Transitional elegance with a superb attention to details”

I have been blessed to visit several cities around the world but NY is special and unique to me. I have the opportunity to visit at least 3 times a year and as long as we can we will stay at The Mark! What makes this a very special "boutique hotel" is definitely its staff. Since you arrive you feel special. The willingness of all to satisfy their guests is incredible. Everyone gives the extra mile. One night my husband left his gloves in the courtesy car. I called the hotel as soon as he noticed and when we got back to the hotel they had left them in our room. Love the delicious chocolate macaroons left with turn down service. The flower cart in spring, the hot dog and ice cream cart in summer...The only thing that sadness me in The Mark is saying good bye.

A Fantastic Time”

This was the 1st time we stayed at The Mark Hotel but have been to several hotels on UES, so we love this location near to Central Park and close to cafes on Madison Ave and on Lexington Ave, to eat. The Staff were the key to this hotel being as fabulous as it was and truly added to our fantastic experience at The Mark, from reception check-in to bell-boys and bar staff. All the staff were so polite, friendly and helpful which is not always a given in a 5 star hotel, but they were all so relaxed and effortless in the way in which it came across. So for this reason we would return initially and also the fact that The Mark is a classic example of a luxurious, contemporary 5* hotel on the UES. thanks to ALL at the Mark

Quiet elegance on the Upper East Side”

I stayed at the Mark 8 years ago, before the renovation. It was quiet and understated then, and is even better now. What I like is that the lobby is small and compact, with the bar on one side and the dining room directly in front (dining room doors are closed in the evening, giving it an even cozier feel). The rooms are small, but everything I needed was there: wi-fi access, B&O electronics, a huge ice machine/freezer area, and lots of closet space. The one problem was that there was not much sitting space in the room (no reading chairs), but the bed more than made up for it. Service is great - very friendly and professional. I was trapped here during Irene and really did not mind a bit!

Great boutique hotel”

Overall it was great hotel and the room was beautiful as well. But the staffs were not as much nice as I expected from reading other reviews. Their friendly service seemed to be focused to certain guests. Nice stay, but not impressive enough to come back.

Great Location and service”

Nice hotel had one overlooked issue but it was immediately corrected. 3 min walk to New York Central Park.

Highly recommended if you are into pure luxary ”

Really good hotel with good size good. location is wonderful near Central Park and Met Museum .. Shopping is delighted and food in the hotel is awesome!

the front desk has upgraded us to Madison King room. High Speed internet provided. free white wine provided as our honeymoon gift. Comfortable room with big bath tub. Pleasant stay and will go back again next time.

Excellent. Suggest adding a club upholstered chair in the room. No place to sit comfortably in a chair and read or watch TV.

Really a nice stay and close to Central Park”

It's a great and quiet hotel stone throw away from Central Park.... Lovely! It will be a great hotel to stay during spring summer... You will be able to see squirrels all around Central Park
