Perfect for Couples!”

My husband and I stayed here for about 2 weeks in April 2017. We chose this hotel because of the pool villas. It was so nice to have your own private pool with a beautiful view to get away from the busy cities and beaches. Before arriving I was worried the villas would not look like the pictures but everything was absolutely perfect and impressive. Another concern I had was the hill up to the hotel. I had read that some taxis won't take you to the top and you must walk. We called for the golf cart to come pick us up every time that was an issue and they came within a minute or two every time. Another concern I had was the shuttle to Kamala Beach. They had drop off and pick up at 11:00am, 4:00pm and I believe 8:00pm. Other wise it was 100 baht each way, which is only a couple U.S. dollars. No big deal. They also would take you around Kamala for the same price. The customer service was prompt and polite. If I ever come back to Phuket I will stay at Villa Tantawan.

Villa Tantawan is located at Kamala, away from Potong so if u prefer a location away from commercial beach area, this is the place to go. We stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect. Room was spacious, private pool was fantastic (except for my room had no sea view), jacuzzi was breathtaking, kitchen was useful for days we felt like cooking, sun deck was amazing. oh wow. We can't say more, it was just perfect. For those coming here, please make sure u could ride a bike. The hotel shuttle is only free to the nearby Kamala beach but if u want to go to Potong or other parts of Phuket, renting a bike is useful. Plus it is cheap too. Around 250baht for 24h.

The place that doesn't say no to anything. ”

The Villa is gorgeous and Kamala is quiet and nice. Most villas I have been in Phuket do not have clean private pools. This private pool is clean and clear. The room service is amazing, restaurant food is delicious as well. They have buggy services to the concierge and also to the bottom of the hill, whenever you need it. Punctuality is their forte. They also have shuttle services to the Kamala beach. If you need any pick ups from the beach, that's just 100B. We are a family of 4, this villa made our weekend stay amazing.

Loved my stay here ”

We booked one bedroom pool villa. We were not disappointed in anyway. We had privacy, good sized pool and partial view of ocean with mountains. The view from the bed was amazing. I loved the bathroom. I was impressed with the meticulous details. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet n taking morning walks here. I felt it was worth the money spent. Bottom line, I'm very happy with my stay here at tantawan

Had a great time here, from the lovely staff too the incredible rooms! Would be back without thinking twice about it. Absolutely loved our time with Villa Tantawan could not fault them on a thing!

Great Villa!”

I stayed in the 1 bedroom villa with my husband and 3 months old baby. Villa is well equipped with a kitchen and a microwave so I could sterilized baby bottles - thumbs up! For a 1 bedroom villa, the pool is huge! Great to do laps. Everything is great except for room service. Their kitchen was under renovation and we had to wait for our lunch for an hour. I think the Agoda should indicate that their kitchen is under renovation as I was looking forward to stay in and enjoy the villa and it will be much easier with room service especially with a baby. Another point, we ordered a Peperoni Pizza (took 30 mins) and to our surprise it was full of bell peppers and no pepperoni. It was cheesy which was yummy though especially when you are hungry. I will definitely come back here again if they improve on their room service.

Great Value”

For the price, cannot beat! The location was very close to Kamala Beach. We are a younger group, and loved Bangla Road.. setting up rides to get there wasn’t bad at all but it deemed to be a little pricy... minor inconvenience for the value of the villa which sat on a hillside with WONDERFUL views. The staff was friendly and accommodated us very well. We ordered room service and even got massages on the premises! Stay here to save money and have awesome accommodations!

Fabulous pool villa”

Villa seemed relatively new and clean but resort itself needs some improvement in its services such as more frequent free shuttle to Kamala or optional shuttle to Patong. Some of the reception staff spoke very limited English as well. Breakfast buffet was slightly disappointing, limited options but staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Spa/massage was slightly pricey but we enjoyed it -they can do only two people at a time. We stayed at a two-bedroom villa and it was beautiful and cozy, we spent a lot of time in our private pool. But villas are located at the hill top without any hotel sign, and some grab drivers refused to go up the hill so we had to wait for the resort staff to pick us up from the bottom of the hill. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we prabably won't go back.

Value for money and has good seaview but a bit worn out”

The resort was value for money, cheap but not very convenient to anywhere, abt 20 mins to patong beach. It Has good seaview from the villa but it was old And worn out, cleaniness is soso Bathroom was not clean with some stains in the tub and shower cubicle, it has got shampoo shower gel but no coditioner, housekeeping dont come until u give them a call and ask them to make up room, staff were friendly and always trying to help. I was not completely happy for being charged of a broken wAter glass in the room. We wont be charge even we broke a glass in restaurant , but in this resort they do.

