Right in the centre - great pick”

The Travelodge Hotel is located right in the centre of Sydneys CBD: Just 10 minutes walking distance from Sydney Harbour and the Opera House, close to the Rocks with its nice Bars and Sunday Markets and convenient to walk to the main Shopping Malls in George Street and Pitt Street. This hotel was a great pick for us 3 friends as the main attractions were in walking distance and it is a great price in this location. The rooms were ok and the train station was just around the corner. Located in a busy area we were a bit worried that it might be very noisy, but it wasn't noisy at all. There was unfortunately no nice view out of the window but we didn't really care being outside all day. I would definately stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone that likes to do sightseeing and shopping.

Good location, all the basics and well kept”

travelodge wynyard is in a great location in sydney cbd - halfway (10 min walk) between pitt st mall and the rocks - there was a 6am-midnight woolies just around the corner as well. i stayed for business and couldn't really fault it - check-in/out was smooth, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and serviced well. also was really well priced (i had to pay for accom from an allowance so price was still important). don't expect a lavish hotel but it has everything you need. look and feel the foyer was nice but the hallways were a bit dingy - most importantly, the room was decent but not lavish or anything. definately not a romantic getaway overall i'd recommend it for the budget conscious who want a decent stay in a good location

Great location, service with a smile and good food”

Very enjoyable stay in this hotel. First, very great location with less than 10mins distance to central area, darling harbor and circular quay and only 50 meters to Wynyard train station from where only 20mins to Sydney Airport. Second, Good services with a smile, delicious local foods in its restaurant and luggage store service on the day of checkout. Third,Free pick up point if you have signed up Sydney landed tours. One of leading hotels in Sydney. Last and the most important, the price is quite reasonable given it is located at such a convenient location. I will choose this hotel if I would be in Sydney again and will recommend to my friends definitely.

Good beds”

Hotel is 100 meters from Wynyard train station and walking distance from most things you would like to see in Sydney CBD, Rocks area and Sydney Opera House. Car parking is 40$ a day. Bathrooms are small but have been renovated recently. Standard and executive rooms are the same but executive rooms are on higher floors and a bit more quiet from street noise. 500MB free WiFi per day. I would rate this hotel 3+ star. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems. Good for short stay in Sydney for shopping and see the sights.

Tourist Haven”

Excellent Tourist Hotel ideally located for all venues and close to rail station, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. The only problem we had was the noise in room 1315 from the lift Mechanism between 10pm & approx. 12 midnight. As we retire early it was hard to get to sleep. We were offered another room by the staff but as we had unpacked we could not be bothered to re pack and move. Don't, let this comment put you off as this is the most economic and value for money stay in Sydney. Thanks to all at Travelodge Wynyard. Norm.

Travelodge Wynyard Hotel”

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is within walking distance to the Rock, Opera House and Shopping malls in Central Business District of Sydney. This hotel is definitely value for money for people who are looking for "no-frill" stay in Sydney. The hotel can be quite busy, especially during the breakfast hours. The staffs in the restaurant were kind and fast to accomodate our request during the busy breakfast hours, as we had our 7-month old daughter dining with us. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in Travelodge Wynyard.

Good location”

The hotel is located in Sydney CBD. You can get to many tourist attractions (QVB, Sydney Town Hall, Sydney Tower Eye, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Wild Life Zoo & Sea Life Aquarium, Hyde Park) with just only few minutes walk. There is also nearby train station (Wynyard). Very convenient!

Great Stay @ Travelodge Wynyard”

