"Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort", you are a "BEAUTY".”
If you are in Krabi, it has to be "Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort", This is one of the most beautiful resort I have came across till date. Be it, location (which can't be better than this), hospitality (cleanliness or the staff, who are very polite and always ready to help with their smile and greetings: men say Sawatdee-krap and women say Sawatdee-kah. The Breakfast has a lot of options (specially for meat/chicken eaters) and nothing better than having a it at their elevated deck from where you can have an amazing Ocean View (Go early and spend some beautiful moments, I bet you will thank me for this). Lovely people staying here must try some of the in-house water activities Canoeing, Snorkelling etc. They also have live music on special days as we witnessed one on Valentines day last year which was JUST AMAZING. Thank you, "Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort", you guys are just amazing. Hope to visit you again some day with my kids (yet to have one). - Arun & Varsha (Feb'2019)

Beautiful resort with peaceful & lovely beach”
The resort is on Tub Kaek beach which is the very peaceful and lovely beach in Krabi. It is also near Koh Hong islands taking around 20 minutes from resort to Koh Hong by the long tail boat. You can contact with the hotel front for booking private one-day Koh Hong islands trip and any other islands tour in Krabi with standard and reasonable price. (They also provide us the room for bathing and changing the clothes after coming back from islands trip. Very great service.) We stayed in Deluxe Beachfront room and it is very great and memorable. We can see the sea and Tub Kaek beautiful beach in front of us from our private balcony. It is so cool that the beach and sea just next to your room. It is the very peaceful beach so you can relax and recharge yourself fully. The room is very good and clean with convenience. Breakfast buffet is great. Their service is perfect and professional. Great and helpful staff. Our experience of staying in this resort is great and memorable.

Incredible gem ”
We were deciding between Dusit Thani and Tup Kaek - the former we stayed before and loved it. But the price was more than double. Knowing how we like simple pleasures and don't need to be over pampered, we decided to take a calculated gamble with the Tup Kaek. And wow. What an amazing find. It's just the perfect resort - namely because of the stunning room we had with direct pool access. This is what made it for us. Even though the resort is famous for the sunset, I figured we can always walk the 30 seconds to the beach and watch it from there. But having 24hr pool access was priceless - whatever the weather. For the price, I cannot fault this place. Even if I paid more, I'd be happy to do so. It's worth noting that the food and restaurant service was outstanding. A small detail - they had granary bread for toast in the morning which, as a westerner, is a lovely touch considering how the average bread quality in Asia is quite bad. Without doubt we are returning.

Best in Klong Thom Area”
The location is the best in Klong Thom Area. We got a car, so we drove and took a look at every single hotels around the Klong Thom area. We could say that Tub Kaek is the best location. So we recommend you find your hotel at Tub Kaek Area. Comparing the price with other hotels in the same location, Tub Kaek Sunset is much cheaper, you could get beach front bungalow at the price of deluxe room in other hotels near by. The room is beautiful and very cheap comparing with others. The swimming pool is long and beautiful. We stayed 2 nights here, the first night we paid for beach front bungalow, but the second night we move to deluxe room because the beach is so stunning and we could not waste our time in the room. Please check carefully before you book your hotel because even some five or six stars hotels have a road in between hotels and beaches, also the beach is less beautiful. However, this is not a five star hotel, breakfast is so so but concerning the price you pay, it is acceptable.

Perfect location for holidays escape ”
We've never been to Tup Kaek Beach before so a bit worry about location and facility. Once we arrived, the welcoming receptionist and the atmosphere could release all the stress we have earlier. We've got upgraded to the seaview room which is very lovely. The garden, terrace and all layout in the resort is nice enough for the 3 rows of rooms to see the serenity view of Tup Kaek Beach. We've plan to go out for other activities but end up staying in the resort for the whole duration of stay. The food is good and the staff is very polite. Beach is not crowded, the sunset very privacy. Will definitely come back!