Clean and nice facilities but falls short”

Overall the facilities are nice and the place itself is clean but the staff at check in could use some help in customer service. The resort is pretty far out from everything which means if you want food or drinks you have to purchase from their restaurant or dish out and get a pricy Grab. This wouldn't be an issue as I opted for this resort to stay in and not leave but their food was expensive, subpar and the drink specials advertised at check in are only valid if you leave your villa and personally go into the restaurant. They also advertise fresh fruit every day and I did not receive any fruit during my stay. They did however schedule a taxi to take me to the airport free of charge and checkout was very smooth and quick. I would stay again only if the price went down, seems to expensive of a place to be so far away from everything and with poor quality food from the restaurant.

Its a mixed bag of feeling really after staying as you'll only find out what you couldn't online. We were looking for a pool villa for our honeymoon and we thought it has a PRIVATE pool but in fact it doesn't. It does have a pool and it isn't private as every other villa can see your pool, and even from the hotel buggy running on the roads within the hotel site. Worse still, people, if they want to, can walk to your pool without passing through your villa entrance, so make sure you lock your villa front and back doors when you sleep. This is the most disappointing element in our stay. While the staff are great and they are trying their very best, but we feel that the hotel isn't supporting them to the same level. We had romantic dinners but the food wasn't as tasty than those sold on the street, and the choice of food is rather limited. Nonetheless, the staff did make their best effort in presentation. It would be better if the private pool is truly PRIVATE with 100% privacy.

Sick place”

amazing villa will definitely come back. Absolute paradise and extremely affordable right now. Staff are great and helpful too. Only issue is taxi can be expensive to and from this area.

It was a perfect and memrable stay here. The villa is fully equipped with kitchen. The rooms are nice and the private pool is the best.

Great retreat”

The 3 bedroom villa is huge. Everything is of decent size for 6, Can actually fit up to 8 people. This villa is situated atop a very steep hill. We called for transport everytime we want to get out. 10minutes away from Catch and about 20mins away from Patong beach. Would advise future visitors to store up on provisions.

Big Villas”

Went in off season, villas where clean and well equipped. Sadly cause of off season the restaurant was closed so cant review that so getting food was an issue. Pool was nice size but had lose tiles missing. Small issues.

Good”

Arrived early at the hotel. Check in was 2pm. Our luggages was left in the open area under the sun instead of storing on the lobby. Booked the 3 room villa , detail entered as per agoda. We are a group of 5 adult 3 children. Hotel insist we have to pay 1000baht per night as one is 12 years old. Villa is big, room is clean. Villa is located up slope hill so getting around is a challenge. The hotel has shuttle bus. Breakfast is very basic. Overall a pleasant 4 nights stay with the rest of the staffs except for a particular receptionist with glasses whom i think needs more hospitality and manners courses to be in that position.

*Bachelorette & Birthday Trip but hughly disappointed!”

We sent emails to request for a cake because we werre celebrating one of the girl’s birthday, got reply before the trip that the cake would be complimentary. We arrived and were told no cake would be offered because they checked everyone’s passport and no one’s bday was on the day we mentioned. Our friend’s birthday was actually one day before we arrived, we explained to the receptionist and said we didnt mind paying for the cake, but Villa Tantawan refused to help. Then two staff at the reception talked us out at the time. For the rest of the two nights, the driver who drove us from reception lobby to our villa (a walkable distance but in complete darkness at 11pm with steep slope at 1:12) was lazy to open the door of the van for us when we got on and off, not to mention saying hello or goodbye, even we tipped him for the first ride. Bad services after all and photos online cannot tell how the villa aged now.

Excellent”

Big clean room, Private Pool, Great Service. Hot water was not available in one of the night but an engineer was sent at 11pm at night to try to fix it and the hotel offered us to go to another room for a shower. I refused as it was late and I don't mind taking a cold bath however hot water resumed the next day. Hotel location was slightly far from everything else but we had a car so it wasn't a big problem. Breakfast variety was good and staff was helpful and friendly.

Private villa set on a hill overlooking Kamala”

Very comfortable stay. Unfortunately most of the public facilities (reception, gymnasium, restaurant) were closed for renovation. So we had a 3 bedroom villa with a private pool at a good rate - but nothing else. Needed to go out of the villa for everything else. As it's not walking distance to much, a car is necessary. Also, when we booked, on the website it said we were getting 2 bedrooms with king beds, and 1 room with 2 twin beds. However on arrival we found 3 king rooms. The staff happily put in a single bed in one of the rooms, that said on check out, they tried to charge us 4800baht for the additional bed. We disputed this and they waived the fee. Great budget villa for a relaxing getaway with friends.
