Relaxing stay! Awesome staff!”
Village Hotel Changi pretty much has most of the facilities from bar lounge to restaurant to gym and even an executive lounge to chill and drink. Silvia and Nabilah and the team at Village Hotel Changi by Far East Hospitality is excellent. The are very attention to detail and they served with passion. I am pretty surprised when i told them we are celebrating my friend birthday, they gave us a bottle wine for free. Very impressive and warmth indeed. Village Hotel Changi is located near to the airport and is a great venue for family gathering and business solo. I will be back again.

Located opposite Changi Beach but hardly see aircraft flying above”
Contrary to reports, Village Hotel Changi is not the best spot for aircraft-spotting in Changi. During my stay at this hotel, I only see one A380 of Singapore Airlines flying above the roof of this hotel and I do not see any aircraft approach their landing at the airport by flying above the hotel. I need to walk out to Changi Beach opposite, walk for about 30 minutes to Aviation Park Road in order to shoot clearer pictures of aircraft taking off from Changi Airport. Village Hotel Changi is located next to Changi Village food centre, a market and Civil Service Club right next to Changi Beach. There is no public bus stopping in front of the hotel. The only way to reach the hotel is to board its complimentary shuttle bus service at Changi Airport. Its last free bus service at night is 10.30 pm. Beyond that, guests need to pay an expensive fee of above 50 SGD for a car transfer to the hotel. I will not recommend guests arriving after 10.30 pm to stay overnight at this hotel.

A hidden gem in the Lion City”
After 10 years of regular travel to Singapore we've stayed in pretty much everything in this beautiful city from Raffles and the Ritz Carlton to backpacker walk ups in Little India. We reckon Changi Village Hotel is the best 4 star hotel in Singapore. It's great value in a great little village with real atmosphere, where genuine Singaporean residents live. The strip of bars, restaurants and shops is just footsteps from the hotel entrance and has everything you need for a great stay. The stunning sea views offer the perfect backdrop to a relaxing trip. If you want the bright lights of the city centre it's still only 30 minutes away by cab. I guess most people know the hotel as a short stopover spot for transit passengers from the airport. I'm sure it works fine for that but it has SO much more to offer for a longer stay. The rooftop pool is a joy and the fitness centre is well equipped too. The Executive Lounge on the 6th floor is as good as any you'll find anywhere with a great coffee selection, PC access, reading material and a lovely outdoor balcony to enjoy. The rooms are clean and spacious with wonderfully comfortable beds and cool, modern bathrooms. But the real secret to this hotel is the staff. Even though they face high guest turnover with the airport sector they treat each guest with warmth and courtesy and never miss an opportunity to help out or offer a friendly greeting. There's something very genuine about the whole experience and I'd say they make great ambassadors for Singapore. I sometimes travel alone and sometimes with my wife and young daughter but either way these people make me want to come back again and again. A hotel should be welcoming and this one is. Sure, there's a bit of faded paintwork here and there, the corridor carpets are probably due for a change and the exterior facade has some green algae spots that need removing - but forgive those minor fair wear and tear issues and you'll discover a hotel with real heart and soul, a diamond.

My fave hotel in SG... Always... ”
1st visit with my wife in 2008, & we fell in love with the hotel since... As it's our 10th year of marriage, we decided to have a simple & relaxing 2D1N stay at our fave hotel & therefore booked a Superior rm at affordable discounted price via Agoda. We requested for a high floor non-smoking rm, early check-in & late check-out. We know everything is subjected to availability & can only pray hard. We turned up at 1230 to check-in, trying our luck. Instead , the receptionist (Hope I didn't rem wrongly), informed us that the hotel have granted our request & also upgraded our room to Executive! Beside that, we are also entitled to free breakfast & access to the Executive Club Lounge where we can enjoy refreshments & beverages throughout the day! Now this is really a surprise & a great gesture by the hotel!!! :))) I always thought good customer service & hospitality is a rarity in SG, except when paying high bucks... the hotel, Ms Janma and the lounge staffs really made us feel special. T.T Why we loved the place so much? Firstly the location. We want a getaway from the city and best if it's near the beach. Which is why Changi is the best. Everything is within walking distance, from the hotel, to the village, and to the beach. There is a special laid-back feeling in the air which can relax one's heart & mind from the hectic SG life. The room is clean, staffs are always smiling & looking to serve you, & we really love the rooftop swimming pool where we can enjoy the great view of Pulau Ubin, the sky & the sea under the warm sun. Although we do not use the Lounge much, it's great for a private moment to read a book, having a coffee or enjoying the music. The refreshments & breakfast might be simple & not much of a variety but definitely delicious. We have many memories in this hotel & we will always look to visit it again. Sometimes simplicity is the best for tired minds & hearts... This is our 5th stay... & many more to come!!!

