Consistently Good”
Villa Bali has become our accommodation of choice in Rayong as it provides a quiet, dog-friendly getaway striking distance from Bangkok. Proximity to the beach and colocated with one of the best restaurants around. What has made the stay extra special though has been the above and beyond service and help from the staff and owners who went as far as to give us a ride across town, doggie included . Thank you so much for the wonderful stay John and Toy, we'll be back soon!

Back to nature with all mod cons”
Very warm welcome from the owner and staff and accommodation in native style bungalows in a garden setting with very pleasant swimming pool. Across the road from a very pleasant beach. Onsite Bali Pizzeria serving wood fired cooked large pizzas for £7 and Thai and western dishes. Excellent homemade Italian style ice cream.

Staff Very Friendly / Helpful ”
Staff were great they arranged free transport to and from destination when asked. Beach across the road though didn't visit that part. Seven elven within walking distance. Only negative breakfast was a bit bland, not much on offer guess to use to England :L

Amazing location and value for money. Take your dog!”
Villa Bali has been one of the best stays I've had in a long while. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway if you have a dog. Close to the beach, great accomodations and an excellent restaurant/bar on the premises. My only suggestion to the owners is to have better coffee available in the breakfasts.

A quiet oasis in a central location. ”
Beautiful, well-kept little bungalows around a pool. Interior of each bungalow is charming with 4-poster beds and an exquisite bathroom! With the road right next to the beach, all the hotels in this area have to be next to the road in order to be close to the beach, but this one manages to place the bungalows back from the road to keep them quiet. Decent breakfast and very good pizza and coffee.

An unexpected surprise!”
This villa located in a quiet spot in Mae Phim Beach turns out to be an unexpected surprise... a good surprise! For the price paid, this quiet and charming little resort nestled among the leafy surrounding is good value for money. Room is comfortable and well furnished with a spacious balcony outside overlooking the plants and trees for that quiet and peaceful moment with nature. Everything works well and the staff are mostly well-trained and friendly. Restaurant has wonderful pizza and thai foods so much so that we do not feel the need to venture out across the road to try the many food stalls on the beach. Some little minus points. Though the TV has many wonderful selections, the signal from the True TV box often disconnect and one often to pull out the cable and re-plug it in for re-connection. Toilet is very spacious but no pegs provided to hang your clothes. Also, wifi signal in room is quite erratic. But overall I am very happy with this villa and wished I have known about this gem of a resort before. I will return again as I feel very comfortable and safe here.

Food; location and friendliness
This was our second visit here, so I guess this speaks for itself. Food great - the kids loved the pizzas and the homemade ice creams. We were here for a triathlon, and the location was excellent and the beds comfortable. Small pool was utilised for both before and after the race. Will be coming back again.

Great and wet”
Very easy to find. We checked in early and left late with no hassle. Restaurant offered excellent choice and pizzas were great.
We went here to train for a Triathlon, and the straight flat roads with virtually no traffic were ideal. Rest of the day we relaxed around the pool, and ate in the restaurant at night. No noise in the evening, despite the proximity to the centre of Laem Mae Phim. Will definitely go again with our teenage children.

I liked the location and the lush setting of the bungalows. The verandah was a good size so it was like an extra room. The swimming pool was good for a 6 month old as not too busy. The pizza was delicious...

Relaxing for a few days”
The location is great- right across from the beach and it is dog friendly which is a definite bonus. The restaurant was pretty good and they even have live music nightly. The staff doesn't speak much English but they are friendly and helpful. It is a nice beach to escape Bangkok for a few days!

Good stop-over and PIZZA”
Stopped here on our way to Ko Chang. Arrived late - after the regular staff left at 5pm! Not a big deal, we were able to get into our room. We paid for an extra bed, and had to ask to get it added with help from the restaurant staff. Not a problem, but I wouldn't pay extra for it as it was as hard as a rock! Hotel is basic, duct tape on the toilet seat but the water was HOT and provided a great shower. The surroundings are beautiful with fruit trees and cards to let you know what they are. The pool is fine and the beach is across the street. The best part is of course the PIZZA - the restaurant is the reason why we first discovered the place. Great place for a stop over. Rooms are basic and comfortable enough. Will recommend it to others as a stop over.

Great trip for the dog”
My partner and I spent 2 nights at Vila Bali with our large dog (German Shepherd/Lab mix). It is right across from the beach, very peaceful, nice clean private bungalows and good food at the restaurant (Try the pizza!). Highly recommended.

