Best stay experience”

If you are looking for a beach life and also life in city, I would seriously recommend this hotel as the location is very strategic. The beach is only 5 minutes walk and it is a heaven for surfers. As for the city, it is in legian where there is a lot of shoplots and 24-hour mart is just around the corner. You can get practically anything you need. You could rent a motobike to go to kuta for a night/party scene. Only 10 minutes ride. The service provided by the sun hotel & spa hotel is superb! I requested for roses on the bed upon my arrival as i am coming with my wife for our honeymoon and we weren't dissappointed. The staffs are really friendly and would very much please to accomodate to your request. I would like to thank the staff for their great service! If I am coming to bali for a holiday, i would definitely choose the sun hotel & spa for my stay!

Great Little Place off the Main Street”

i've been to Bali many times, but this was my first time at The Sun Hotel & Spa Legian. My flight got in after 3:00 am, but the staff was very attentive and quick to check me in even though it was very late (or early). They were very attentive, meeting all my needs, including letting me leave my luggage for a while after checking out. The spa is simple but very relaxing and the girls are well trained. They also have a great seafood bbq one night. i would definitely recommend this place.

Nice small hotel”

This is a nice little hotel in the heart of Legian. There are tons of comparable places in the area, but I found myself at the Sun. Its a nice little hotel with few guests which makes it a quiet, peaceful place to stay in Bali. The location is nice, as the beach is a short walk away and there are dozens of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The WiFi is also excellent. The one thing I didn't like is that there is no sun on the pool deck... Ironic that the hotel is called the Sun, when the sun doesn't even reach the pool. This wasn't a deal breaker for me, and it shouldn't be for you, as everyone should be at the beach.

Great Value family Hotel ”

The staff here are excellent and the rooms are good value for money. We enjoyed the daily smorgasbord breakfast which offers a reasonable variety of Balinese and Western food. We dined here a few nights and again the food was good but there are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. When booking here do not expect a resort, it isn't, but it is a very good hotel where you will spend a lot of time out at the beach, shopping or seeing the sights and then come back for a swim on the way back to the room before deciding where to go for dinner. We found Frankie at FJ travel around the corner very good when arranging our day trips. Definitely on our list of places to stay next time, it is not easy to accommodate a family of 5 in Bali and we found the hotel both comfortable and enjoyable. Our only disappointment was Agoda's failure to rectify (we did advise them) the voucher error which saw our "room with breakfast" listed as breakfast not included. The hotel staff were able to fix this for us but it should not have happened. Our thanks to the Management and Staff at The Sun Hotel and Spa for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Hidden Gem”

The old adage you get what you pay for does not apply to the The Sun. I’ve stayed many times, the rooms are clean and a delight to enter. This was my 19th trip to bali and i’ve stayed in rooms $30 to $300, The Sun Hotel & Spa is my all time favourite. Staff are friendly but most importantly they are genuine and sincere which elsewhere is often not the case. Location is excellent. They always let me check in early where some hotels will leave you waiting even after 3pm, encouraging you to “wait at the bar” which i find rude and annoying. The Sun never use any of these tactics and are happy to accommodate any request. I will always go back as they restore my love of Bali after trying other places.

A great venue, wonderful experience, but the hotel is only as good as it’s staff, they are fantastic”

All staff have become like family Every time I visit Bali I cannot go past the Sun Hotel and Spa From my first stay until now the staff have always always been respectful, helpful kind and ready to assist I have stayed at many other hotels both more and less expensive to explore more of Bali and Indonesia however I always return to the Sun Hotel and Spa simply because it’s clean, value for money and mainly because the staff are excellent Keep up the great work

Excellent hotel at a great price”

I was impressed with the cleanliness - it was spotless. In my 8 nights there I did not see a single mosquito or spider so I was pleased about that. The air conditioner was fantastic as was the free WiFi - either on my own device or the computer they have available for guests to use. The linen was completely changed every day - not just tidied up. The room had everything I needed - the safe was fantastic, and although the shower was small that is a minor thing, but I would advise taking your own shower gel as they supply soap. The staff were fantastic, they were friendly and helpful to the point of nothing being too much trouble. The pool was great - clean and cold. The food in the restaurant is really nice and reasonably priced - I heard the pasta on pasta night was the best pasta my family had ever eaten. The hotel has a money changer that is regularly on site and I would recommend using them instead of risking the local money changers. I was never interrupted by noise and enjoyed the range of TV channels available. The on-site spa has well priced treatments and were enjoyed. On the down side the towels were a little scratchy but that's minor. The hotel is a little difficult for drivers to access as the street is very narrow, but they managed. Everything I needed was close by the hotel - just across the road is a laundry, deli (for bottled water etc) Ted's bar. Just around the corner is Warung Kapung ( cheap yummy food - please try the Mie Goreng and fruit juice all up $2.50 AUD) and on the corner to the Warung is a shop run by an elderly gentleman who has great souvenirs at a really good price. I plan to stay at this hotel again when I go back to Bali later this year.

