A BRAND NEW HOTEL!!!”

Trove Johor Bahru was located near the Checkpoint. It is about 5 minutes drive from City Square Shopping Mall. I booked the Deluxe King room for the weekend and I was impressed with the space of the room. It was HUGE. I would say it was quite "Atas" feeling. The Bathroom was spacious as well and they provided alot of complimentary toileries. The room has water dispenser which was convinient. Iron and Ironing Board was provided as well. I would say the room is complete. I opted for the Breakfast Buffet and I was not disappointed with the food they served. Western cuisine to Local. Quite a wide spread I would say. You can be very full if you try every dishes. Tho room was SUPER DUSTY, Uncomfortable Pillows, Poor Check-out Service.

The Newest Kid in the Block”

Trove is a new hotel situated close to the Singapore-Malaysia Causeway, right in the heart of Johor Bahru. Although the hotel is still on a "soft launch", - only rooms on a few floors available and most of the hotel still under renovation - it is clean, affordable, well-located and still a worthy visit, particularly for couples looking for staycations across the Causeway.

Great location, good value for the money”

I have been coming to Johor Bahru for over 20 years. Consequently, I have witnessed numerous changes, including the development of mid-range hotels, such as Trove Hotel in JB. In short, this hotel nicely offers the standard amenities (including pool, breakfast, lounges, room service) and large, clean rooms at an affordable price. While we did experience an unfortunate problem with the lift (some kind of fire alarm) on a Saturday evening, we otherwise had a generally uneventful and pleasant experience at this hotel. We would definitely return.

Great location with very new facilities”

I actually booked this hotel for my parents and siblings who traveled to Johor Bahru. They were very impressed with the water dispenser provided in the hotel room. Besides, the staff allocated us connecting room which was ideal for us so that we do not have to leave the one room to go to another. There are some nice restaurants in and around the hotel, but the price would be on higher range. Overall, it is worth the money for a 4-star hotel!

Clean,new,best service,satisfying”

I booked executive deluxe room for chineese new year's eve.but when i arrived,the room hadn't ready yet.but unexpectedly,the front officer told us that they gave us two rooms for exchanged,and it was connecting room.we were satisfied of their service.and we also got 4 welcoming mandarin oranges.we would love to be back and stay in Trove johor baru again.

Perfect mini getaway for couples!”

Absolutely love Trove hotel, room was larger as compared to the photos, very modern and classy design! Toothbrush and all basic toiletries provided, hot and powerful shower! Downside of the room, bed was a little hard to sleep on, mini bar didn’t have a freezer section (would be good if it does because we bought ice cream and it melted). However the Netflix made up for it!! Huge TV with on demand movies that is perfect for a cuddle night in. Hotel gym is sufficient for a quick workout, various cardio machines, free weights up to 10kg & a huge multi functional machine. Pool is just outside from the gym, pretty small with only a couple of benches (probably better if there’s more to sun tan on), but very clean. Hotel claim that check in is only from 3pm although stated 2-3pm here. Also we have to pay RM10 for tourist tax not included in agoda booking. The manager was nice to let us check in at 130pm as there was room available and to late check out at 1pm. Overall staff are pretty new and don’t understand a lot of English (we requested a box of tissues & they gave us toilet rolls + tissues / we requested extra soap & they gave us soap, shampoo, bar soap LOL). But overall love the hotel! 8-10 mins grab to KSL/city square mall, a short walk out to a mall as well as a row of 24/7 eateries. Would def be back for the price and the standard of the hotel 👍🏻

Value for money”

Have stayed here before. Room was good, spacious and nice rain shower. Convenience store and few eating places in the same hotel building. There is one famous nasi lemak stall and a car wash opposite the hotel which is good for domestic travellers. Hotel just sit besides main road to north and south of Johor Bahru. Breakfast was acceptable but could be improve further. The bell boys very helpful and always assist guest with wheel chair. Kudos to them!

Awesome stay at TROVE! We enjoyed the chic, modern design of the spacious room, the friendly staffs, the all-round facilities (spa, gym, swimming pool, numerous banquet and conference rooms) and the wide selection of breakfast. I love how they have a full array of Malay delicacies, Indian, Western, Chinese, salad bar, pastry, and great dessert corner. The location could not get any better too; smack in the middle of city center, it is close to KSL Mall, numerous spa facilities, and food centers (which is pretty much everything).

Value for money ”

Easy located using waze if you are not familiar with Johor Bahri City. Multi storey car park available. Check-in was smooth and they provide electronic key card. A standard room size is big and all rooms equipped with filtered water dispenser both hot and room temperature. Can improved on the quality of hotel towels as could see trace of marks on the towels. Overall a good hotel as ots close to eateries and 24 hours convenient store. Will stay again

Great Hotel”

Excellent location. Easy to go to all direction of Johor Bahru. Plenty eateries neraby. Nice and confortable room. Good customer service. Many guests at the hotel, so some service request may take longer time to fulfill. One of the best hotel in its price range.

