Hotel Granvia Osaka - JR Hotel Group
Umeda,Umeda - View on map
"The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's located right at JR Umeda Station and you can get to the hotel either by airport limousine bus (within walking distance) or JR rapid train. I stayed on the Granvia floor (27 floor) and the room is very nice and comfy. It has everything we need. In addition, there is a lounge on the 27th floor where you can have coffee, drinks, and snacks and computer and working facilities. We can check out right on that floor, very convenient!!! The staffs are also very friendly and helpful. There are many many shopping malls around where you can find everything. The mall next to the hotel is Daimaru where there is Tokyu hands, drug store, cafe. I would definitely come back to stay here next time I go to Osaka."

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Osaka-Kitahama
Umeda,Umeda - View on map
"1. The place is right above the Kitahama subway station. Take the exit 6 lift and walk about 20 meters to the hotel. 2. Hotel is central but you need to take trains to the main bustling part of town either at Umeda or Namba or to the train stations leading to Kobe/Kyoto or Nara. 3. Staff were friendly and were conversant in basic English. They were generally very helpful. 4. Room was typical of Japanese hotels but had everything we needed which was a warm shower, comfy bed and good air con. Had basic amenities such as a kettle, hair dryer, ironing board Would definitely stay again. Price was extremely reasonable. "

HOTEL UNIZO Osaka Yodoyabashi

"Next to the Yodoyabashi metro station, pretty convenient, though the surrounding area gets pretty quiet at night (mostly office) - not suitable for those who want to go shopping nearby like namba/umeda."

Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA
Umeda,Umeda - View on map
"The hotel is very new, only opened in late November 2019. Location wise, it is absolutely the best!!! It is connected to Osaka Station and from the overhead pedestrian walkway (easier to maneuver the huge station city) and the Osaka/Umeda Station, we could go to Lucua, Hankyu, Daimaru, Hanshin and Grand Front Osaka departmental stores! It is simply amazing. The hotel room is clean and nicely furnished. However, due to the layout, it is too cramped for four of us. I thought the room is 47m2 but we really found it hard to move around the room. There are 4 single beds in the room and only one table top right in front of the TV with a smaller lower adjacent table where the kettle and cups are placed. We couldn't find anywhere to place our three midsized luggages other than the small floor area between the wall and the beds. There is also no shelving or hooks in the bathroom, so we have to place them outside below the sink. It would be nice if the hotel could free up more space in room."

THE LIVELY OSAKA HONMACHI
Umeda,Umeda - View on map
"Very spacious, contemporary design, dim ambience, convenient, not on a busy street. But guests should ask for the address in Japanese because the hotel is still new so taxi drivers had a hard time finding it with english address or the hotel name."

Hotel Kansai
Umeda,Umeda - View on map
"Basic Accomodation. Nothing more than a place to rest and recharge after spending most of your time outside in Osaka. Close to Umeda nightlife. Yes the area is an adult nightlife area but in Japan this is not so unheard of. This neighborhood has some hostess clubs and love hotels and lots of neon signs suggesting this but none of it is in your face. The Umeda area is full of restaurants shopping and nightlife. Im not sure this is a good area for a family looking for a Disneyfied experience but when I am in Osaka I culd care a less about it. I spend all my time outside and enjoy the nightlife. I only come to my rooom to take a shower, charge batteries, and sleep. Hotel does have laundry facilities which are helpful. This is just a small room with a bed tv and shower. A good place to get some rest after all day exploring Osaka or a night of drinking and eating. Dont stay here if you are a princess stay here if you want to save money and just need to rest. It serves its purpose perfectly. "

More about Umeda

Umeda / Osaka / Amagasaki Station is one of the busiest districts in Osaka, because it operates a booming transport hub along with one of the city’s favorite shopping districts. It’s marked by Umeda Sky Building, twin towers that are linked at the top of the structure rather than at the bottom. This entire district boasts innovative connections like this, but most of them happen underground.

The luxury hotels around Umeda, Osaka and Amagasaki stations are some of the city’s top options. They’re located in gleaming high-rises that dominate the skyline, near exciting dining and shopping areas.

Shin Umeda City is a popular entertainment complex best known for its hanging garden, suspended 170 meters above the ground. This complex offers sweeping views over Osaka, and it draws camera-toting tourists from other provinces and abroad. Other entertainment venues in the area are Kids Plaza Osaka (a children’s museum) and Suntory Museum, with its stunning architecture and IMAX Theater.

The most attractive reason for visitors to book accommodation at Umeda / Osaka / Amagasaki Station is to be in the middle of one of Japan’s most innovative shopping scenes. The best shopping malls and arcades are hidden beneath the streets, but they’re linked to local hotels and dining areas.

Getting here is easy thanks to Osaka Station. Trains arriving from outside Osaka terminate here, and then passengers connect to the metro via Umeda Station. Both link to the network of underground shopping malls.