Excellent location and value”

Pros: The hotel is in prime location, very close to Kuta beach and Legian area. Most Warungs and shops are also close by. Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Courteous and helpful staff. Well maintained swimming pool. No noise issues from parties for a good night sleep. Cons: Wifi coverage was an issue in one of the rooms. Safety locker was malfunctioning and making beeping noise. But it was quickly fixed by staff. Overall we had a pleasant experience at The Sun Hotel and Spa.

Everything just perfect!”

Me and my wife spent 5 days and 4 nights at The Sun Hotel & Spa Legian and we were very pleased. All staff were friendly, polite and helpful from the welcome to the departure. The Deluxe Balcony rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished and a well equipped. One thing for sure, we enjoyed our stay and gladly will return there.

Value for money accomodation”

This hotel provided me with much value for the money paid. *Facilities - sufficient for my needs and the cost of the room. *Staff - very friendly and helpful *Breakfast - was great and more then I had expected *Location - excellent; walking distance to the markets/shops and Legian Beach *Spa - was fantastic! The prices reasonable, atmosphere and staff were great. Would definitely stay again if traveling to Bali.

A wonderful stay and fantastic staff ”

I will stay again on my next trip loved the staff so helpful in every way great food as in breakfast although a menu change more often would be ok the coffee is to die for the value for money was great i loved it and would suggest to anyone to stay there if they want a great hastle free stay in Bali ... Amazing and value for money”

We stayed at the sun hotel and spa for 7days and it was absolutely great and value for the price. We will no doubt be coming back and staying at the sun. Staff went over and beyond their jobs, always happy, friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic, but they where CLEAN! For travellers like ourself we only spend little hours in the room so it was more than what we bargained for. Daily room cleaning just meant a fresh room to sleep after a long day. Location was great not to far from the party life and in good surroundings. We loved it so much we came back for our final night and the staff sorted out storing our luggage and having it ready in our room when we got back.

Another Great Stay!”

This was our second stay and they were fantastic again! They hosted myself and my partner including 20 of our friends. We all had a fantastic time! This hotel is in a great location and close to everything! Any first time Bali travellers that don’t want to spend a fortune, come here! Highly recommend this hotel and recommend a poolside room! The Sun Hotel and Spa”

A lovely little hotel hidden away up Jl. Lebak Bene. A small road off Melasti St. The rooms were on the smaller side but were nice and clean and adequate for our needs. Bathroom was really small but had a shower, vanity and toilet. Swimming pool right outside our door. Water was freezing but very refreshing. Breakfast had a reasonable choice of foods for all local and tourists. The staff were all very nice and helpful and couldn't be faulted. We would stay at the Sun Hotel again if we went to Bali. Price was very reasonable.

Very friendly staff !”

This was my second time at The Sun Hotel & Spa, once again all the staff were very helpful and very friendly. Both times that I've been here it has been enjoyable to say the least. They all make you feel very welcome. I wouldn't hesitate recommending staying here to anyone as it is awesome value for money, great meals as well as great service. On my next trip to Bali I will be staying here again for sure.

Strategically located!”

We arrived at the sun hotel & spa legian and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with smiles and welcome drinks! The hotel is Located with a lot of shops nearby. Suggested if you want to go shopping for souvenirs!

Great budget hotel ideally located in quieter part of Legian”

4* luxury at a fraction of the price, The Sun Hotel is located on Jl Lebak Bene off the noisier JL Melasti. The hotel is quiet and is in walking distance of the cleaner Legian beach, Legian art market and numerous excellent restaurants. I will definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff and worth for money !”

The price rate is reasonable and the staff are so friendly ! We got welcome drinks from hotel while waiting for check in. The buffet breakfast tastes good, but the environment could improve more like cleanliness of tables, chairs, forks and spoons. Understand there are a lot of flies in Bali but it doesn't feel good to have them around while eating. I booked a triple room. The bed added is not very stable, can feel it shakes when try to turn side. Overall, is a good choice to stay in The Sun ! Love the swimming pool and balcony, is super relaxing !

Value for money! Great location and facilities”

This hotel is really great value for money. The location is close to everything in Legian and walking distance to the beach. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the facilities themselves are clean and well maintained. Only negative is the bathroom is a bit small but pictures are accurate, but this isn't a major issue. Also the pool is fully shaded which is great sun protection but does mean the pool is a bit cold. Aside from this, I couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend the stay here!

Exceptional”

Unless you have a room around the pool there is no where really to lay around and sunbake. You could ask if there was a room free and use their sun lounge. Would have felt more comfortable if there were sun umbrellas and sun lounge at the end of the pool. If you have active kids who love swimming it’s probably not the place to stay. Friendly staff and always accommodating. Staff in spa lovely. Got a good deal on Agoda so it was value for money this time.