We love Villa Bali!”
The Doty family is the best. The restaurant attached to the resort has some of the best food ever. The pizza is great and the Thai food is flavorful, but mild enough for those of us not accustomed to Thai levels of spice. The villas were placed artfully in a lovely garden with a pool. The resort is right across the street from the beach. Really, this place is wonderful. Would love to stay again.

A very basic and worn hotel”
This is A very basic and tired hotel in great need of upkeep. The pillow in my room had stains on it and it was hard to determine if my bedding had ever been changed since the last guest had stayed there. Reception is only open from 8 AM to 5 PM, so forget it if you have any problems or any questions. As it is, the front desk only speaks limited English, so it's a challenge, although I did find that they attempted to be helpful. The "spa" listed in the name is nonexistent. They have a person who does massage, but she had gone home by 5 o'clock and they did not know if she was going to return the next day. Coffee at breakfast is instant coffee only with powdered creamer. The breakfast otherwise, it was fine. The Internet at this facility is spotty at best. It was extremely frustrating to try to get a connection and it was down completely for several hours one evening. I was experiencing an emergency and because I wasn't able to reach Agoda on the Internet, I had to make a long distance phone call to London! And because there was an emergency at home, I wasn't able to make the necessary plane and hotel reservations that I needed to get me home. It was extremely frustrating! And of course I wasn't able to ask the front desk about any of this because, like I said, they're not available after 5 PM. When I did speak to them The next morning and asked if I could check out early without being charged, of course I was not able to. I had to pay the extra night even though I left before check out the next morning. I never was able to get the TV to work, it was very confusing, and as noted above, no one was at the front desk after 5 PM. There were no hangers in the closet but there was bottled water in the mini fridge. The location of the hotel is very good, but it was difficult to get to from Bangkok. I also found the step

Excellent Value at Villa Bali”
The private garden bungalows. The beautiful beach across the street. The excellent, family-run restaurant and staff.
Wonderful. We stayed a week and could easily have stayed longer. The staff were very helpful with side trips to a national park and boat trip to the islands nearby. We really enjoyed the private bungalows in the lush and quiet garden. The whole area is very family friendly with many local restaurants right on the mile long beach right in front of Villa Bali. Highly recommended for those who want to be far from the usual congested tourist places. Very sabai and relaxing. Can't wait to go again. Soon!

A very relaxed retreat”
its location in a fairly undiscovered part of Thailand, the friendliness of the owners and staff and wonderful tropical environment.
Last week we spent 6 nights at the Villa Bali Resort and Spa, with rustic Balinese-style cabins in a lush, tropical setting located across the road from the beach. It is located on a largely underdeveloped stretch of coastline less than three hours from Bangkok. There is a pretty pool with a shallow children's section, partly shaded by tall trees when you need to escape from the sun. The open-air restaurant serves Thai and western food and drinks from morning to night; their specialties include a range of wood-fired pizzas, baked goods and gelato/ice cream, all homemade on the premises, that attract diners from the area as well as holidaymakers. We joined their all-day boat trip for snorkelling, swimming and visiting the turtle sanctuary. This is a family owned and run resort with two generations fully committed to meeting the needs of the guests. We had an excellent Thai massage in the small spa and were the first customers to purchase items from the new gift-shop which was about to open.

Shower heater difficult to adjust, ether to hot or cold.Force to paid additional 350baht per day for my 7yrs old kid, even though I told the staff that i do not need extra bed or we do not need breakfast, because we used to wake up late. good location
Many mosquitoes(outside); the room smell very bad with the humidity; TV signal lost every around 30 mins; The water in the shower room is not warm; no internal telephone, so we need to walk to the reception to ask for assistance and you need to pay for extra charge( for example; we ask a waitress to send soft drink and ice bucket to our room and they charge us 20 Bath for the service fee which is ok but i prefer to tip them instead of knowing that it is a fee). We wake up in the morning for breakfast at the restaurant, and heard some staffs complain about customer in the kitchen, it's so loud till outside could hear. Our holiday's morning was ruin. Anyway, we would not return.

Staff, location, quietness
I forgot to review the hotel last time, and not much has changed. The staff are lovely, very attentive and fantastic with kids. A bit disorganised when they get busy in the evenings for food though, and it was the same last year as well. Food is decent. Swimming pool is small, but a good size for a post beach dip with our daughter. Rooms are a bit tired now, and musty smelling, but they are quiet and clean. We we will be going back again at Christmas which says it all really, even with the negatives, it is a decent place to stay.
