I visited here with my parents. Even though I needed to take a taxi to get there, it is understandable process if I think about the price of this ryokan. The host also provided driving service when we back to the station. But this should have to check the schedule. Everything about the place were exactly same with the picture. Especially my family super satisfy with breakfast service. it was one of best meal i had during trip. If anyone want to experience ryokan with reasonable price, I could highly recommend here.

Good experience, nice ryokan”
The ryokan couple owners are super nice. They can speak English with some English/ Chinese/ Korean information guidelines provided. The room, hot springs and the toilet is new and clean. The food provided are good. The cat cafe has 7 cats, super cute. U only need to pay ¥500 for night period or morning period, then u can enter the cafe with one free drink and snack. There is no hot spring inside the room, they are outside. One is indoor and one is outdoor. Both are private use. Booking is not needed. U only need to inform the staff and lock the door when u use them. Soap and shampoo are available in the hot spring area. 1hr time limit each time. It’s lucky that the whole ryokan serves me only on that night, so I don’t even need to wait. As I remember, there is only 4 rooms and 2 shared toilet (one for male and one for female) in the 2nd floor. The female can allow 2 persons to use at the same time. No toilet inside the room, but sink is available. In the first floor, there are canteen, cat cafe and toilet. And a free car park located just next to the ryokan, and it only take ~10mins drive from the Lake Kinrin & the main street. Or they can help u to call taxi. The Yukata they provided is very beautiful, extremely love it. In short, it’s really worth to stay here overnight 👍🏻.

Waraneko no yado is so far I think the most comfortable accommodation I've ever had. The environment is clean, warm and cute, with cute cats and accessories. Will surely come back next time.

The cat cafe/inn is run by Mr Abe and his wife. I received the warmest welcome from the two and Mr Abe also lift me to the train station twice, once for going out at night and the other time was when I left the place. It is a small place yet you can feel the cat features at every corner and how much love was put into this small yet cozy place. Even if you don't get inside the cat space(500￥)you can watch the cats playing through the window while having breakfast. Rooms are on the second floor and toilets are shared. Onsen, dining area and cat cafe are on the ground floor. Be prepared for the Cat photo before you leave though, everyone is invited to put on the cat ears to keep this most therapeutic experience ever in picture with Abe san. I would say the only downside is that it is a 5-7 min drive from the yufuin station however taxi is easily accessible there. If you have mobile to contact in advance I am sure Abe san would be more than welcome to pick you up upon arrival. Thanks!

If you're a cat lover and like hot springs, you must visit here : this place will definitely satisfy you. The staff is really nice and they'll do their best for your comfortable stay. However, this hostel is a bit far from yufuin station ; you ought to get on the taxi(we payed 1000 JPY) or walk for more than 30 minutes. But I loved here and I'll willingly visit here again :)

What I liked about: 1. Reasonable price 2. Friendly, kind hosts 3. Small but wonderful private spa (2 confined, 1 open; you can hear trains passing by.) 4. Japanese traditional mat floored room, not big but cozy and simple 5. Breakfast; 3 different types (Japanese, Western, and Kimchi) of simple dishes served like small buffet. tasteful! 6. 7 smiling cats; there is a cat cafe where you can hang out(?) with the cats. Less than expected: 1. Dinner: I expected course meal for dinner like the other Ryokan served but there were simple dishes in one plate. (Although the food was delicious.) 2. Location: a bit far from the station. There were too many people waiting for taxi at that time, and it took me 40 min by walk to the place. (But it was a pleasant walking by little stream, small railroad...) 3. Toilet outside your room; like the most of the Ryokans in the village, toilets are shared, and you can take shower only at the spa.

One of a kind stay in a cat-theme B&B”
Top notch hospitality and service from the hosts! Had fun with 7 cute cats - entrance fee into its cats cafe is ¥500 each. The rooms are equipped with Japanese style tatami and futon. Excellent and clean hot spring facility. Authentic Japanese breakfast with cat-faced fried eggs. A bit difficult to navigate to this location, but Google Map got it right. Best to drive otherwise it is a long walk from the train station. Overall a highly recommended stay.

It was pretty awesome for visiting with my family. Service was amazing and they were so kind. I could do onsen 2 times. Outside and inside onsen both are great. Also it is really clean and food was good. I could see several cats there and they were so cute. I hope I could go again. They gave me gift and good memory too. Thanks a lot.

Comfortable guesthouse situated 10 minutes (by car) from Yufuin station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an early train to catch and one of the staff offered to send me to the station as it was snowing heavily. Private bath and onsen was very good. Cats were a plus too.

温泉に行きたくて探していたところに猫カフェも併設されているお宿を発見。 お風呂も貸切にできるので人の目を気にしないでのんびりできるとかありがたい配慮。 アメニティも揃ってますし、女性に優しい環境です。 交通の弁がよくないってところではありますが、帰りの際は駅までスタッフの方が送ってくださるので時間の許す限り猫ちゃんと戯れて帰り時間を迎えれそうです。

遇見溫馨的一趟貓咪&溫泉輕鬆旅”
如果確定住這間，先去看一下官網，會有很多說明跟晚餐的出處，有法式跟和式，且這邊不好訂晚餐，如果AGODA這邊沒訂到，就要提前三天去電說明需要。雖然到這邊需要搭計程車，但旅館接待住宿人數有限，所以服務有相當提升，受到旅館這邊人員的照顧，雖然不會中文，不過店主這邊中文說明也算是做得不錯。跟貓咪接觸有另外買貓咖啡的服務才可以接觸貓咪，貓咪很多，也都很有個性，接觸空間也相當的奢侈，店主也都會一一說明貓咪習性跟可以觸摸的部位。整間店相當有貓咪味，各個角度都可以看到貓咪飾品，房間空間也都還足夠。至於露天溫泉，有室內兩間，室外一間先到先用，空間相當寬敞。泉質算是也不錯的了。建議可以住個兩晚，充分享受由布院這邊的風景。在這邊受到的溫馨，希望很快還能去造訪。
