Great Value Ryokan”
arrived at check in time and welcomed by staffs who are panicked to know that i may not be able to communicate well. a lady staff actually speaks decent english for us to understand complicated words. location pretty convenient. you can take the bus from awara onsen station bus stop no.2 (buy the 2 day pass for the bus from tourist information) and drop off at 1 station after awara yunomachi station bus stop. you might find it difficult if you dont know a scrap of japanese, but if you do know some japanese words, youll be able to enjoy the stay just fine.

サービスは必要最低限で、温泉の施設が充実していてコスパはいいと思います。ただ、温泉が売りなのにバスタオルとフェイスタオルが1人1枚ずつで、2枚目以降は追加料金で残念でした。バリアフリーでは無いので、追加タオルはフロントまで取りに行かないといけないのであれば、年配の宿泊客も多そうだったので、最初から2枚ずつ部屋に置いておいてその分料金を上乗せしたほうが親切だと思います。