Very peaceful and relaxing”
We stayed for 5 nights starting on Christmas Day and we were very satisfied (and relaxed) when we left. It started well when we were upgraded to a beachfront cottage. We selected Tup Kaek specifically so we would be away from the busy areas of Krabi. If you want nightlife and markets don’t come here. However, if you want to sit in a hammock, read, watch the sunset in relative peace and quiet, this is the right place. The cottage was nice, equivalent to a normal sized hotel room but with a front porch with a bench. The free wifi worked well wherever we tried it (room, beach, restaurant). The staff almost to a person were very helpful. Yes, some staff have only rudimentary English but it is not a 5 star resort and you aren’t paying anything near what the other resorts on the beach charge. It is true that the restaurant appeared disorganised and food took a while to come. But you’re sitting with your toes in the sand, looking out at a peaceful setting, what’s the rush? Our food always was hot when it arrived. Our only complaint is that on most nights we were there they had a “thai banquet” and a western menu and don’t serve the yummy thai dishes that are available at lunch. We like authentic thai food and found the banquet to be very westernised, which might please some people. The seafood grill was also quite nice. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Lovely Resort”
I loved my stay at Tup Kaek. My room was upgraded for free and the beach bungalows are absolutely fabulous. The resort is on a somewhat secluded beach with only 2 or 3 other resorts about 45 minutes outside of Krabi. So it's quiet and fairly and very chill. Boat and car taxis can be arranged in the lobby. Rooms are good sized with private terraces and an outside shower. Beaches are clean and/or cleaned every day and the staff are very friendly. The resort is very family friendly and the ocean surf is light enough that kids can swim fairly easily. They do a broad spread for breakfast - included in the cost - and their Asian meals are awesome. My only complaint is that their Western fair is only mediocre. Absolutely awesome stay and I'd definitely book there again.

We fall in love with this place!!!”
Hotel and the area is super nice. Beach is beautiful. Sunsets are unforgettable. Super friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. We stayed there for six days initially but after that we extended our stay for another six day. We were there in "low season" and even then we were surprised how staff is taking care of the whole area, maintaining the garden as well as beach. We're definitely going to revisit Tup Kaek Sunset Resort in the future. Place is phenomenal!!!

Memorable location, good for toddlers”
Scenery, sunrises & sunsets are charming; staff are welcoming and helpful, especially with young children; beach great for toddlers & adults, pools well kept; day trip for elephant rides worthwhile for whole family; long tail boat to Ko Hong stunning, be sure to discuss the full itinerary with the staff beforehand, language barrier with boat skipper; included breakfast entirely sufficient; lunch and dinner selections fair for 1-2 convenient meals; easy to walk along beach to other restaurants...Tup Kaek Seafood is great with choosing whole fish and prawn dishes, the crab dishes only so-so; Italian to the north is marvelous, especially pizzas...overall, a pleasant three-star hotel, giving more than a three-star experience...will seriously consider returning!

Scenic beauty with Quality Service ”
Situated at the shore of Tup Kaek Beach, the hotel provides an awesome ambience where one can feel the warmth of nature and can spends a quality leisure time. The hotel is situated far away from the other crowded place in Krabi like AoNang and is must for someone who wants to relax and enjoy in the arms and surroundings of natural beauty. The hotel also provides quality room services. However, there is no nearby markets close to the hotel and one may be required to arrange for private vehicles to visit the local markets.

A wonderful break on a beautiful beach”
This is our second stay at Tup Kaek, and additional cabins have been built. Still, the resort never seemed crowded. The food is the best along this stretch of beautiful beach. Across the inlet is the madness of Phuket. Tup Kaek is quiet, tropical and laid back and an hour by taxi from anywhere. We spent one evening in Krabi for the night market, but prefer Ao Nang, which we visited last time. Most of the guests are from northern Europe with a few locals (manly from South East Asian) in the mix.

Peaceful location on a gorgeous beach”
my husband and i brought my parents here during their visit to se asia and stayed for 5 nights. we had previously stayed at tup kaek beach at a different hotel, but since we were coming during high season this time, tup kaek sunset was more within our price range. the hotels on this beach are very secluded, about half an hour from ao nang, but if you are looking for a place to stay put and relax, it's perfect. we were in the pool one day when a couple came by and asked if we liked the place. they said the hotel they were staying in was too crowded, so they were looking for a quieter place. this was definitely the place for them. in my opinion, tup kaek has one of the best views because of the islands/rock formations that are visible from the beach. we took a day trip to hong island (beautiful!) and also railey (crowded), so we felt that there were definitely opportunities to see something different.

Peaceful Location”
I stayed here for 10 nights. Most of the staff were very friendly except for the restaurant staff. Although, I think they may just be exhausted - it seems they work breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts. Toward the end of my stay a few of the restaurant staff seemed more engaged. I had a room overlooking the newer pool and it was a wonderful view. You'll read reviews talking about a funky smell in the rooms, which is there - but it's something that seems pretty typical for the area. I brought essential oils and a little diffuser, so my room smelled like lavender and eucalyptus. The roof-less shower is awesome - and I loved the rain shower head. It was cool to see the rain come into the shower area, it felt very tropical. The room had a working safe, fridge, hairdryer, robes, bathtub, separate shower, comfortable bed, lots of pillows, balcony with seating area, drying rack for swimsuits. Two bottles of complimentary water come with the room. The beach was amazing. Quiet, cleaner than other beaches I visited, calm sea great for swimming. The hotel has kayak's for free use and other beach games like frisbees. It's the kind of place to catch up on sleep, reading, napping, dreaming. My routine was beach in the morning, pool in the afternoon, nap, back to the beach for sunset, relax in the hammock, dinner and bed. The negatives for me: it's a $15 taxi to Aonang one way. So, to get anywhere else other than the resort it's easily $30 bucks round trip. I stocked up on some snacks at the Mother Marche in Aonang as there is no market near Tup Kaek. Also, the tour prices that the hotel sells are double what you'd pay if you use a tour operator service, there is one through Tup Kaek Seafood restaurant on the beach near the hotel. Just do NOT use Barracuda Tours for any excursions. They are a dishonest company. I only at dinner once at the restaurant - partly due to the less than friendly server I encountered on my first night, partly because the food wasn't all that memora