Good Transit Stop”
The hotel is nestled in Changi Village, a relaxed and fairly isolated corner of Singapore. The place looks new and very clean. There's a lovely small rooftop pool there. Food at Vau took forever to arrive but it tasted pretty decent. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. An ideal hotel for travellers in Singapore for a very brief stopover since it's located near Changi Airport. A taxi ride costs less than $8 to the airport, and there's the option of taking the hourly free shuttle service to the airport if you have the time to spare. There's excellent local food just minutes away, with hawker centres and local coffeeshops all in a row on the same stretch of road. We loved the Changi boardwalk as well, which offers a relaxing view of the sea. Because it's so far away from the city centre, I wouldn't recommend this place to those looking for some city bustle or shopping. It wouldn't be worth the time and money to travel to town from this place.

Brilliant stay in an idyllic, seaside area!”
I have to say that the Village Hotel Changi is my current favorite hotel in Singapore! I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels in Singapore ..... but the Village Hotel Changi stood apart because of its amazing location and seaside views. Interestingly because its so near the airport, views of planes flying past were a common thing ... and I just found them so beautiful to watch as they soared past the rooftop pool! I was given an executive room with floor to ceiling glass windows. I so enjoyed it ! Especially when a large flock of colorful parrots took to flying past my room. What a sight that was! In addition, the fact that I had Christian scripture on a welcome note in my hotel room blessed my arrival! I was so happy to see The Word of God in display in it's rooms. Praise the Lord! I will most definitely be staying again.

Great Hotel in Remote Location”
Changi Village Hotel is a nice modern hotel in a somewhat remote location on the Singapore island. We are from the USA but lived in Singapore for six years. As a result, we know this island inside and out. We decided to return after three years for a 10 day vacation and knew exactly where we wanted stay. Five days on Orchard (Park Royal) and five days in Changi Village. If you are interested in a taste of local life then this area and hotel are ideal. If you are interested in high end shopping, high end restaurants and entertainment, this is not the place. Walk out the door to experience the many local food restaurants, small shops and markets catering to the locals and just the ambience of local life. There is a recently built beautiful walkway along the coast and wonderful parks just to sit and watch the boats go by. If you really want to go back in time, for of a couple of dollars pop over to Pulau Ubin island from the Changi Jetty for a bike ride. For us, this area was meant for relaxing and taking long walks. The hotel will take you into town free of charge and to/from the airport. And as stated in a previous review, there is a massive transit system across the island which you can figure out how to get to from the hotel. We were impressed with our room (7th floor) with a view of the water. Contrary to a previous reviews, they do provide free toiletries, free internet, free bottled water, etc. - we stayed in a Deluxe room at approx $150 US a night. I would call the hotel personnel somewhat welcoming but with a focus on efficiency. The bed and room was clean and modern. What we were surprised about was the bathroom. There was black mold in the bathroom tiles and the shower had a design flaw which resulted in water all over the floor after a shower. Having lived in Singapore, we know mold is a problem but both of these could and should have been taken care of. Regardless, we would recommend this hotel if you are looking for local experience

Clean, modern and superb”
I only used Changi Village Hotel as a stop over on my way to Cambodia. I hate staying at airport hotels! only a 10 min ride from the airport with hardly any traffic. The hotel is situated right by the water and the are felt extremely safe and clean (very typical of Singapore) By flight was delayed by three hours, so when i turned up at 3 am there was no room for me. Luckily they upgraded me to this huge room that had panoramic views! Its a shame i was only there for one night as i know the room would have been a extremely comfortable to stay in for a period of time! Great service and breakfast was wonderful too. If you don't want the hustle and bustle of busy Singapore this is great for a couple of nights to chill out! good value for money.

Staying in Changi Village”
Changi Village offers a secluded resbit from the clamoring throng of people that is so often Singapore. The Changi Village Hotel offers excellent accomodations in this quiet setting. Even better, being a little off the beaten path, it offers a superior value for money as compared to hotels located closer to the major business and shopping areas. The staff is always helpful and attentive; the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Having stayed both downtown and in Changi multiple times, I prefer and always book the Changi Village Hotel.

Good value at the time”
I often stay in the Village Hotel at Bugis, but to to an upcoming holiday weekend, the prices in town were high and Agoda was offering the Village Hotel at a much lower price. I was pleasantly surprised at the room size, facilities and everything about my stay. As a craft beer lover, it was also really good to be so close to Little Island Brewery in Changi Village. Although some would consider Changi Village a bit remote, there is a good selection of buses going to MRT stations on the East West and Downtown lines.

