When booking it was abit skeptical, the picture looks good as it was a old property worried it’s condition. The room conditions is well maintained & clean although was old. We were satisfied. It was value for money for water villa, all inclusive & with jacuzzi in the room. Only the transfer transport have to be seaplane which is costly but for its 1st time experience still acceptable. Glad that the all inclusive do not have hidden clause, can say drink till your liver can take it. Haha.. As for the b, l & d buffet spread, food was nice just not suitable for Asian as more are abit heavy & strong flavour but we find it acceptable. Their dessert have to improve, dun taste good. The highlight is the fish grill corner, is a must not missed😋 The staff working there are helpful, will advise well on the weather condition suitable to play water activity. In room service, their respond is immediate just need spare 5-10mins as they need time to walk over your room stay.

The best customer service one can get”
Veliganu has the best service staff! We stayed at the resort for 3 nights and every single staff we met was warm, welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay a more enjoyable one. As part of our all inclusive package, we went to another resort, Duramanthi resort which was nearby. The staff there were nowhere as friendly. We booked the jacuzzi sea view villa which had a beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings. The rooms are clean, service staff cleaned the rooms twice a day and left special touches to the room, we were so touched :) Though Veligandu is a small resort, the food was good and we enjoyed our stay relaxing by the pool, the beach, the bar and best of all, the sunset evening trip where we got to see dolphins :) I would strongly recommend Veligandu resort to anyone visiting Maldives. Would give 10 stars if we could!

Just the best customer service and a definite 5 ⭐️ We left the U.K. just before lockdown, we usually travel to Thailand this time of year and stay in some truly fantastic hotels , however Thailand was replaced by Maldives for 14 days of luxury. We arrived after a very long 24 hours of travel , arrived tired but excited, we were met promptly and taken to the hotel lounge to await our seaplane to hotel , from the moment we arrived in the lounge our exceptional service started !!! On arrival to the island we were given a lovely welcome and kindly upgraded to a jacuzzi villa . Our room was exceptionally clean and full of everything we needed for our stay . We really did enjoy 14 days of luxury and a big part of that ,was down to all the wonderful staff at this resort . Every single member down ,to the gardeners and housekeeping ,always smiling always saying hello , all the staff here seem genuinely happy in there work and life . Extraordinary”
From the moment we set our feet to island everything and everyone was super friendly, kind and warm. Staff was always smiling and greeting us whenever or wherever they see us. The rooms were spacious and super clean. Housekeeping cleans the rooms twice and refills mini-bar once per day by paying upmost attention to the privacy of the guests. Some of the previous review I read mentioned that furnitures at the hotel were a bit outdated. It is true but definitely nothing disturbing. Food in the main restaurant was so delicious. Maybe restaurant and open buffet are not as big or various as some other more expensive hotels in Maldives but they are definitely more than adequate with the price we gave to Veligandu. One special thanks to waiter Hassan. He was super warm and smiling during our every meal. The sea around the hotel was breathtaking. All in all, Veligandu was an amazing choice for us to spend our honeymoon.

Beautiful resort, friendly service, great value”
This was our second Crown and Champa resort. We like this Maldivian chain of hotels, as they retain some culture and have enormous respect for the environment and guests. This resort is relatively spacious and it never felt crowded, even though it was booked at 100%. The overwater villas are spectacular and felt very clean and safe. The selection and quality of food at the restaurants was top notch, and the reefs were fantastic for snorkling and diving (although the reef at sister resort Komandoo was more spectacular). This is a wonderful place for a getaway. Go for more than 10 days to feel like you've really decompressed and had a Maldivian experience.

Perfection from beginning to end!”
Booked a last minute stay at Veligandu Island Resort & Spa. From the moment we were welcomed off the seaplane by our personal host with a big smile and cold drink to the reluctant departure a week later, this was paradise! From the quality and range of food options available to the luxuriousness and cleanliness of our water villa, this was a 5-star experience all the way! If I was to nit-pick, I would say that the cocktails could have been a bit better made but apart from that, the resort offered everything that we expected and more. Particular acknowledgement of the super-friendly staff there - warm and personable with nothing too much trouble. No better way to spend a UK 'lockdown' - just wish it could have been for the whole 4 weeks!

