Hipster Home Away from Home”

Booking Veriu Central is one of the best decisions I have made during my preparation for our recently concluded trip to Sydney. The room rate is very reasonable given their location. It is located at CBD and is few blocks away from the tourist spots and restaurants. We were able to access lots of places by walking because of the strategic location of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating especially Ms Joy, a Filipina staff, who even went out of her way and shared some must visit sites and useful tips which came in handy during our trip. They do regular cleaning of the room and beddings as well as refills of the toiletries. The hipster vibe of the lobby and the minimalist design of the rooms were added bonus! I highly recommend booking of this hotel to those who are planning to visit sydney.

Cosy Hotel ”

Love staying at Veriu. This is my first time stying at the Central hotel. It is very cosy. I stayed in the double bed configurations and it would be tight for two people. I usually stay at Broadway Veriu which I much prefer, however Central is much more convenient for the trains and lots shops around the area. The bed is quite high so would be hard for Elderly people or people with accessibility issues. I do love all of Veriu's features though and would definitely stay again.

Feels like home”

Absolutely worth it. Stayed with Veriu Central for a week with a friend and we enjoyed it a lot. The lobby and room decor were beautiful, posh, but had warmth at the same time. Friends staying elsewhere were baulking when they came through the doors to meet us. It was that pleasing! Facilities were clean and requests were met promptly. Thank you Chila (?) and her front office and night audit team for being so friendly and welcoming, and the housekeepers for taking good care of us!

The Staff at Veriu Central was fabulous, they go above and beyond and really friendly and always offering to do that little extra. Rooms are small but I expected that, very modern, quiet, clean and super comfy bed. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back.

Small room but a lot of other things made up for the tiny room”

Small room (even the moderne room) but beautiful deco and great service from the staff. Location is also close by to central station and most major attraction places in the Sydney CBD

Great hotel ”

Great hotel located near to Sydney CBD and amazing coffee shops and breakfast spots. The room size was fine if you're the type of person who doesn't spend too much time there. It was big enough for us and the bathroom was quite big too. The bed was so so comfy!

Great choice”

Beautifully decorated rooms and lobby. Hotel was about 5 mins walk from Museum station, making it convenient to get tothe hotel from the airport via the t8 line. Within walking distance to darling harbour, the CBD, the Sydney eye tower and cafes in the Surry hills area. Hotel was close to World square as well, so easy access to coles, restaurants and shopping.

Great for a weekend away”

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It's recent upgrade and refurbish have made even more attractive to stay. It's in a great location, close to all the major Sydney attractions and so easy to get to from the airport via train. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone intending on spending a short break in Sydney.

Exceptional”

Small but cosy place to stay when in Sydney, the staff were all polite, the room however is a bit small but nothing bothersome. My husband and I stayed for 5 days and we had a great time. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day. The location is near bus stop and train stations. Would love to stay here again when we go back to Sydney.

We really had a great stay at his hotel. The front desk and baristas we’re all friendly and helpful. Great location in Sydney because its only a few minutes walk to either Central station and Museum station. Loved the ambiance. The room is great with all the amenities you need (Nespresso included). Plus points for serving coffee and pastry in the morning.

When you enter Veriu the staff greet you in such a friendly manner it makes you feel extremely welcome! The rooms are small but adequate and the beds very comfortable. The location is handy for transport and it's easy to get to other parts of the city.

It would have been perfect if the rooms werent dusty”

Veriu has a really good location close to the Central and Museum train stations. It is close to a lot of restaurants, and pubs, and is basically walking distance to a lot of places you wish to see in CBD. The staff are super friendly and are always ready to assist. Our room is netflix ready and have a nespresso machine. We just had to request our pods be replenished on our second day though and too bad, they just replaced the pods with nespresso compatible pods unlike the first day. Anyhow, the downside is the cleanliness of the room. It is pretty dusty and looks like they could use a good vacuum cleaner. We found an empty water plastic bottle beside the cabinet which may have been left by previous guests. You cant go barefoot walking on the carpet because of the dust too and you are likely to sneeze a lot when you jump in (not literally) on the bed coz you'll see the dust clearer when shone by the bed side lamp.

Simple, functional luxury”

Everything you need to be comfortable while you see all of Sydney. The perfect home base to rest and relax in between outings and tours. Coffee happy hour is an invention I’d like to see go worldwide. The staff is amazing and will see to your every need with a courteous attitude and a smile.

Great hotel at Sydney CBD”

Absolutely loved their comfortable beds and great shower!! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was great as well - just walking distance to famous tourist spots. Will definitely stay here again when I’m in Sydney.

Overnight stay”

Perfect location with a mini bar at lobby. Thai restaurant across the road. Suitable for overnight stay given you only stay in for your sleep the room and bathroom are quite compact but that's totally normal in a metropolitan city like Sydney.

Modern Hotel in a Central Location”

Rooms are modern and clean, we had the king sized bed and the room and toilet was big enough for a young couple. Families may want to consider the bigger suites. Complimentary breakfast coffee and pastry was a nice touch, and staff were very helpful with our queries. Location is great: there are many good restaurants and cafes a 5-10 minutes walk away, CBD (shopping area) is a 15 minute walk, Hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from museum station, and about 30 minutes train ride fom the airport. Only small downside is the walk from the station is at an incline, which may not be as comfortable if you have huge luggage or luggages.

Excellent”

This hotel is in a great location, close to CBD train stations but also a short walk away from Oxford Street and Surry Hills. The coffee & pastry for breakfast in the lobby was a lovely wait to start the day. I would've loved a slightly larger room but for the price we paid it was great value - if you're after something bigger choose something above the lead-in room type.

Dedicated and Friendly Staff ”

I would definitely stay in this hotel again during my next visit to Sydney. The staff is very helpful and thoughtful! My kids really enjoy staying there as well.

Hotel with own style and touch!”

All is fine. Good staff, cleanliness (except balcony, but it's on the high street). Great location, near to Central railway (just under 5 min). Closest to central streets and parks. I set 2 stars for Staff, because: Extremely unprofessional advice from the receptionist. We request a shuttle service from the hotel to the airport for $ 16 per person. The receptionist advises us that for two people, it is more rational to travel by taxi for about the same amount ~ $ 32. We said ok, and wanted to order a taxi in the morning at 8.00. At 8.00 we got into the taxi, at the airport the driver asked us for $ 80 !!! He said it was the fee, so much was charged for the order and miles. It is about a trip of about 15 km, it will not take 20-25 min. A very bad image creates this if the receptionist is combined with this taxi or company. I am sorry but I will write it here to be considered by other hotel clients. It is a pity for this good hotel with its own style, to be compromised by one employee!

Comfortable for the room we stayed for six days”

Overall my experience staying in this hotel was freaking good. Will stay back in this hotel next time if we travelling to Sydney.