Beautiful view from beach front bungalow, but far from restaurants and ATMs”
If you choose a beach front bungalow at Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort you will get a nice and quiet place close to a beautiful sand beach (we travelled there August 2018). Beware that restaurants in the area (mainly restaurants at other resorts and Tup Kaek Seafood) are the only options nearby. Expect to pay 20-50% more depending on what you order (compared to Ao Nang and Klong Muang). We only saw some parts of the nearest town, Klong Muang and it costs 200-300 baht one-way (we did not try to hagle). The restaurants we tried where very nice (we used TripAdviser) and there arr several massages places. If you want to shop for clothes, bags, shoe's etc. you should go somewhere else (i.e. Ao Nang)

Beautiful, quiet resort - a nice place to relax”
The stay at Tup Kaek Sunset Hotel was perfect for us who as couple wanted a recreational vacation at a beautiful spot without too many disturbances. We enjoyed the beach and the water, the sunset, the garden - which is a little like a botanical garden - and the restaurant, also the part situated at the beach. We had a cottage with sea view and enjoyed it. The relative isolation might be boring for some, especially if you have teenagers with you. But for us it was perfect.

The closest beachfront accommodation you can find”
I was traveling alone and wanted a real beachfront cottage type of accommodation and found this hotel after some research. True enough the beachfront deluxe room I booked was literally at the beach and I only had to step out from the balcony to soft sands. The reception staff was really helpful when they let me check in earlier and check out late as my flight was late in the afternoon. The room was really spacious, clean although there was a musty smell which I overcame with spraying the room freshener which I always bring when I travel. The semi-open shower was fantastic. I could actually see the sunset while taking a shower! There's not much of facilities here, which was fine by me as I had the intention to just chill and do nothing. The restaurant serves basic breakfast and reasonable fare. I would definitely come back again to Tub Kaek Sunset Beach Resort the next time I'm heading to Krabi.

Sandy beach, killer views”
This was my second stay at the Tup Kaek Sunset, and the lack of adequate staffing from last year seems to have been remedied. We received an upgrade to an ocean view bungalow, which was lovely. The food is fine but not special, and after a few days you might want something different. This is the most modest resort on Tup Kaek beach, and more upscale food can be found at the neighboring resorts. The best thing about the place is the setting - the combination of beach, grass, trees and flowers allows one to forget the city and fall asleep to the sound of tree frogs.

Paradise, what else”
Wonderful view, delicious food, kind people, far away from the crowd....just perfect for who are looking for a quiet and relaxing place with great view. Pool's Rooms are very nice and well équiped. Tup Kaek is 20' far away from ao nang and 50' from krabi.

Idyllic stay in Low season ”
We stayed a night at Sunset beach resort and was pleasantly surprised at the beach front rooms. Rooms are uniquely designed, with a bathroom to admire. The rain shower area was alfresco, with a little window to enjoy the lapping waves while showering. There was also a nice big tub thats great for couples. Best thing about the room was that sliding doors open up right onto the beach, sitting on comfy deck chairs with unparalleled views of the isolated beach right up front. You can even hire a longtail boat to take you to Hong Island, and they dock right outside on the beach in front of your room. Best stay I had in Krabi. Staff was helpful and very pleasant, with great food at the in house restaurant.

PARADISE FOR RELAXATION SEEKERS”
Our stay in this resort was everything we could have wished for. Last year we stayed at this beach in a different hotel which was excellent also, but this year we preferred to stay in a Beach Front Villa in the Sunset Beach Resort. We stayed there for seventeen days and loved every minute of it. This location is not for everyone... no shops, no entertainment, no noise. Perfect for us! A ten minute taxi drive takes you to a small shopping area with some restaurants or for the more adventurous a twenty minute drive to Ao Nang for all the excitement you would expect from a tourist town. On the bay, there is a choice of three other hotels with five restaurants in total all with a variety of excellent food to choose from which can be reached by a walk along the beach, or by road. We alternated eating between our resort and the other hotels. We had no complaints regarding the Sunset Beach Resort and found the all the staff very helpful and had a such a happy holiday there. We miss it!!!!
