Stayed at LE9 for two days. Bus station is just right outside the hostel. Subway station (Karasuma Line) is also 1 min walk, which I appreciate since I am carrying heavy luggage. There is a 7-11 close to the hostel (1 min walk too). Location is very convenient. Staff are very nice and can speak english. Breakfast consists of boiled egg, toast, bread, butter, jam, coffee (instant since, there is brewed coffee sold at the café), juice and tea. Self-service so clean your dishes after using! The facilities were great too. There is a provided shampoo and body wash. Towels are also provided. There is a blower AND hair straightener which is not offered in other hostel. Note that there is no lift but the staff will initiate to help you bring your luggage to the second floor (where dormitories are located). Showers and restrooms are separate and shared for both men and women. But there is enough privacy so this is not an issue. Kitchen is equipped for cooking. There is a lounge area where you can meet people, same room where they serve the breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00, I think. Beds are comfortable and there is enough privacy. Literally, no one can see you from the inside once you close the curtains. Sheets are clean and blankets provided are warm. Additional blankets are provided outside the room too. I really happy with my stay here. Will definitely come back. Sets the bar high for me! ❤️

A wonderful stay for a bargain. ”
I stayed here for 4 days when I was traveling to Kyoto. It is very close to the subway (right around the corner) and there is a bus station that picks up and can take you to the shines/gion etc. There's a 7-11 down the street. Everyone is friendly and speaks English. The hostel is also a cafe that you can enjoy food and various drinks throughout the day. They offer all the facilities you need, a common room, breakfast in the morning (egg and bread) and you can request towels if you need to. The rooms are cozy and there are bathrooms and showers on the second floor (that's where I stayed). The common room is very lively, I made some wonderful friends staying here. The showers come with body wash and shampoo. Noise was above average for a hostel. They will hold your luggage past checkout if you want to explore the city more. Thanks for the stay LE9! Pros: Good price, facilities are modern, staff are very kind, close to transportation and convenience stores. Cons: No conditioner

Best hostel ever, very near Kyoto station!”
It's not the cheapest hostel you can find but it definitely is the best! The rooms are very clean, does not smell, and we get free amenities such as towel and extra blankets. The free breakfast was simple but filling, and the location is GREAT considering it's near Kytoto station. You can also exit from Kujo station, which is a few steps away from the hostel. The staff was also very very nice and helpful! I will recommend this to my friends, it's THE BEST hostel I've ever stayed in.

Our stay was super worth it. The place is strategically located near Kyoto Station (which makes it easy to transport from place to place) and at the same time, the area is peaceful and not too busy (which I personally like). The staff are very friendly and they give out drinks for a cheaper price! Yey! The kitchen and the room are super nice. You can work in the common area (for those of you working while travelling). And restroom is always clean and they provide toiletries too! Overall, will recommend this to my friends!

Great Hostel”
This Hostel was definitely one of the best hostels i’ve stayed. The staff is really helpfull and nice, they speak english too. Very clean rooms and common space, the baths are great, they give you a towel for you to use, slippers and extra blankets. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is breakfast every morning. Really quiet neighborhood and ambient. Will stay again when i go back to Kyoto. :) A.

Exceptional”
This hotel was just walking distance from Kyoto station, there is a bus stop at the door step. We took bus back after visiting Gion and Kiyomizu. There is a big 7 Eleven nearby, where there is a courier service to send our luggages to our next hotel. The staffs speak very good English, the lady who wore the artist's hat mending the reception was very helpful, giving us advise regarding the courier procedure, help us to get the form from 7 11 and help us to fill up the form. We stayed in the private room, the room is bigger that those of the hotel and the breakfast was simple western with good gourmet coffee set in their very relax instagramable restaurant.

good location, well service and reasonable price”
It takes five minutes walk from Kyoto station. There is a convenient shop nearby. Hostel offers simple breakfast but its great. Facilities are in good condition, tidy and clean. Overall the experience is amazing. I definitely recommended this for those who want to visit beautiful Kyoto.

The place is really clean with fully equipped kitchen, the bed and room we got is generously spaced for a hostel - we felt so comfortable. With free shampoo and liquid soap.The free breakfast (boiled egg, bread, jam, margarine)is good & filling. The ambiance is homey & friendly. My family had a very nice experience and we would definitely stay there again if we have a chance to visit Kyoto. Highly recommendable. Our tip to visitors would be study the routes and transportation very well to avoid getting lost & wasting precious time. Re location pls take karasuma line and alight at Kujo station ( one station after kyoto) then exit at exit#3. When you exit at #3 turn right and approx 30 steps to the hostel.

The hostel is right next to Kujo station exit 3 which is 1 stop away from Kyoto station. The hostel is also less than 5 min walk from Kyoto station. The place is so hip and instagramable and very peaceful as well. The staff are very accomodating as well. The only thing to note tho is that there is no elevator. So if you have heavy luggage ask help from the staff to ensure safety. Not a very big issue tho. The next time I go back to Kyoto, I will surely come here again.

very impressive place”
The hostel is near Kyoto station, you can walk there about 10 mins. They provide simple breakfast for guests. (bread, eggs, milk and orange juice) Towel is free and they already made the bed for you. (Some hostel they only give you bedsheet and you have to do it yourself.) The staff are nice and helpful. I just love this hostel and will go back again for sure.

Cozy hostel”
Just one minute from bus and subway stations. Staff are very nice and helpful. Large kitchen with nice street view. Very clean and safe. If I go to Kyoto in the future I definitely stay in this hostel again. Highly recommended.

The location is exactly next to Kujo Station. They have cafe on the ground floor where we can order some drink. The staff are also friendly. The room, kitchen, living room and bathroom are clean

The staff spoke English very well and was so accommodating. The shower and toilet were clean and well-maintained. Our room was so tiny though for 8-people capacity and if other travellers have two big suitcases, there won’t be enough space to walk around the room.

Great hostel, all the facilities of a hotel, with toiletries and hair dryers in room. Right next to metro station, for easy access to all the sites around Kyoto. Good breakfast included with our room rate, nice cafe to relax after site seeing with a few beers. Friendly and helpful staff.

The location is only one station away from Kyoto Station or just take a walk from there. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, especially Kento-san who helped us with our big luggages. Thank you. I'll definitely come back here when I had the chance