Pretty awesome! ”

With the smart TV that allows us to connect to the Internet, my bf and I stayed in the hotel throughout the moment we check in and only came out when we had to check out, we only stayed for a night though. Cons: WiFi speed was super slow. We took 4 hrs to finish a movie that was supposed to end in 2hrs. Erm, pls do something about your Internet especially when a smart TV is provided. Pillows provided were really too soft, I had a hard time trying to sleep. The floor is quite dirty, but not a big deal for us since they provided bedroom slippers. The in room dining is alright, but if you're feeling lazy to head out, there's a Thai restaurant downstairs which you may want to try out. Pros: the room is huge. Love the bed, we got a king deluxe room, and the bed is hugeee. Especially love the water dispenser. Staying at a high floor, the scenery was prettyyyy. The hotel is new! I will definitely consider staying at trove again if I'm near to the vicinity. It provides the quietness I need since it's a slight distance away from ksl but still a quick grab ride there. :)

A Pleasant Stay in a relatively new hotel”

This was my second stay at Trove. I as attracted to it the first time round one year ago because of its location , price and most importantly its new. I must say that the upon entering the room for the first time , the interior brightens up my mood due to blue colours of the wall and bedding . The toilet comes equipped with a rain shower which allows you to take a nice hot shower while peering out the glass walls of the toilet to enjoy your Tv show while showering....now isn't that cool!! But of course , you can lower the blinds at the touch of a remote button if you prefer discretion. I also love the fact that my Deluxe room comes with a water filtration system that allows you to enjoy hot and cold water instantly. Thats a rarity and I never come across this in 3-4 star hotels because Kettles is usually provided instead for you to boil your own water. The only downside I have to say is the the mattresses is a bit too hard for my liking and It took a little while to sleep .

Excellent service and rooms”

It is my second time staying at trove and it just gets better, the rooms are beautiful and clean, it was my friends first time to trove and she was impressed! The buffet was even better then the first time I came, and the staff at the restaurant were really warm and welcoming to guest I truly appreciate such service will come back again to trove anytime!

Modern and new, value for money”

Booked three rooms here on the 21st floor while on travel with family. Pros: Comfortable and spacious rooms. The rooms and hotel were nicely decorated. Parking was convenient, well connected and brightly lit. Breakfast spread was good, fresh and well portioned. Loved the Johor Nasi Lemak and chicken Rendang. Small cons: Check-in was slow. Rooms cards had problem and deactivated after midnight only detect upon reaching the room and have to go all the way down to reactivate. Overall good value for money and would stay again.

Great room with city view! ”

Enjoyed my short 1-night stay here. Got a room on the higher floors with a great city view! Extremely clean apart from some stains on the bathing robes but not much of an issue because didn't use them. Filtered water cooler was provided in-room, which is great because I personally dislike using heating kettles (who knows how clean these really are right?!) The TV allows you to stream YouTube videos and Netflix (have to log in using own account), great entertainment alternative if you prefer something apart from local channels. The swimming pool and gym facilities were down for renovation, not sure when they will be reopening. Also, the staff were really friendly, the front desk warmly lent us an umbrella because it was drizzling. A little bumped they didn't read our requests prior to our checkin and latest checkout was 1pm. Overall it's a great place if you are staying over in JB! I will be returning to Trove again for countdown soon! Really love it and truly recommended for all!

Everything was good except....”

I've stayed at trove a number of times. And it had always been a good stay. But this weekend's experience was strange. It started off with... the front desk not being able to find my booking. I had to wait about 20 mins for them to locate my booking. The room was clean. BUT. There weren't any toiletries. Just hand soap and shower gel. No dental kit, no shampoo/conditioner, no hand towels, no bedroom slippers. When asked one of the housekeeping staff lingering at the doorway, I was informed that they stopped putting everything for 2 weeks now. However, during a conversation with the front desk staff later, he seemed clueless about it. I hope this changes the next time I stay at Trove.

Hidden gem + value for money!”

It was a 7min drive away from City Square Mall, which we didn mind as it is relatively quiet on the surroundings. We were given a high floor which was absolutely gorgeous! The room was spacious and clean. What came in a little surprise was that there was even a water dispenser and smart tv in the room. Breakfast the next morning came in a good variety of mains and bread/pastries selections, there was also artisan coffee brewed by a barista. Overall a comfortable and great stay at Trove! :)

BEST HOTEL IN JOHOR BAHRU”

Best hotel for business trip. Stayed here for 3 nights from 31 March to 3rd April 2019. Amazing staff (kudos to Wulan and Mardiana), clean room and bathroom, with water dispenser for cold and hot water, good wifi and have youtube and Netflix too for the room. The Lada & Clove breakfast spread is amazing, wonderful food. The chef himself entertained us, wow....good job Chef!! The massage spa was wonderful too. They also have convenience store and a Thai restaurant at the ground floor. Also near to Bahafee café (just 5 minutes walk from Trove) and for safety, the Police Headquarters (IPK) is just opposite the hotel. Definitely going to come back here, next time with my family.
