage, a double bed, a small couch and the bathroom. The front desk guy was kind enough to give us a higher floor with a good view. There was free beer from 5:30pm-6:30pm on the ground floor bar. The facilities are cozy and clean. I like that this is at a quieter part of Osaka-2 stops away from Dotonburi.

Convenient and Comfortable ”

This hotel has everything you need. It is centrally located. It was just a few train stops from all the places I read about and wanted to go. It was very comfortable and for a solo traveler it was exactly what I needed. I would stay here again if I were to get to Osaka.

Lovely time at the Lively”

We had a wonderful stay at the Lively A few additions to the hotel would be wonderful, a phone in room to contact the reception as we had a hard time finding the switch behind the bed to turn off the lights, we were able to leave it dimmed until I realized the switch went further if you turn it hard enough it will turn off. Due to corona virus breakfast buffet was in a different style, I have to say on our 2nd day we skipped the provided breakfast and went to the conbini around the corner and got breakfast there, it wasn't very appetizing. The room was nice and clean, at 2am I went into the reception as its a 24/7 reception and I couldn't find anyone but a phone, and I just wanted to make a quick inquiry if I could book another room right now, as my partners snoring was so loud I was about to put the pillow on his face and let it be. But since I couldn't find anyone to ask I went back up to the room.

Modern stylistic hotel for young people.”

The hotel location is not the best but is only a few minutes away from subway elevator entrance, a few stop and one or two transit will get you to wherever you want in Osaka. Clean room and friendly english speaking staff, the breakfast choose is limited though.

Awesome Hipster Hotel”

It was definitely a pleasant stay in this new establishment. Take exit 5 from sakaisuji hommachi station and the hotel is just few minutes walk away. The hotel provide an option to between daily housekeeping or giving a 3000 or 4000 yen voucher to be redeemed for f&b within the hotel. Personally, I find daily housekeeping make more sense hence opted for this option. They have pyjamas and slippers in the cabinet beside the fridge. Toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, vanity kit, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaver are provided - pretty sufficient. The local tv channels are all in Japanese and i am pretty glad that they have Netflix so what happened was, i actually logged in to my own account to watch it. The bed is definitely comfortable! However, there is no phone in the room so i reckon if you have any service issue, you gotta go down to level 2 or 3 where the hotel lobby is located. I won't hesitate to come back again! Love this establishment. :)

Great place to stay”

We stayed here for 6 days and got the King Premier room. It was very spacious and clean. Definitely much bigger room than regular hotel rooms you get in Japan. It was during covid-19 time when we went and the upstairs buffet was closed. Buffet was served downstairs instead. Honestly, I like it that way. They provide free coffee on the upper level. We didn't know until day 3 that coffee was provided. My partner and I would buy food (we didn't get breakfast package) and sat there, drinking some coffee and have breakfast food that we bought/make. There is also a microwave there if you need to heat up food. They also encourage no cleaning service, in exchanged for vouchers, which we use it for our breakfast meal on the last day. They changed our towels everyday and do simple cleaning too. Overall, i highly recommend this place. This place is very chill and feels like home. I wish I could stay longer.

Hotel Review”

I booked this hotel thinking that it was very near Honmachi Station (which is the accessible main subway line) Please do not be mistaken, it is actually near Sakaisuijihonmachi Station instead (which we barely used it because we need to transfer to another line most of the time) Stayed there for 2 nights, 2nd night we found out that they did not clear the toilet bin and there was a live cockroach hiding under the desk. We raised the issue to the reception and they could only apologise and nothing else. If you want to go Namba and Dotonburi (shopping district) take note it is at least 30 minute walk from the hotel)

Lovely new hotel - all new modern interiors. Cool outdoor bar area upstairs and free beer for an hour every day. The rooms are quite small but they all are in japan. There was no phone to call reception or housekeeping and there was no iron so a bit of a hassle to get one. Other than that it was a pleasant stay with friendly staff.

Modern hotel but not quite up to scratch”

All in all, our stay was good value for money given the price. The hotel is nice to look at on a surface level with new and modern fittings however on closer inspection there are a few things missing. No safe or lockbox in room, kettle and mugs in the hotel room but no tea or coffee facilities, no wardrobe or place to put suitcases, lovely rooftop bar but cash only. We also struggled to get a ‘happy hour beer’ from staff downstairs during happy hour and found a cleaning rag in our room when we first checked in. We paid a sale price for the hotel room so I wouldn’t call it a waste of money however I would temper your expectations.

Huge room value for money”

Very spacious, contemporary design, dim ambience, convenient, not on a busy street. But guests should ask for the address in Japanese because the hotel is still new so taxi drivers had a hard time finding it with english address or the hotel name.

Very modern and stylish hotel with good location”

I like the design and style of this hotel. Especially the fire warmer area. And of coz the daily free beer from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Hotel is very new and clean. Location is very near to the train station and very easy to find.

This was a really brilliant hotel. Free beer 5.30-6.30 at the bar. A little out of the way perhaps but very good value for money.

Stayed 6 nights with my holiday with position rooms, very large corner rooms with superb cleanliness, I like to buffet bfast with quality spreads, hope to have change of variety for Long staying guests, highly recommended for family looking for large room, clean and modern concept or business short trip stay.. Transport via metro to nearest station only a. Stone throw away.

Near to a local Train Station but a distance from the main Osaka area”

hotel is nice, modern and clean. no complaints about that. however, the location might have to be slightly compromised. be prepared to walk 20-30min if you are ending your night late at the dontonbori area.
