What guests are saying:
We loved staying here. Really relaxing. Room simple, as advertised, and location is peaceful surrounded by lovely garden, large pond and jungle. This is a remote location though so don't stay if you want a night out on town. Home cooked dinner was delicious.

A great place to stay if you are looking to relax and unwind. The service and information is wonderful and the rooms and grounds are well cared for. There is only a short walk to a beach that is virtually your own..

A Nature Getaway from your busy lifestyle from city”
An absolutely amazing experience here.My bf and I are seeking a trip that could get us away from the hectic lifestyle back in our city and workplace. If you adore quietness and serenity, environment surrounded by nature, where in the morning, you awaken with listening to the sound of the rooster and feeling morning breeze. At night, you would stargaze and listen to the sound of crickets and read a book under the moonlight. Treetop would really the best place you could find. We rested well. The hosts and the family are very friendly and helpful. They have dogs and cats too! perfect for those who are animals, lovers. The room is clean and tidy. Bathroom too. The place is quite a distance from the town, so it would be advisable to rent a car to be able to move around. But it's definitely worth your stay! Would definitely come back again :) Thanks for the amazing trip we had! Couple from KL

        Relaxing getaway, away from city/town”
My husband and I booked the place with one thing in mind, getting away from all the hustle and bustle of our everyday urban life and relax our minds to somewhere secluded and relaxing. Treetops lodge had greatly offer that relaxation we had been meaning to have for a very long time. Getting to Treetops will be a challenge without any phone map as the road leading there is dark at night but we had no problem looking for it since we had GPRS in hand and Treetop Lodge has strategically placed their signage at the main junction along the Jalan Bakam road. Treetop is about an average of 30mins from Miri town and is quite out of the way from anything (no walking-distance minimart, restaurants etc). During our stay, Connie (and her lovable toddler, Tristan) had been nothing but accommodating and made our stay special and felt like home. Our room (Room No 4) condition exceeds our expectation where the mattress is very cosy, there is a remote air-conditioning AND also a remote ceiling fan in the room along with hot shower available 24/7. The room gives us the 'kampong'-vibe feels that we have been longing for. We had no serious mosquito-bitten incident within our room and our outside porch as the owner was thoughtful to leave a lit mosquito repellent outside, next to our front door. Their surroundings are well-kept with loads of greens and flowers. Breakfast served is just the basic hot beverage, toast & jams, fresh fruits from their garden and the all-time asian favourite instant noodles, maggi mee, either fry-cooked or the soup-based style noodle. (P.S: go for the fry-cooked! Delicious). If you want to have dinner here, you'll need to inform them in advance (we didn't since we had a car to drive out for dinners). There is a limit of internet usage per device, so be aware once you use them all up, you will no longer to have any more internet connection. We have not much to complain about it since we came here to switch ourselves off from our busy everyday life. Overall

If you like quiet place & sleeping to the sound of jungle, this is the place! It's a family running lodge and they are lovely people. The wife cooked good local dish for dinner, the room was good and the surrounding was peaceful. Did lots of reading and just enjoying being 'disconnected'.

        Nature, beaches, fishing
My daughter and I felt well taken care of. We rented a car for 3 days and took a day trip to Lambir Hills and a longer road trip to Niah Caves and Similanju national park. The hosts at Treetop went over and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable and at home. We stayed in the double bedroom our first few nights and eventually went into the longhouse. My daughter was over the moon about catching 3 fish (and eating them too.) The location is not near anything, the WiFi was hazy but to me that was the charm, sort of disconnecting with the outside world. I can't imagine staying there without renting the car though. Friendly felines, dogs and turtles, a great place for older children.

        Serene, Great Service and Wine
I stayed here last April for a few days with 2 of my friends. It was everything I expected. Tucked away from the city. It was just a little bit hard to find but there are signs everywhere. I loved the service. The staff gave us everything we wanted. There was wine and beer available. Also the food that was served was great! :) Just heads up, you know youre staying in a forest so come prepared with all your bug sprays. Oh did I say that its just a 10min walk to a secluded beach? :)

Quiet location, great gardens, homestay feel
We had a good time here. Rooms are basic but match the price - you can hear the rain patter on the roof, although it can get quite hot without the air con (the more expensive rooms, not in the longhouse, are better in this sense, although you don't get as much of a sense of being in the middle of nowhere, as the non-longhouse rooms are up by the main reception). Very easy to while away an afternoon lounging around in the hammock. Would come again.

Friendly staff, peaceful location, space to relax
This place has got character; it is peacefully located outside of the city centre and has great surroundings. It was nice to sit and read a book in the garden amongst the plants. Food is basic but good, and with some extra touches like the occasional fruit smoothie or freshly cut fruit. The owner also arranged a really friendly driver to take us into town and pick us up again later. Basic, but a pleasant place to stay.

        Tranquil, green, friendly staff
It was a pleasant experience as the lodge was in a quiet area, surrounded by nature and the staff is very friendly, esp the owner who can tell you all kinds of stories and provide good information on Miri and Niah. However, it's located between Miri and Niah caves, so it's better if you have the convenience of your own transport for easy mobility; otherwise you will have to rely on public transport. Also, the rooms were not very clean; there was a layer of dust on the side tables, and one of the lamps had cobwebs. The bathroom sink needs proper cleaning too. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and the aircond works well, although it takes time to generate cold air. Because it's in the middle of nature, please bring an insect repellent.

1.Unique design of longhouse 2.Attentive owners & staff 3. Relaxing hotel in good nature forest
I had an enjoyable stay here. The hotel rooms was clean, had a unique design of longhouse. Thw owners was very attentive to us. Will definitely recommend this nature stay to friends. The only small downside is that the location of the hotel is quite hard to find. You got to travel by car if you arriving by night because it is situated quite far and very dark from the main road. But other than that i enjoyed by stay there.

Mike and Esther are super friendly and helpful owner/managers. They stored l luggage for me when I went to Mulu and helped me sort out transit to their gorgeous paradise. They also upgraded me to a super nice room with a private bath. They only downside is that the lodge is a relatively expensive taxi ride from the Miri airport.

        Gardens, chilled vibe, location
Treetops Jungle Lodge is set in a beautiful garden with pond, fish and lilies. It is a very tranquil place to escape to from Miri for a night or two, or to use a a base for exploring the local area. We stayed in a room in the main house - rooms are basic but more than adequate. The beach is a short drive from the lodge so one's own transport is highly recommended. We will definitely be returning!

i had a pleasant stay here. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the room i stayed in was comfy and there was no tv so it was a relaxing stay. the wifi though was quite slow and expect lots of mosquitoes as the place is near the jungle. i was provided with free breakfast which consisted of free coffee/tea and bread-make ur own toast. you can also order other food but u gotta pay for it of course. the location is quite far from town and however was quite a dissapointment coz i thought the place is really near d beach but it is quite far if u plan to walk to d beach.