Highly Recommended!”
We checked in to Village Hotel Changi on 18/08/2014 for a staycation and was happy with the fuss-free and super fast check in by the friendly receptionist (I'm so sorry I didn't take note of her name) which took only 5mins. We were more delighted to be given a room on the 7th floor (requested for high floor, checked!) which had a closed balcony with full glass windows overlooking the sea. The view was really nice. We were also greeted with complimentary tidbits (nuts, that old school round biscuits with icing and dried apple). Room was neat and clean. The bathroom was very clean too. Bed was comfy and the pillows were fluffy! The infinity pool at the roof offers a breathtaking view and enjoyable for plane watching while taking a dip. Breakfast was good and the range was just nice. We were also given a late checkout at 2pm and a bonus as well that the hotel provide customers complimentary parking! Overall the service and stay was a really good one. The hotel gave me a really impressive first impression right from the start we set foot in the property. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and friends to consider for their staycation!

Singapore - another view”
Changi Village hotel is great for visitors who dislike the busy city hotels more common in Orchard Road (and with rates to match). The rooms are a good size, modern & clean. We find this hotel suits us as it is close to our business clients & also close to Changi International Airport. The hotel runs a great service - a complimentary Shuttle Bus to the airport on the hour every housr 24/7 - this would save you at least $25-$30. The abundance of great local restaurants in the area is also another attraction. Our favourite is the Perakahan restaurant - redang curries etc. A meal for 4 ( we ordered too much) incl beers - was about $80. There are also lots of hawker stalls too which are great value for money. If you have time - go for a walk along the foreshore - it's another side of Singapore that many don't realise exists.

Lovely Hotel and service with a smile”
Changi Village hotel is just 15 mins from the airport. It is located close to the sea. So it has a very beautiful view. The hotel facilities are very good and convenient. It has a variety of restaurants, gym, spa and 2 swimming pools. The rooftop infinity pool has the most paranomic view. I can swim and look at the sea from above at the same time. For those who are afraid of getting into cold water, don't worry. The water is warm, even at night. This hotel is the ideal place for relaxation. The hotel staff are very courteous and hospitable too. The 4 hrs front desk will not hesitate to fulfill your request so long as they could do it. The hotel room is big and comfortable. There's a window at the bathtub, you can even watch TV while you are having your shower. As the hotel is also located in the neighbourhood. You can easily get cheaper and tasty food just by walking.

Changi Village Hotel”
This is a well run hotel that is ideally situated for people flying from the airport the next day. There is a shuttle bus from the airport, but you have to know about it. I found out about it by chance when I made an enquiry at the taxi stall. The bus also takes you back to the airport. The hotel is admirably run by well trained staff who speak excellent English. They also went out of their way to help me with a problem with my booking of which I knew nothing before my arrival. One minor point: I wish I had known that breakfast was not included when I was told the room price. Changi village is not the most exciting place in Singapore, but there are plenty of eating places within a short walking distance. So hotel staff 10/10; the hotel 9/10; Changi village 5/10.

Changi Village Hotel”
If you're overnighting at Singapore and you want to be close to the airport (to catch that very early or very late flight), then you don't want to stay close to the city: either you'll run late because the taxi is stuck in traffic, or else the late trains are too infrequent or the rush-hour trains are to crowded. So either you can pay a premium and stay at the Ambassador Airport Hotel, with its location inside the airport itself, and eat airport food, and breathe toxic carpet air, or you can stay somewhere close to the airport. The Changi Village hotel is very close to the airport with a free shuttle bus, and it's cheaper than staying in the airport, and you can walk around the Changi Village with its many small restaurants and other shops. You can walk a little further and see the ocean, if you like (try that inside the airport!). And I've found it more affordable than inside the airport (try booking through an online tool , it pays to shop around).

Delightful sea side location”
The hotel benefits from a central location in Changi village. Adjacent you will find a plethora of eateries and general shops. Be sure to visit the hawker centre for a cheap but fulfilling meal for a little over $3 Singapore with a drink. Although we didn't eat in the hotel we did peruse the in house menu which we found to be competitively priced and good choices to be had. It's location is hard to beat, close to the Changi golf club, on the main bus route, closeness to the sea presents an ideal situation for families looking for a hotel that gives everything, including the choice of 2 swimming pools. Certainly if returning to Singapore for a holiday I would certainly consider this hotel as my base for my proposed stay. Highly recommend!

Excellent Hotel”
This is not our first time staying at the Changi Village Hotel. Besides its four star hotel qualities, we love the location that is nearby the airport especially when we have to catch early morning flight out of Singapore. We love the changi village neighborhood that is in a walking distance to a public beach and a ferry pier to Palau Ubin. The restaurants and food stalls nearby are also our destinations. If you like to get to center of Singapore, you can take bus No.2 from the opposite side of the hotel. It will give a brief 40 minute of Singapore neighborhoods on the way into town. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Lovely”
The Changi Village Hotel is located on Changi Village Road, by the sea. It is a quiet, peaceful part of Singapore and one feels relaxed here. Yet, nearby are lots of places to eat- from economical hawker stalls to classy seafood joints. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, and the food outlets on the hotel are most inviting. I did not get to try any of them because I came to Singapore for a private family function.
