Warapura provides: Perfect Location, Amazing rooms, Great Staff and an Affordable Price”
We stayed at Warapura Resort for 8 days and loved every minute there, even when the weather was not kind to the whole Koh Chang. We had a few days of very heavy rain, which caused major issues to roads, power and communications for our area of the island (Lonely Beach); but that was minimum compared to the devastation received by some local villages in other areas of the island. During that period, Warapura Resort and its staff was put through a very demanding test. We always felt looked after by the staff, our rooms were maintained to their best abilities, and we are so thankful to all staff for that. Warapura is located right on the water, our rooms were opposite the rocky beach providing amazing views. The rooms and their ensuites were huge, very comfortable and clean. The resort gardens and pool are beautiful, the restaurant and bar provide top quality food and drinks (we LOVED their Happy Hour and had lots of cocktails to prove it!).

Lovely small hotel in good location”
We returned to Warapura Resort after a few days on Koh Mak, as we'd enjoyed our stay so much the first time. Couldn't fault the service, food or the pool. Only shame was the continued building works in the restaurant area, which are supposed to be finished in time for Christmas. Again though, all building work stopped in time for sunset and dinner, so it wasn't a huge inconvenience. I'd go back to Warapura again...the location is excellent, the staff are super friendly and it's the best place to stay around Lonely Beach in that price range.

Amazing staff, drinks, sunsets”
Warapura truly made our holiday. We stayed 5 nights at the start of our trip and then loved it so much we booked another 5 nights. The staff are so so sweet and welcoming, Gelly Bear, Suang, Kek Loh Ra and Lang (and more of the staff but I don't know their names! ). The rooms are really stylish, we overlooked the sea fort the first 5 nights and then overlooked the pool for the next five day (which we actually preferred even though it was cheaper to overlook the pool - the room was slightly bigger / nicer). Staying near Lonely Beach isn't necessarily first choice for travelling with young kids but thank God for Warapura, the staff couldn't have been more helpful with the kids, the vibe was really chilled and stylish in comparison to a lot of the other places in the area. We were repeatedly told by other travellers / holidayers that we had chosen one of the best places to stay in the area and that the drinks/cocktails (the Pina coladas are amazing) are the best in Lonely beach.

Great relaxing atmosphere!”
Warapura resort is located in the Lonely Beach vicinity (10 min walk) at the end of a street which makes it very quiet at night. Cool restaurants and bars are located in a short walk up the street. The whole resort has a great relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in the Poolside Villa, room and bathroom are spacious and comfy although the beds were too hard for us. The mid-size swimming pool is clean and never crowded. The restaurant right on the waters edge is really beautiful. Fantastic value for money!

Stayed for 25 day”
I love Lonely Beach. A village atmosphere but you can also party every night if you wish to. Having stayed at Warapura for 3 nights in November, I booked in for 25 days. I had a fantastic time, part relaxing, part partying. For me Warapura is the best place to stay on Lonely Beach. It is located in the village and 10 minute work from the beach. There are resorts of this standard on the beach, but one is at the far end of the beach, so quite far from the village and the other is between two backpacker places, so can get quite noisy. Warapura is very quite, but also very convenient.

Warapura Resort - rocky beach but beautiful hotel”
I adore Warapura Resort: the staff work hard to keep it well maintained, and are extremely attentive to any special requests. I stayed there three years ago, and made a special trip to stay there again during my current trip to Thailand. I recommend it for those who simply want to relax and forget their daily cares. It is great for families, but the rocks make ocean swimming nearly impossible; the pool is kept clean and towels are available so it is a terrific alternative. I will definitely come again. If this hotel were anywhere else in the world, it would cost much more for a stay. My only concern is about AGODA, bc I needed a change of dates and the AGODA website had a "Manage Your Stay" feature but it was not responsive, even though I tried it many times on different days; finally I contacted the hotel directly and got satisfaction. The hotel conditions were as good as could be expected during a (heavy) rainy season. Oh, the geckos are fearless and do a terrific job of catching mosquitos. They even go in the hotel rooms, but unless you are microscopic in size you will be perfectly safe (don't be afraid!)

