The service is great! We got a huge room with very good hot spring in room. However, the public hot spring is a bit disappointing. We prefer to bath in the room.

The booking I had made included dinner, which I was not aware of, but we weren’t disappointed. A private dining experience with 12 small plates of food. Each interesting and enjoyable. Our room also contained a private hot spring bath which was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helped us as much as they could. We were in the area for the rugby and the staff were very much in the spirit. A free shuttle bus was arranged for transfers to and from the train station. We did not get to explore the town as much as we could due to our time there, but it looks very quaint and a more relaxed environment to the hustle and bustle of the major cities. I would also recommend the local cheesecake available in some of the shops!

Staffs are so nice and patient, they explained clearly everything to you, and their service was wonderful. You can feel being respected. You can sleep well in winter because the heater is just right :D One thing not good enough is that the smoke of cigarette of the last user was left over on one of the bathrobe. But you can get it changed if you ask the staff to do so.

Excellent Comfortable Stay”
The room is extremely big, including a living room, toilet and a private onsen as well. High privacy for sure. There are also public onsen as well with both indoor and outdoor for men and women separately. Food are great as well. The only thing is that it is in a bit uphill and not too close to Yufuin main street. Although it is rather close to the lake. We are driving so not a problem for us.

Very nice Japanese style hotel”
The hotel is near the lake, around 5min walk. It’s quite convenient that there’s a car to drive us to the hotel from Yufuin train station. The staff here is very nice. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel is delicious. The room is big and tidy. It’s really nice that the staff set up the mattress for us when we’re out of the room for dinner. The onsen is great too. Highly recommend for travellers to stay in Yufuin.

The food was excellent! We did not regret upgrading our menu to grilled bungo beef. It was delicious! The room was also spacious and clean. We like how it was a fusion between traditional and modern ryokan. We didn't use the private bath much in the room though. The onsen water was not hot enough.

Great hotel but a bit far from the street”
Very quiet and very comfortable. The receptionist is also very kind. But a bit far from the business district, it is more difficult to go out for a walk. But you can be very immersed in the facilities of this hotel.

We absolutely love the place, although it requires a bit of walk from the main street, the view along the road is definitely worth it. Very good service and hospitality from the staff, delicious breakfast and nice hot spring. We booked the cheapest room among all but it was super spacious and can see the mountain. Front desk was very helpful, impeccable hospitality, spacious and clean room, nice food, definitely worth the money, we highly recommend Yufuin Ubl hotel!
