great atmosphere and food”

The Umaid Bhawan Hotel Jaipur was a well-located hotel with a limited number of comfortable and remarkably designed rooms. We stayed in a Royal Deluxe room over the period 1/11/2012 - 1/13/2012 and at a cost of AUD$95.46 (not incl taxes) it was extraordinarily good value. We asked for and were allocated a non-smoking room. The staff were friendly and professional and, most importantly for India, the hotel was spotlessly clean and quiet. Breakfast, included in the price, was sufficient and nicely presented. As a boutique hotel, the Umaid Bhawan Hotel Jaipur is not packed with features but it is packed with style and is uniquely quirky.

After having searched for good traditional looking hotels, in Jaipur, my eyes stopped at the Umaid Bhawan-A Heritage Style Boutique Hotel. Further, surfing through their website enabled me to seal my deal at Umaid Bhawan. The beautifully designed haveli, the intricately carved out paintings in the rooms, the royal looking beds, the polite hotel staff, the roof top restaurant and the delicious food served with love, are all now a part of happy memories, of my short getaway to Jaipur. I'm sure to recommend this beautiful hotel to you readers, for this serves the common people like us, who cannot afford, at the moment, the Umaid Bhawan of Jodhpur. Thanks Umaid Bhawan, Jaipur for hosting us with your comfortable royale hospitality.

Fabulous”

We were two families and stayed for 3 nights at Umaid Bhawan. We were allotted room 403 and 404 respectively. Our rooms made our trip absolutely memorable. The rooms were on the fourth floor. The rooms had nice balcony and sitting area out in open. This open area sitting arrangement accentuated the enjoyment. The morning tea and Evening drinks just outside the rooms were unforgettable. Rooms decor was beautiful, space was ambient with all the amenities. The hotel is decorated in Heritage Style which is a feast for the eyes. The Open dining arrangement on the Third floor is worth appreciating. The Food was good though a little on the expensive side. The staff was prompt and helpful. I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jaipur.

Outstanding Hotel ”

Umaid Review We recently stayed at the Umaid Bhawan for 4 nights. It was a complete oasis of calm in bustling Jaipur. The decoration was unique and fascinating to see, we loved it. Our room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. House keeping were ever so helpful. The food was just delicious, we ate on the rooftop each night and every meal was tasty and served well. Restaurant staff were very friendly (without being a nuisance), they carried out their duties professionally and were very helpful explaining dishes. All hotel staff during our stay were very charming. Used the pool a few days until it got a bit cloudy. We will be recommending this accommodation to our family and friends as well as returning if ever in Jaipur.

Great value...no major grievances...”

i spent 3 nights at the umaid bhawan. while the hotel is not an authentic heritage property, they've done a wonderful job decorating and furnishing the property to give it the feel of a palace. my room was spacious and comfortable for the most part, except for the bed. the mattress was very thin and pillows resembled the ones you find on airplanes. a space heater was included in the room which was a major bonus given the weather in january. wifi worked perfectly fine. the bathroom was clean and included toiletries. my room was located on the 4th floor and it tended to get noisy up there with the folk singer wailing away. the hotel staff was generally aloof and not very cordial. the hotel's tucked away in the residential bani park area and rickshaw drivers had a very difficult time finding it. overall, for the money, the hotel is passable but if i decided to return to jaipur, i'd probably shell out a few more bucks and stay somewhere nicer.

beautiful hotel with good service”

we can only say good things about Umaid Bhawan Hotel in Jaipur: our request for a hotel transfer through email was answered promptly by the manager. our train to jaipur was delayed and when we arrived in the city at such a late hour, the driver (with the vehicle for the transfer) was waiting for us outside the train station, holding a piece of paper with my name written on it. it was such a relief to see someone waiting for us in that foreign place, at that time of the night. we really appreciated it. upon arrival at the hotel, we were upgraded to the Royal Deluxe Suite, which is truly marvelous. we did not expect the suite to be that spacious, grand and beautiful. the city tour that went with the package was also great. the driver, unlike others who insisted on taking us to places that he can earn commissions from, was very cool and engaging. he just did his job in a very pleasant way and made the tour enjoyable for us.

Best boutique style hotel in Jaipur ”

Excellent hotel for foreigners to stay in Jaipur. Gives a true Indian feel and service is exemplary. Rooms are beautifully decorated and large. Rooftop restaurant is amazing with expansive food choices. Breakfast is fabulous with many choices...a coffee machine which makes lattes etc would be the only added recommendation.. overall this hotel is amazing and will definitely be back when next in Jaipur. Beds are so comfortable also. No issues with unmarried couples either which some properties do have issues with so that was one less hassle for us here. Well done Umaid Bhawan.....love your hotel!

Great Heritage Hotel Experience”

Our stay at Umaid Bhawan was great. It is a truly unique experience to stay in a hotel that makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to another India. It is a must for travelers who want a different experience in a small boutique style. The entertainment at dinner was excellent, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy Jaipur in a more authentic manner.

