Great for traveler's on a shoe string budget”

Well, it's not Le Bua, but if you're on a budget, it's a good choice. Nice location about 5-7 minutes from BTS Sala Daeng, close to Patpong Market and other bars and restaurants as well as Central Silom location. The rooms have AC at night, the bathrooms were clean (although there was not a bathroom on the 6th floor where I stayed), and towels were provided which is a nice amenity. However, the bunk beds could be very creaky and there was construction happening next door during my stay. That work started around 9:30 AM and was quite loud (like literally happening on the adjoining wall).

Can’t blame, it’s old”

The staff are very nice and always smiling. The location is perfect. The beddings are kinda new. But the building is old, so you can smell smoke from downstairs smoking area. And the hostel on the same building is undergoing some renovations so it’s noisy during the day time.

Just pay a little extra and get a better hostel”

The cleanliness wasn't that much of a problem for me, as well as how old the facility is. The reason I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone is that they are stingy and only open AC at night and that the staff will only be available after 10 AM onward. If you want to have a place to hang out all day, just pay an extra 10 baht and go to another hostel. However, if you really want to stay in this area, it is an OK place to stay if you just wanted a place to lay down for a night.

Just bad”

The whole reason I stayed here is because other hostels were sold out of single rooms with shared bathrooms. The only good thing about this hostel is location. The room was smelly. It smelled like some kind of mosquito spray or floor cleaning liquid. It was unpleasant. It smelled like a massage place. The floor was really sticky. I arrived around 7 am. and no one was there. They posted phone numbers on the door but when I called them, no one answered. I had to carry my luggage with me. Fortunately, I only needed the place to sleep only. Shower pressure is very low. There was this smelly urinal next to a shower area. This place really needs renovating. For single rooms with shared bathrooms, it's not worth the price at all because I could get the same rate at a hostel at the opposite side which is so much better than this place.

The staff is really friendly and helpfull. The dorm rooms are big enough, comfy bed, free coffee and tea!

I stayed at the urban age hostel for a couple of nights and it was great. Location is perfect (bus stop, sky train and near to loads of veggie food stalls),it's cheap for being BKK, the staff is always willing to help and try to make you feel at home. The wifi works fine and the bathrooms are clean. I have to admitt that during the might it is abot noisy because it is a soi street of silom road, but i mean, it's the concrete jungle we're talking about. Just put some earbuds in and it will be fine, or go for a good walk and you'll be so tired you will sleep like a baby! I will deffo come back if i'm at bkk again :D

Great place for a budget traveller”

The location is great, near to everything in Silom & a short walking distance to MRT & Skytrain. Whoever commented the place was dirty & horibble, that was probably before the renovation. I was sceptical at first when I booked for the place but chose to risk it because of the great price & location. But when I arrived, I was greeted by a sweet & friendly receptionist and the pleasant albeit small lobby. The room was clean & nice. Certainly more than good enough for me to sleep & take a rest for a while before I venture out the whole day to see the wonderful things in Bangkok. That's the whole point of visiting here right? Of course the hostel could do better, but for the price, I have no complain.

Best Value for Money”

Location, Budget Friendly & Helpful Staff

The Urban Age Hostel is located in the heart of the city, very accessible and is a short walk to Patpong. There are so many dining and shopping options within the area. Pai, the receptionists, is very warm and friendly. She showed me my room and helped me stored my luggage so I do not have to carry them inside the room. There was free coffee and tea available at the reception area. The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained. The dorm rooms are at the higher floors and there is no lift but this is manageable as long as you have limited luggage. The fast internet is next to none. I find this hostel an excellent value for money.

Good for one night”

Good location and cheap

We basically just used the hostel as a place to sleep. The location is great since Silom is a fun street and the BTS is so close. It's not extremely clean, but its ok. My biggest gripe would be the limited bathrooms. Staying in a dorm and having to share one toilet and one shower with about 10 people is rough. There are other hostels I would stay in for longer stays, but for one night Urban Age was good.

Close to the BTS, lots of shopping, local markets, lots of local food and close to Patpong Night Market. Great service - the reception is very friendly and speaks English well. The hostel is in need of renovation but it's adequate for the price and location. We changed our booking from a couple days to 6 because of the location and price.

If only they kept it clean, it would be perfect”

Friendly staff (both the girl and the boy) who spoke good English (best English in Thailand) & Great Location

We stayed for 1 night at the Siam Classic Double Private Room for two on the 2nd Floor (facing the street) in October 2015. The biggest disappointment was the dirty bathroom and shower. Also, it was too homely like a student dorm - things were messy near the staircase on ground floor. Our room had clean sheets, but the whole room looked really old and felt like it was never renovated. The room did not resemble the picture on Agoda at all. It was the same room, but the room felt 10 years older than in the picture. Things were run down and the curtains were quite old. In short - this is not a well kept place. However, we also paid only 573 THB (low season discounted price) and we couldn't find any other double private room in Silom under this price. You will not find a cheaper private double room than here in Silom. So, if budget is an issue, go for this place and just ignore the messy and unkept bathroom. You are paying close to nothing for staying in a great location. Also, we met some of the friendliest and best English speaking staff at this hostel during our stay in Thailand.

Basic facilities yet great location and value for money”

This hostel is situated near BTS Sala Daeng station and surrounded by many stores to choose from. The staff are nice and friendly. It is currently undergoing renovation (construction is usually done late in the morning). The room that I've stayed in the 3rd floor has just been renovated. Facilities are basic (good bed, shared CR, Wifi). I hope that they provide drinking water to their guests.

Great Location, Helpful Staff and Nice Lobby

I was lost my way to find this hostel at the first because I forgot to screenshot the map before I arrive in Bangkok.. But the location basically preety good, near to MRT and BTS station, the night markets and few shopping complex.. The room bit crumpy for 6 people, the bed is ok but the bathrooms and toilet should be clean up often.. The bathroom floor bit dirty and obviously not smell good.. But I am really thankful to the staff Pai which so lovely helping me so much during my stay.. Really recommended if you are in really tight budget..
