Great breakfast! Great buffet dinner! Very helpful staffs, very courteous and very very polite!! Excellent cleanliness!!The best hotel I've ever visited in Kuala Lumpur. Better services compare to Singapore's hotels. I remember the lady during the buffet dinner. She was very polite. Very accommodating. She deserves recognition. I talked to her while paying my dinner bill. I forgot her name. She was wearing spectacle. However I commend all your staffs. The reception ladies who met and greeted me and assisted me to check in. I commend the bell boy who carried my luggage to the room on 23 Sept. Those also assigned in the security check, they very courteous and polite. You usherettes and ushers they always greet all the people. They deserve recognition. Also your staffs during dinner and breakfast are also deserve recognition. Very clean. Your hotel is the best. I've been to number of 5 stars hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Shangri-La is the best among them. Worth for money! You have best staffs.
Everything is PERFECT”
I went with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary there and were pleasantly surprised by a free room upgrade for our entire stay! Check-in process was smooth and when we entered our room, the bed was nicely decorated with rose petals and we even received a box of handcrafted chocolates with a card as our anniversary gift! Also, did I mention they also gave a complimentary Lush bath bomb for our stay too? The bed is comfy, the furniture although looked a bit dated but still give out that timeless luxurious feeling to the room, and most importantly the room is really clean. Other facilities - the Health Club is GREAT. I'm in love with the gym and the spa! The only minus point is the limited spread of their breakfast menu. Not sure if its because of the new SOP (most hotels don't do buffets now) but still most of the food tasted good. Special shoutout to Ms Fairuz & Pn Diana for your exceptional assistance & service! Will surely come again soon :)
Superb hotel if u are travelling with kids!”
We stayed in the Family Premier Suite and we had access to the Horizon Club which is really spacious with sofa sets and comfortable with minimal crowd for dining in. So if u are travelling with young children or infants then this is the place u should stay in where buffet dining is all included and you are not worried about your children walking and exploring around the area. Room is superb clean and comfy and the kids tent was awesome. My boy loves it! Last but not least customer service is excellent and staff were really friendly and helpful. I had requested the hotel to arrange for taking the delivery of my baby’s celebration cake as I was arriving late to the hotel. The staff took the cake and placed in our room and that really solved our hassle of rushing to the hotel. Thank you so much Shangrila…we had a wonderful staycation with our 2 boys!
I booked 2 rooms at shangri la to spend our weekend together with my parents in law. The staffs were attentive. Overall the stay was great. We were given late checkout at 2pm as well Cons: no in room dining menu in the room. Furniture & setup looks a bit old & outdated but the bed & pillows are comfortable. Had my hi tea in the lobby. Taste wise, it was nothing extraordinary. The price was RM75 per pax. Size of the scones & cakes were tiny- like a fun size cake. Not recommended at all. Breakfast- normal. Nothing special. Other than that, service was superb. Check in & check out was smooth. All SOP was adhered accordingly. Will i come back? Maybe.

Had a staycation with my mum and thought a decent hotel with a decent breakfast would be good. Didn't expect it was way better and perfect, especially on the service. Here's why: 1. We reached precisely at 2pm and were in queue for check-in. The queue wasn't even long and we wouldn't mind waiting, but one counter staff promptly opened a station to check us in. In less than 5, we're happily in our room - 830 overlooking pool (well, I forgot to ask what's other view options) 2. In the room, sanitiser and alcohol wipes were provided for guests, just in case cautious guests want to do extra cleaning (we did!). And it was really good because I forgot to bring one 3. The breakfast. I had to agree with other reviews that their breakfast choices were really awesome and ample, no prob if you want Chinese, Asian or western. You won't starve. But TBH i had mostly coffee only, and few bites of buns and porridge (so not much comments on taste). And thumbs up for the cafe staff for sending me coffee again on my second trip down even though it's the end of breakfast session. Thank you! 4. Facilities. I don't know bout others cos I used only gym, and I must said it's a must-go! Feel like a clubhouse, and you get to do your workout overlooking some greens. Feedback? There's one really I couldn't be not sharing, as this is kinda important amidst covid threat. Upon our arrival for breakfast, we were shown to a table, where it had been set. While we were sitting down, a kind gentleman next table called for a waiter asking him to change the plates and utensils for us, saying someone had been using them earlier before us but it wasn't taken away yet! We were kinda shocked (imagine if the guy wasn't there to tell) and even after it was replaced, we got paranoid and asked to change my mum's set as well. That probably explained why I had little appetite you see. Overall? I would really love to go back, but I'll always request for a change on anything that's set without me seeing it first

