Good service but dinner is not as expected”
As a traditional Japanese onsen hotel, the service is very good. Dinner food is a very small portion compared with other hotels. There are only 4 very small piece of sashimi which should be the focal point of the dinner for a hotel in Ise. The beef is like a piece of paper and the taste is disappointed. I am surprised why the guests gave the food quite a high rank.

Beautiful location and facilities”
Toba was my first trip outside of the usual "tourist" Japan, and it did not disappoint. The Hotel Int'l Shiojitei is a beautifully done place, with a clean, minimalist "vibe" to it, but with a touch of modern flair. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One thing to keep in mind is that in the area of Toba, Ise, Mie (nearby places you'll probably visit), English is a little less spoken there, so having some knowledge of Japanese will help, but is not entirely mandatory. Just be prepared to know what it is you need to ask about whatever it is you are requesting. Otherwise, everything about the area, the Hotel, the sights are a must experience. Lastly, about the Hotel, their onsens were remarkable! In partnership with Mikimoto pearls, two of their outdoor onsens have a "pearlescence" to them, making them glitter and shine, in the water, which later transfers onto you. Just a nice little touch to what the area is also known for, which are pearls. Great place!

We liked the staff and the facilities ere quite beautiful. Perhaps you could provide a walking path along the shoreline and noting it on a map with the room information. We have suggested to the other hotels we visited after Toba that for foreign visitors visiting during a natural event like typhoon Lan, providing more information (such as NHK World news casts) can help provide them with more information and understanding. So even though the hotel and staff may be assured of thei ability to deal with the extreme weather, their foreign guests might also be assured.

Absolute Delight”
Absolute delight! Very easily confused with Toba International Hotel which is 5min drive away, but so glad I stayed here. Very hospital welcoming with drink and local cheese cake. Staff speak good English at front desk. Hot spring with Mikimoto pearl powder added is a true delight. Food is of great quality. Already looking forward to my next stay here.

Had higher expectations..”
Stayed here for 3 nights as I read wonderful reviews about the hotel. It was ok overall. Check in was excellent as staff waited for us to arrive n served us their award winning cheese cake. There was some minor construction going on which spoilt the view a little. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast got a little stale by the third day and we were surprised that they wanted to charge us for a tiny glass of juice when we asked for one more. We were not told it was chargeable and thought it was part of breakfast. After some protest, they waived it off finally. Service was professional but felt a little cold at times. Having said that, It’s probably one of the best hotels in Toba and a 2 night stay is perfect with their pearl onsen. Anything longer gets a little boring.

Perfect hotel for relaxation”
We like the environment and design (especially, the ideas of simplicity, peacefulness and thoughtfulness) of the hotel very much. We stayed in the hotel for two nights. From the start, we were served with delicious cheese cakes and green tea at the sofa next to the reception. We went to the onsen twice. At the end, we were arranged to have a breakfast buffet in the restaurant of the sister hotel. The quality of food served by both hotels was very good.

Lovely hot spring hotel. The included breakfast and dinner were amazing. The hot spring has pearl in it so feel very luxurious. The only thing is Toba has not much to see and travel to Ise can be a pain. If they offer shuttle bus more than just to the train station will make this hotel more attractive. Also, they have a new wing which wasn’t advertised when I booked. The new wing is much much nicer.

overall is great, no matter the food or the staff/Room/Spa. But if you miss the shuttle bus, you have to walk upon to the hotel around 15-20 mins. Its not feeling good if you walk alone at night. The staff is super nice and helpful tho.

- no shuttle bus when arrive late (around 17:00, 18:00), but we see shuttle bus of 4-5 other hotels, even for the one near the station. not far but not easy to arrive. diner included is just so so, taste lower than expectation. timeslot for dinner is limited, we have no choice when arrived. + good service at welcome good hot spring