Loved Warapura! ”
Beachfront bungalows were so adorable, comfy beds, spacious, clean, restocked with towels and water daily. Friendly fun and helpful staff. Breakfast and food in general was great. Wonderful selection of Thai and American. My fave was pizza and free cocktail. Happy hour with the dancing staff, sitting on the edge of the ocean , watching sunset is not to be missed. Pool clean and almost always empty. Beach in front I’d rocky And not swimmable , but easy to walk to Lonely beach in about ten minutes or hop a taxi/scooter to other beaches quickly. Loved the area around Warapura lots of shops, minimarts., music clubs, dance clubs, massage and excellent restaurants. All street food was safe and delicious!! Only con is you can hear the thump thump of the electronic dance music until about 6:30am but easily rectified with ear Plugs. Lonely beach area is great but not the most family friendly. We were a group of 4 ladies all between 49-60 and we loved it !

A fantastic place to stay!”
We really loved it! Although Lonely Beach is quite touristy place, Warapura was a true oasis. Our bungalow (we received a free upgrade) was very nice with a large bathroom. There is no beach at the resort, but the pool was just renovated and a good place to cool down. We rented a scooter at the hotel which brings you in a few minutes to all the nearby beaches. The bar/restaurant is a great place to relax and watch the sunset. Breakfast was also very good with a lot of choice. But most outstanding was the staff. They were extremely nice and helpful. Definitely recommended, high value for money!

Awesome Hotel, and friendly staff”
We had a great time at this laid back resort. The staff were helpful and were pretty good at english. The back "nice cottage" rooms were a bit small and pokey but we got upgraded due to water temp issues. The pool is great and the bar/restaurant is stunning by the water. The bar is expensive, but the two alleyways adjacent have great bars/restaurants that are cheap and interesting. You do have to walk 5 minutes away to get to lonely beach. Overall, Warapura is a great resort and lonely beach is the best beach on Koh Chang.

great location with some noise from the party town”
We enjoyed the stay at the Warapura for about two weeks. It is a peaceful location well spread out. Great to chill out. However not the best place for small children which might be noisy at the pool. Also, the wooden pathways on the property are not in best shape anymore and small children can easily step into the gaps and nails are sticking out. The next sand beach is about 10min walk. We did not like lonely beach very much. It is quite crowded (at least in January). Great for party people, not the best choice for families. Breakfast buffet is definitely great - also because of the nice setting. Warapura never seemed crowded and always peaceful although it was fully booked out during our stay.

very relaxing”
I highly recommend Warapura Resort. I stayed in the private villa for four nights after following the recommendation of several others on Agoda. It is a one (large) room, one (large) bathroom accommodation with the rooftop balcony. The room was very spacious with windows all the way around. If you are looking for an extremely relaxed, and romantic getaway I would definitely recommend it. It is at the end of a small road with a lot of restaurants and conveniences nearby. You can find several great restaurants, laundry, and rent a motorbike all within 100m. Although it is on the water, there isn’t really a beach. It is a rocky entrance but there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby. The pool was clean and nice to relax in after a day at the beach. The breakfast was good, offering a variety of foods from cereals, omelets made to order, soup, … an above normal free breakfast.

Great place to relax”
We enjoyed our stay in Warapura a lot! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our seaside villa had a perfect view. Despite being adjacent to the hotel restaurant, it was not noisy. We had dinner a couple of times there and it was very delicious. Plus great music, relaxing atmosphere and nice sea view - perfect to chill out. You can also take some dvds with movies at reception (rooms has a dvd player). You can rent a scooter in the hotel (so no need to leave your passport as a security). Lonely beach is nearby. When we were lazy we used scooter to get there. The only deawback of the villa was the presence of different insects as the balcony door could not be properly closed (there was a whole). But everything else was great! I would definitely recommend (at least for a short stay - we spent there 4 nights)

Perfect Location”
This is a boutique resort style hotel with the best location in lonely beach. I stayed for 8 days and absolouey loved the privacy. I booked the pool side room with ocean view. Large room with large bathroom perfect for couple or solo traveler. The resort is on the beach with no sand beach but walking distance to the main beach streach, shops, and main town. If you can afford it, and need some time out this is your home away from home. The surrounding well maintained garden, swimming pool and ocean deck will make an enjoyable stay. The staff have went through makeover and absoloutly Devine to have around. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Any downside? You can probably find cheaper places to stay. So if you are ok with the price this is a great choice.