Things to look forward to: 1) breakfast buffet spread 2) spacious, comfortable bed 3) room facilities Things that could be improved: 1) musky smell in the room. It's not that it's unpleasant, but it's something unusual. Smells like something that you get from entering old buildings, but it's not. Can't seem to understand what it is and whether it is intentional. Don't know whether to be concerned or not. 2) room service food portion could be improved. Had a delicious biryani but left wanting more. Some more papadoms, achar or any indian vegetables side dishes to accompany my biryani would have been nice.

An old hotel, the design look dated. BUT very well maintain (i understand now why others complain about other hotels not well maintained) Parking - Start with parking, a bit tight. a norm for an old building. but no issue to find parking space Check in - best experience. Every single worker that we meet (OR walk nearby) request for help. And after check in process the girl (who process for our check) follow us until lift open Lift - i never experience a lift system that work so fast. during my stay i never had to wait more than 10 seconds for lift to open. Room - Room is large but looks dated. we get a birthday cake even without a special request. i like the AC control - very simple (up, down & AC) TV - more than 25 'working' channel Breakfast - a lot nice & special menu. cannot try all as still full. they give us a same seat as dinner night before (which is a nice touch) Service - even the Maze Garden door was lock, somebody look we try to access it and help to unlock for us
First time to stay in Shangri-La Kl but I can only say nicest things about them. Staffs are 100% attentive, helpful and accommodating. They always greet you with a smile😊. Amenities are awesome as well and I enjoyed so much in their whirlpool. Rooms are very cozy and clean. We also enjoyed scrumptious buffet breakfast because there are varieties of food to choose from. Check in and check out is hassle free.It's highly recommendable to those who are looking for a place to stay in Kl. I will definitely schedule my next staycation.
It’s the second time we stayed at this hotel As usual we were well pleased with the service provided The room was nice and clean However we felt that the atmosphere was not as great as last time (4 years ago) Maybe because of too many kids running around? (Nothing against kids, but the noise level does go up) Therefore it didn’t feel as tranquil Oh we also miss the fruits we got last time we were here The masks provided was apprehended if not the quality was simply horrible! It fell apart after a short wear! Overall we enjoyed our stay

We spent 5 nights in the executive king suite with my 2 years old daughter. We all enjoyed it very much. It’s clean and spacious. Breakfast at Lemon Garden is good, food in horizon club is great, activities for kids are perfect! It’s 5 mins walk to KLCC and around 15 mins walk to Pavillion.
I really enjoyed my stay here in Shangri La. Their staff is truly the best. Everyone is polite and ready to help you. The room is very nice and comfortable and I love the fact that the aircond is not too cold. Breakfast is very nice too with lots of choice. Will definitely stay here again

Surprise stay for my wife for our 14th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you so much to Mr Ali Shariati at Front Desk & Ms Zie at the Horizon Club Lounge for making our stay more memorable. The hotel make special gesture with the special amenities room setup in our room. Breakfast was good. We did not try the dinner buffet but ordered room service instead. Overall the service from their staff that make us want to come back! It has been a while that you ever experience the original hospitality service during these time! Bravo!!

This was my second trip to Kuala Lumpur, and I absolutely wanted to stay at Shangri-La again. The rooms and facilities are wonderful, the staff are all extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and Shangri-La has the best buffet breakfasts and dinners of any hotel I've ever stayed! For me, the location is perfect, close to the city's main attractions, and an easy walk to a convenient rail station, places to eat, and fun nightlife.
I travel a lot and usually I do not write recommendations as I am too lazy. However, for every rule there is an exception and Shangri La in KL truly deserves it: My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for two days as it was her birthday. Everything was perfect, from the surprise cake for her, to the hotels help provided to me for wrapping gifts, to the executive club free cocktails, the tip-top room and the great breakfast. I reall thank the entire team!

I love everything about this hotel. They are soooo considerate of my birthday. Keep on sending cakes to our room. Hahaha.. we also been upgraded from deluxe to executive room. And get a complimentary drinks coupon too. The breakfast was also great. With vast menu to choose from. SOP's were followed and everyone including the guest can be seen with mask at all time. Will be back again for sure. Love it!