The Travelodge Wynyard is a great place to stay, if you are looking to visit all the sites in Sydney. It is centrally located and easily accessible. The room was small, but their slogan is "Your luggage spends more time in your room than you do!" Given that, you wont mind the size and the beds were actually quite big. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Well priced and in a great location”

with this hotel, the name over the door says travelodge, and that is what you get - a three star chain hotel. what is outstanding is the location - right in the heart of the city and a five to ten minute walk from the rocks, circular quay, the qeeen victoria building and other major sites. in ten to fifteen minutes you can walk to darling harbour. it is next door to a major railway station (wynyard) so it is a simple matter to get to most places you would want to visit. our room was on the 17th floor facing the street, however there was no traffic noise. the hotel has limited parking available ( per day) however you cannot reserve a space. rooms were pretty much standard for a travelodge, although a good size for sydney. ours was well fitted and maintained. we did have some problems with sloppy housekeeping however. we reported this to the front desk staff who arranged for the duty manager and housekeeping manager to inspect the room. they agreed that the maid's work was not up to standard and the room was remade immediately. the state of the room was something that would have meant that we never stayed at the wynyard travelodge, but the way the issue was handled ensured that we will be back. problems happen in all hotels, it is the way in which they are handled that keeps clients happy. on the whole, a good three star chain hotel.

The hotel is in a great location in Sydney cbd and close to the Wynyard train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although a room is not large size, it is compact, having all needed facilities and cleaness. I recommend this hotel because you would get than what you paid.

Good price, excellent location and comfortable”

part of a large chain and considerably upgraded from the last time i stayed here roughly 7-8 years ago. location is excellent, with wynyard station almost on the doorstep, providing easy access to and from the airport without worrying about traffic delays. the ramp up to the front door is very useful for lugging heavy suitcases in and out. rooms on the upper floor have good views over many of the city buildings, as does the very small and just adequate gym. my room was a good size and the bathroom, though small, was very functional, with good water pressure and no wait for hot water! i didn't eat most meals here, but the breakfast buffet is very adequate and gluten free bread was available on request. good price for its location is the main reason i returned to the hotel, as being able to walk to the art gallery, opera house, the rocks, sydney theatre company and the main shopping areas, yet still be near ferries, buses and trains when i need them is just what i require while in sydney.

Handy location to train station and sightseeing”

We stayed 4 nights in a triple room upgraded to a king size bed with a single bed in another bedroom. Breakfasts were included and included the usual warm and cold foods, juices, made to order eggs, hot drinks, a good variety of cereals and cut fruits. 10 minutes walk to Circular Quay, 15 minutes walk to Sydney Opera House and 9 minutes walk to The Rocks. Wynyard Train Station is just 1 minute beside hotel.

Would recommend for business travel on a budget”

If you can book the hotel for $ you are getting great value for money. Clean, tidy, decent bathroom and TV. After a few horror experiences at budget hotels in Sydney I am very happy with my experience at Travelodge Wynyard. Nothing special, but definitely much better than the competition in this price bracket.

we stayed 4nights in total at Travelodge Wynyard Hotel, and it was nice. room was a little bit small and dark but clean and conforatable. the staff stored our baggage willingly for 2days, because we had 2nights trip to Ayers Rock between our stays in Sydney. location was near Circlar Quay and Darking Harbour, just 10mins walking to there

Fabulous Hotel”

I loved staying at Travelodge Wynyard Hotel. The staffs were helpful and friendly. Furthermore, the hotel is located in the CBD (City Business District) Sydney, it closed to city attractions, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping malls (QvB, Westfield and Chinatown). It was a delightful time staying at Travelodge Wynyard Hotel. However, it a little pricey for students since I am a student staying there with my friends but after all the hotel was great. I would love to stay at Travelodge Wynyard Hotel again sometime.

Very convenient and comfortable”

We needed a place for an overnight stay while attending a program at the Sydney Opera House. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Staff were most helpful. The room was bright, spacious and the bed and room most comfortable. The location suited our purposes nicely -- close to Wynyard Railway Station and just 10minutes walk to the Opera House. We'll be back.

Travelodge Wynyard Hotel is 2 mins' walk from the train station and about 10 mins' walk from The Rocks and Circular Quay, where one can find a variety of eateries and awesome view of Sydney Opera House and MCA. Hotel room is clean and spacious, although the lift does take a while to arrive, especially during the morning peak. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Affordable, central location, comfortable”

Newly renovated bathrooms. Nice room. Car park provided by hotel is difficult for bigger cars. VERY tight spaces. Was only JUST enough space to get down in a single cab Triton ute. Expensive at $45 a night for parking now, but standard price across Sydney CBD.