I love all the thing in this resort. First is greeting at lounge before we take seaplane they have some drink. When we take seaplane a little bit raining then we arrived every staff waiting for take care us. They bring some big bag to my room. At front they have welcome drink taste good. Greeting introduction all facility in resort. They have many free program such as learning diving / lucky dolphin sunset cruise / kayaking but all program must to register (may be full). All meal is very good. All drink at bar very nice. And staff are very responsibility. Every night at bar have activity like every friday gonnna be maldivian night. Very excited to see maldivian person sing a song and dancing. We stay here for 3 day 2 nights. Time gone very fast. When we left they will take care us to take a bag to seaplane. Although the weather not good make seaplane delay. We can join at the bar and drink while waiting seaplane. Thank you for bring a wonderful experience to us. We love everything at here veligandu.

Удобное расположение: 15 минут на гидросамолёте из Мале. Приветливый персонал. Каждый день были свежие морепродукты и вариативность блюд. Живой домашний риф: расположен возле берега, большая разновидность рыб. Приплывали маленькие акулы, большой скат и черепаха. Также удалось увидеть осьминога в кораллах. Хотелось бы чтобы сделали косметический ремонт всех вилл. Convenient location: 15 minutes by seaplane from Male. Communicable and friendly staff. There was fresh seafood everyday. Also a variety of dishes was good. Alive home cay: is located near shore front, extensive diversity of fish. Sometimes small sharks, big stingray and a turtle passed by. Also we saw an octopus in corals. It is advisable that all villas are cosmetically repaired.

We've enjoyed our stay ar Veligandu and didn't regret going here for single second. The resort is compact, but not crowded. It has excellent beaches, great house reef with lots of fish. Room (beach bungalow) was perfect - clean, with good furniture, amazing shower (with fresh air). The fod was different, but always delicious. The staff was wery friendly and helpful. 100% recommend to come here.

I booked this at short notice for my wife’s big birthday. Ok it wasn’t a cheap holiday but if your going to do the Maldives, a bucket list holiday, do it in style! The staff worked tirelessly every minute of our stay to personalise our experience - all very genuine and first class. Food was borderline 5* restaurant level with 10-15 main course and dessert options available 3 times a day rotating every day. Scenery was idyllic a real paradise experience. Especially the water jacuzzi rooms with lounger decking looking straight out onto the Indian Ocean coral reef with steps straight from the room or jacuzzi. Sunset and sunrise was an experience all on its own! Wow! Can not recommend this place highly enough! Just Go!

This is the first time we came to Maldives and we choose Veligandu as our accommodation because of all the good reviews. The stay is very very good and ways above our expectation. The staff are very friendly and they do treat you like a family. We stay in Jacuzzi Water Villa and we really enjoy the room, the view and all the facilities is very nice. Due to our departure flight is in late evening, the manager of the resort make a special arrangement for us to stay as late as possible before transferring us back to Airport and i wasn't expected this at all. Food are very delicious and this one of our important focus when we choosing the resort. Overall is very great and we hope we could come back again.

Veligandu for the second time around is just a surprise that keeps on giving. For returnees like us, we kept our expectations managed as it has been close to 5 years but when we arrived, man oh man, the beauty of the island just took my breath away. The snorkeling was great, with a wide array of marine life and sharks! The staff were just friendly with a ready greeting for you. Get the all inclusive package when you go because it is just value for money. The jacuzzi water villa was just stocked with whatever you need. Returnees are regaled with little freebies we did not expect. Truly, Veligandu and the Maldives have spoiled other places for us. We look forward to coming back!

