Honeymoon Couple ”

We stayed at the W-retreat for 7 nights on our honeymoon. This place is absolutely amazing, the staff are the most friendly, genuine people you could ever meet, they felt like family to us and we were so sad to leave. We really can't wait to get back to Koh Samui and stay at the W, we hired a scooter and drove around to the many other hotels in Koh Samui, this included Banyan Tree and Tongsai Bay I am pleased to say that staying at the W was the best decision we have ever made none of these hotels come close to comparing. Firstly, I’d like to thank you to all of you to make our trip so memorable. It’s been a tough year for everyone especially hotel crew as we know how this situation affected you all badly. However, the quality of your services is still there, even beyond. We’d like to thank you to Khun Oh (the male staff from the Kitchen Table) who took care of us at the Christmas lunch. As we have been a big fan of W does brunch in BKK, we kinda know how you run this thing fairly well. There was a misunderstanding at the beginning about our booking but he managed to recover our negative feelings very well and quickly. It was something that we really appreciated, and we knew that W would highly be our favourite place to stay for our future Samui trip from now on. One more compliment to your front desk staff, apologies I did not manage to get her name. She checked us in on the 22nd December. She was so kind and patient while explaining things. I could catch everything she explained the first time at the concierge. (You know you get loads of information when you check in, never 100% remember everything at the first place - but she did it well which really surprised me) Kudos to her great communication. Thank you very much, and hope next year will be a brighter year for all of you. We will definitely come back soonest!

nice hotel, good good, but bad quality of sand”

The hotel decoration very cozy and more modern compare to other hotel in Samui. But if compare to other W hotel, i would say W retreat not so treandy and not really need W stardard. Ocen view is really impressed me. Foods at Table Kitchen was awesome!! but beach and sand was disappointed us alot.

GREAT VIEW, nice private pool”

The W retreat hotel was EXCELLENT in terms of its hardware. The view, facilities, the private pool, the seaview, and various amenities you would expect. The service and 'people', however, could use some improvements. We will write a more detailed review. Overall, this was a great experience.

We love W samui and will definitely come back in the future. The choice of restaurant is not much, and the quality of food can be improved. The beach, spa and the bar are great!

High service standart, but not a nice beach”

I really like the W Retreat and even got an Upgrade, which was nice. I love the style and design of the hotel, but still I have to stay that the beach is not what you´d usually be looking for on Koh Samui. You can´t go into the ocean without shoes because there are sharp corals (good: there is a warnig sign), and the sand is not that nice either. The AC is hard to deal with - mine was and too cold most of the time, blowing directly into my face at night. Great: The Sweet Spots where you can get drinks and ice cream for free. I didn´t really use it, but I love this gesture, that´s really nice. Plus complimentary water at the beach all day. The bottom line is: I would come back, but not for a long term stay as there are better beaches here.

Good view at the lobby and you will love it”

We come with three persons in the group for relaxing trip in this hotel, feeling very great in the hotel facilities even for the spa services that I am feeling great and enjoyed for the trip. The service provided by the hotel staff is great and worth for the money you have spend to the hotel. The Lobby have the good view that you and your family can enjoyed with evening tea and taking photos which is the best and relax that I was there.

A bit crowded and over priced ”

1. Rooms are too close and not enough space in the room when compare to other luxury hotels in samui. 2. Not a good place for honey moon or retreat. 3. Some ice-cream in the free sweet spots are melted. 4. Too many mainlanders in W, they are super noisy and destroyed the quietness of a retreat resort. 5. The staffs are helpful and nice after all however, we would not choose to go back anymore. 6. The breakfast and food in the Kitchen Table is very nice.

Extrodinary views sitting back sipping on Cocktail”

The resort is located perfectly for the person who wants to get away from the everyday crowds but at the same time enjoy the hip vibes and sounds of a happening bar whilst enjoyning a few drinks outdoors. The W branch of hotels has a very modern and funky feel and this one does not disappoint.

Fantastic hotel ”

Super friendly staff. Truly is a retreat. Make plans to spend at least a couple of days there just chilling around. Everything was great, pool villa was beautiful. They left little surprises daily in the room. You can walk or a buggy comes to pick you up straight from your room.

W gave us different experience from other hotels. We are please with everything but we think they should improve on their Breakfast buffet.

Stunning view / lackluster experience ”

1) Erratic service staff - we could perhaps identify only 2 staff who were truly friendly and efficient throughout our stay. While the rest might put on a smiley at first, behold, at the slightest incomvenience to them, their face changed faster than Szechuan face mask changing art! My friends and I find it quite entertaining watching them change after a while. God forbids that u want your onions more cooked at the omelette station, eye-rolls and silent grudge will show! 2) no acknowledgement of SPG gold member. Still cost us more than a grand per night though. 3) long wait on the buggy, poorly coordinated lethargic staff (seemingly jaded by tourists) 4) this is by far our worst W experience. The only salvation is the view and nice villa.

Spectacular Hotel!”

you get what you pay for! excellent staff from checkin to checkout. the rooms are large spacious and the bed is very very comfortable. nice quiet beach and many great seating areas to relax with a nice view. excellent breakfast as well. overall pleased with little negatives.

Beautiful setting, mediocre food, not that good beach since the sand was rough and got cut a few times walking barefoot but saving grace, beds everywhere is good. Very relaxing vacation in a hotel with a beautiful atmosphere.

Modern Hotel”

The hotel has the fashion design and great facilities to let their guests enjoy their vacation. Also their hotel staff are so professional and have great attitude.