Nice resort but empty during low-season”
Warapura Resort's design is very nice, modern and clean. It's in the heart of Lonely Beach but is located at the end of a quiet soi away from the bars and restaurants so you have some privacy. The affordable but more upscale prices probably attract a slightly older crowd (30 up) and is perfect for couples or families. I went during the low-season (July 2013) so the resort was understandably empty (I think I was the only guest!) so it felt a bit isolated and lonely in the evenings. The restaurant was only serving basic meals and the swimming pool was being cleaned/renovated but it looks like it will be nice finished. The resort was nice enough to upgrade me to a very comfortable villa room which was a nice touch. The resort faces a rocky/un-swimmable beach but the main beach is short 10-15 min. walk away. Overall, Warapura Resort seems very nice but avoid going during the low-season...unless you want to be completely alone!

Lovely hotel in good spot, great pool”
We stayed at Warapura Resort for 6 nights in late November 2011. Lovely small place with good villas and huts. Pool is excellent, as is the bar/restaurant overlooking the sea...good place to sit in a hammock and watch the sunset. Staff are really friendly. Only small niggle was the building work going on in the restaurant area during the day. This stopped at breakfast/sunset/dinner so not a major problem but it did mean it wasn't an option to hang out their during the day. Overall a great place - we liked it so much we went back for a second stay after a few nights on Koh Mak.

Great location, amazing staff, astonishing sunset views!”
Such a fantastic place, my best stay in Thailand so far! A huge huge thanks to the staff: incredibly kind, very accommodating, smiling and happy to assist, the restaurant staff in afternoon /evening are very friendly - they all made my lovely stay become an amazing and unforgettable one. Everything was perfect: views, quietness in a busy part of koh chang, easy to walk to so many different places (or rent a bike to go to other beaches). hotel was always very clean, room serviced everyday, pool perfect. Breakfast was my only minor disappointment: not the best and not much choice but the rest of the food whether snacks or dinner is very tasty and reasonably priced. I had the nice cottage and had everything I needed. Mattress is a bit hard like in all Thai hotels, but they were kind to add an extra layer to make it more comfy. Overall: if you want to enjoy the best vibes of koh chang, while still have a good sleep, and relax, this is the place to be! Highly recommend !

Lovely resort”
we were two young backpackers from denmark, who urgently needed a place to stay in lonely beach, and therefore just booked the only available place. when we arrived we were so surprised: this was a really nice resort. it's so cosy and relaxed, with the beautiful sea-view restaurant and the hammocks, the nice swimmingpool, etc. the only minus is that there was no safety deposit box in the room. however, the staff kept my stuff safe all the time in the reception, so i was fine. the hotel is mostly for couples, small families, etc. and therefore not an ideal place if you want backpacker-vibe. it is, though, a 3 minutes walk to the lonely beach village, which is a nice place to party, eat, hang out and so. if you want to go to the beach, it is a 7-8 minute walk along the road. in short, this hotel has a perfect location. we would recommend going here!

Peaceful spot in a party area”
We have stayed 6 nights in Warapura. The bungalow was really nice and we have also enjoyed several meals and drinks in the restaurant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The area has many bars and clubs but at Warapura you can escape from the noise and party crowd. I recommend coming here, if you want to be at lonely beach and live in a relaxed and quiet surrounding.

A positive experience ”
i was really impressed with my whole experience at warapura resort. i stayed 4 nights in the poolside villa, then booked an extra night in the only available room left (private villa). both rooms i found were clean, and gave a peaceful and relaxing vibe. although both have roof decks, the private villa was better with a light up pergola and chairs with table, where as pool side had nothing on top. wifi was excellent everywhere (and free) however was nearly out of range in the private villa. i enjoyed the delicious breakfasts sitting on the each of the sea watching the tide come in. staff were friendly and always smiling. in the village, which made it very safe for me, a teenage girl to walk home alone from bars at night.

Always delighted by Warapura”
This resort is worth the time spent traveling to Koh Chang from Bangkok. The rooms are clean and well tended. Morning breakfast offers good food and spectacular view of the Gulf of Thailand. Thank you Warapura for all you offer your guests.