Jacuzzi water villa was amazing!”
My wife and I treated ourselves to nine nights at Veligandu for our honeymoon. The resort was the perfect place to unwind and relax. We spent our first night in one of the sunrise villas. It was lovely but the outlook was a bit windy so one of the helpful staff members, Hussein, kindly moved us to a sunset villa (room 152). The villa was exactly the same except it was protected from the wind so the water out front was much calmer. We absolutely loved our over-water villa. The water was so blue, warm and clear. It was so nice going to sleep to the sound of the water lapping. Reef sharks, rays and fish would swim by regularly. The large shower in the bathroom was great, as was watching the sunset from our jacuzzi. We felt very spoilt having our room cleaned (and bottled water refreshed) morning and night while we were dining. The food was exceptional, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the gym was adequate. The only criticism was the bed and pillows were too hard for our liking.

Amazing hotel with exceptional service”
Wonderful hotel, food is incredible, staff are extreme friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Special highlight to Nabeel whom has been excellent. There are many activities so you cannot get bored. The beach and surroundings are simply paradise. We are staying in the jacuzzi water villa which are really nice. We are still here and already plan to book again for later this year or next. Regarding Covid they take every precaution to ensure guests are safe and healthy including random temperature checks during stay however it does not at all impact your stay and you won’t even notice :-)

The price of all inclusive package is really reasonable. The food choice of buffet lunch and dinner will change every day. The drink menu in the bar has a large variety. I enjoyed the water sport and snorkeling in the island. The water quality is very good that you can see sharks and turtles when you snorkel. The all inclusive package also includes 1 sunset dolphin cruise and 1 island trip. The water and beach villa are fantastic. Staff are very nice and helpful. I enjoyed much and I would highly recommend this resort.

You can’t ask for a more perfect place to stay in the Maldives. The house reef is wonderful- we snorkelled with turtles, rays and sharks just outside our water bungalow. The staff are fantastic and have a perfect balance between checking in on you and giving you space. They think of all the little things to make your stay extra special! The food is fantastic and the executive chef really went out of his way to cater for my gluten intolerance, which was hugely appreciated! The island isn’t too big or too small and never feels crowded, so a perfect location. Can’t recommend enough!

First-time visit Maldives and everything was just as wonderful as we remembered it. Veligandu is a small island. We enjoyed snorkeling on the house reef, with a wide range of fish to be seen. and enjoyed sunset cruise for seeming dolphin. We stayed in a Jacuzzi water Villa on the sunrise side, The food is very good and varied. The staff all very friendly and are keen to help make you. I intended to take the pre-wedding presentation but the hotel did not allow the drone to fly. I'm really disappointed. We would highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit

Indeed, pure relaxation is something you find when on a remote island in the middle of ocean, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. I am sorry to know you could not fly drone on the island. This is to protect guests’ privacy. However we do have trip to uninhabited island nearby where you can fly drone and take stunning shoots. Nice resort on a private island, nice staff and try to provide the best service and arrangement to us such as early check in and late check out, you can enjoy all the facilities and free food and drink in bar and restaurant once you arrive the island and until u leave the island (although you have not check in/ already check out) if u choose all inclusive plan. nice staff service, good restaurant with many choices, many different kinds of drinks and food. free mini bar including wines. And very good service and environment. Will visit again.

Stunning location, stunning views, beautiful villas, excellent food (even being vegetarian) and great staff. Nothing really to fault this resort, the snorkelling is amazing around the reefs, the beaches are pure clean white sand, extremely photogenic and the short trips to see the Dolphins and Turtles are definitely worth taking the time to do. We stayed in a jacuzzi villa for 4 nights, amazing nights sleep with the wind coming off the sea and stunning sunrise and sunsets if you get the right villa. My only constructive feedback would be in regards to the AC noise. We did not use AC for the whole stay, the wind and ceiling fans are more than enough to keep you cool and of course much more environmentally friendly. However if the villa next to you is using their AC, the noise spoils the beautiful peace you get on your balcony/deck. In all honesty they should ban the use of morons using the AC, it is just not required and in a green resort its disappointing some people still use.