A wonderful hotel”

As a couple we were looking for a nice hotel in a decent location, not too far from the Pink City but a little back off the road for some respite from the honking. Umaid Bhawan met these requirements and more. It was tastefully decorated in traditional style and the suite was spacious and comfortable. Our balcony overlooked the back of the next building, which wasn't exactly a 'view' but with all of the other courtyard areas we didn't spend any time there anyway. The service was really good. There was live traditional music and dancing each evening we were there. The buffet breakfast catered to all tastes and was pretty standard fare. The menu was varied, although a little expensive. The only things for consideration we would suggest are that it wasn't a hotel to meet people at (we've backpacked a lot and this is not backpacker territory), and it seemed like the pool was being cleaned most of the time so it wasn't in use. It also has quite a small poolside area with a shallow pool (4.5ft). Our only area for improvement is the whiteness of the sheets. I'm sure they were very clean, but they were greying which just doesn't give that impression. On the whole we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

Beautiful”

The Hotel is an architectural delight. It looks small from the outside. But, inside, you will find a sprawling area with eye popping architecture and furniture. I would definitely, definitely book my next stay in Jaipur and all consecutive stays at this property. Thank you, Umaid Bhawan for a memorable first trip post my wedding. P.S. One negative thing. I was getting late on my way to Jaipur and hence I called the hotel reception multiple times to inform them the same. But to no avail. Hopefully, it was a bad day for the reception.

Lovely heritage hotel - very "Rajasthani"! Wow!”

my siblings seldom stay in budget hotels when travelling overseas especially in cities and countries notorious for cleanliness and hygiene, but the umaid bhawan hotel jaipur is different! the actual rooms and the whole hotel layout did not disappoint as they look exactly as in the internet pictures. the details were lovely - the hand-paints on the walls and ceiling, the glass chandeliers and wall lamps, the stencil artworks, the ample-space veranda, the draperies and curtains, the in-room portable heater! we even got a complimentary upgrade!

The Umaid Bahwan Hotel takes you back in time. The opulent decor coupled with with abundant old photos on the walls give a glimpse of what it would be like to have lived there. On entering the hotel a porter catches my bag as I walk past a sheltered swimming pool looking cool and inviting. The foyer has a telephone room, computers and immediate wifi connection to the internet. Past this is a nostalgic reception area, leading to a lawn court yard. The room I occupy has beautiful entwined leaves painted around the ceiling, a fresh cotton cover on the wide wooden bed and leads on to a sheltered balcony. There is a safe, a fridge and the bathroom has all needed for a relaxing stay. A surprise was morning yoga classes, which I followed with a buffet breakfast overlooking the Jaipur morning from the exotic roof top restaurant. My stay was enhanced by the caring and friendly service and my lasting memories of the Umaid Bahwan Hotel contain a smile as big as India.

A Little Gem”

As we approached the area where Umaid Bhawan was, I could not really tell what kind of a place we had rented. But as we pulled up in front, and were greeted and ushered in we felt immediately at ease. The interior and exterior décor is very interesting and varied. Our room had a small deck and sitting/reading area, and the room was spacious and well appointed. The restaurant and food were very good. I would recommend the Umaid Bhawan to anyone, of any age or means.

Umaid Bhawan Hotel very beautiful that I ever stayed. This is heritage hotel and decorate very good and beautiful, and provide every things in the room. I have dinner here also, the price of food is resonable, and good taste. There have the Indian dance show also, very good. We all really love to stay here.

A fairytale palace”

From friendly staff to rooms that make you feel like one of the Moghuls, the stay at the Umaid Bhawan was one of the top experiences during my Indian trip. The hotel is a maze of hotel rooms, balconies, open-air lounges and other common areas, exquisitely decorated and well kept, as it should be, being a Heritage Hotel. It is not really a luxury hotel, and there are minor details to put a finger to (my shower lacked a curtain, for example, so showering was a little on the splashy side; and the room could have been a bit warmer in a rather could December), but the overall experience was great. The rooftop restaurant is more than good, and quite inexpensive, and breakfast was very good.

Excellent Property”

Umaid Bhawan is a beautiful heritage property. We had a very comfortable stay there from 13h Oct to 15th Oct 2020. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. They are very particular about cleanliness and hygiene. Even the food is awesome.

A great place to stay at in Jaipur”

A great place to stay in Jaipur. Although, I have stayed at several other hotels in Jaipur in the past, Umaid Bhawan is the one I'll go back to! The rooftop terrace is great to enjoy a drink and some delicious food!

Absolutely amazing! We loved this hotel ”

We had a fantastic time at the Umaid Bhawan. We didn't know what to expect and it was delightful to find out that it was such a lovely hotel - great food, lovely staff and the room was fabulous. Don't know why it's only a 3 star - it should be a 4 and we found it better than the 4 star hotel we stayed in in Delhi.

Beautiful hotel for very sick person”

I was really sick when I arrived at Umaid Bhawan thanks to some bad food in Agra (it took a week to recover). The hotel had a fantastic doctor to call, they were helpful and attentive and caring. Unfortunately I didn't get to see any of Jaipur so can't comment on the rest of it!

Charming hotel”

this was my second stay at the umaid bhawan hotel and i would happily stay here again. apart from being in a charming old building which is in excellent condition, the rooms are very comfortable, the wifi works and the pool is great, as is the rooftop bar and restaurant. particularly though, the service across the board is very helpful and all done with a smile.
