Small hotel but great service with nice rooms”

we booked 2 rooms for 2 families for 3 nights stay. we choosed zoom inn not only because the hotel room is nice and reasonable price but also due to its location where there are shutter buses travelling to universal studio, singapore. anyhow we did not manage to get tickets for the shutter bus due to peak season and sold out. we might probably shall call the hotel much early to help us to book shutter tickets. the hotel is located at danga bay which is about 8km from jb town center. it is a perfect location if you wish to travel to universal studio without paying much expansive hotel room rate in singapore. although it is a shop lot hotel, the security is good, and we did not expected, actually the police station(office) is just next door! we had no concern of parking our cars for 3 nights long.

nice and clean room!”

this hotel located at danga bay is very nice and comfortable. boutique hotel with modern and cute room decoration. easy access to legoland and got 24hour convinience store. just next to danga bay police station so dont worry about your cark parked outside hotel..(because i read one review regarding his car had been broke while staying in budget hotel at danga bay). one uniqe feature about the room is it shares one sliding door for bathroom and toilet. which is if someone is using the bathroom, the other one cannot using the toilet since the door has been pulled for bathroom.. overall the hotel is good and very recomendable. will looking forward to stay at this hotel again.

Lovely Hotel, Good Location & Service with a smile”

Whenever I travel to Johor Bahru for a short stint, I will choose Zoom Inn Boutique Hotel for it's value for money. Conveniently located near to the town city of JB, it is also near to Dunga Bay where great seafood resturants are located. The hotel is also located between a convenient stall and a police station, thus giving me a sense of security throughout the night. The amenities in the room is reasonably new and modern.

It was a great family hotel with the Police Station 2 doors away!!! The prices is reasonable as well with pay-as-you-use mindset. Such as if you require breakfast, pay for it else save it. Unlike most major hotels, breakfast is included. The room is comfortable and most importantly, clean! Gotten the family room with 1 queen size bed + a single bed for the kids. Hotel with Great Service & Happiness”

rooms at zoom is just so fantastic! it's totally like a junior suite. my girlfriend & i are welcomed by the cheerful front desk staff which is always important to me as i myself is facing my clients face to face. issue are rectified within minutes as my name is not in the guest list due to the computer errors. i hereby applaud those staffs who were there to make my anniversary celebration a real wonderful 1. well done zoom inn boutique hotel & staffs.

Clean, Compact & Creative Hotel”

I was not expecting much from this budget hotel since it was just going to be a 9-hour stay for my family and I but I read many good reviews about it. Firstly, their location is strategic : next to a Police Station, in Danga Bay, near Singgah Selalu Restaurant (which is like a food court with many varieties of Malaysian food) and close to Causeway. It was a long day for us and so exhausted when we checked-in. The creative decos and design of this hotel put a smile on my face as it reminded me of all the good quality backpacker hostels I've stayed in Europe. You'd notice that the hotel's signage is a little bit slanted, so were the key holder, bed lights and mirror too. Anyways, the parking is free and ample. Since I had happy thoughts during check-in and check-in process was a breeze, climbing up a floor (they do not have a lift) while carrying my 13-month old daughter on 1 hand and holding onto my 4 yo son on another was not a problem at all. The path is narrow but manageable for Asian physique like me but might be tricky for bigger size. The room was compact but it was carefully designed and decorated that you wont feel claustrophobic. The big window helped too. Everything in the room was nothing more than 3-steps away. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a convenient store next to the hotel and little cafes and restaurant nearby if you want to get a quick bites. Excellent, value for money and will stay here again.

Nice hotel a few kilometers away from Legoland”

The hotel is situated along Danga Bay, near Tune Hotels. It is surrounded by local restos that serves authentic Malaysian cuisine. I recommend Restoran Sekinchan Ikan Bakar (near the hotel) for lunch/dinner and Toast n' Toast (right behind the hotel) for breakfast. If you're planning to go to Legoland, this is your best bet since it is only a few kilometers away. The rooms are designed very uniquely and are good for 2-3 people. The walls are quite thin but since we are a heavy sleeper, this is not a problem. The rooms sport a king size bed and a huge LCD TV. The only problem here is the shower and toilet can only be used one at a time eventhough they are separated. This is because it only uses one sliding door. Overall, I recommend this to anyone staying at Johor Bahru if the main purpose is just to visit Legoland.

Good location and value for money”

I've travel to Johor Baharu for 3 days and 2 nights. Choose to stay in Zoom Inn hotel for 3 days. This hotel is good location to whom want to get holiday in JB. Near to the JB town and malls, Legoland and JPO as well. This hotel located at Danga Bay. The room are very clean, staff was good and friendly, the facilities also was good. Not too noisy and the parking was provided. But, this hotel has no lift and you must use stairs to go up. Better request for lower floor. :)

A pleasant stay.”

The Zoom Inn is an inexpensive hotel. It was excellent for our purposes - we basically needed a comfortable bed, an aircond unit that works well and a strong shower. And here all three met our requirements, in fact even better than some of the more expensive hotels. The hotel as well as the room was clean and comfortable. It has no lift, so if you have very young children or if you are elderly and not strong, then this may not be the right hotel for you. The location was also good for us, not too far from the city center, and the places we wanted to go to were quite accessible. It is better to have your own transport, but if not, the staff is more than willing to call a taxi for you. If you are here on business, or spend a lot of time outside, then the Zoom Inn is more than adequate. But if you want a relaxing hotel stay, lounging by the pool, fine dining, then you have to look elsewhere. The only thing that needs improvement is the TV channels, which were quite limited.

Comfortable hotel with good service”

I will recommend this hotel as the price is worth it. But bear in mind that there is no lifts in this hotel, so try to request for room at lower floor. I was placed on the 2nd floor, with two young kids and many luggages, so it was a bit hectic for us. The room is spacious and comfortable with nice designs. Staffs are friendly, nice and well-prepared. You need to have transport on hand to visit nearby eateries or place of interest (e.g. Danga Bay / Legoland). Hotel is easy to find as it's nearby and within walking distance from Danga Bay Tune Hotel.

Very neat small hotel close to Singapore”

We (2 adults + 2 young children) drove from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru and stayed at Zoom Inn for 1 night before continuing the journey the next morning to Universal Studios Singapore. Zoom Inn is a small boutique hotel with small rooms but it is brand new and has very nice, expensive furnishings. it is a bargain.

Cute hotel room”

only a 10mins cab ride from the johor bahru city square mall the cab fare was $14rm at the beginning there is no more deluxe room i booked.. and they upgraded to suite for me! and i only book 3hours ago. great efficiency there. once you step into the hotel room the room is very spacious and nice with cute drawings on the wall the tv is just right in front of the bed and a mirror at the back.. on the bed you can easily reach out to the sink to wash hand been to malaysia a few times to different hotel this is the best yet!! the cleanliness is better than 5 star hotel and the price is so much cheaper!! great for couples to go

Unique design Hotel and great location”

The hotel room is pretty small but it has an unique design. The wall paint in command area and rooms are cute. The hotel is just a walking distance to Danga Bay and 10-15 minutes drive to Legoland, Hello Kitty Town and 2nd link to Singapore. The sad thing is the hotel does not has a lift. We feel more tired to walk up the staircase after a day out in Legoland.

Nice rooms and great service”

The rooms of the hotel is quite big (family room) and the service provided is very good. Upon requesting for a fridge, the staff brought a fridge to the room for me to chill my drinks. They have a in house minimart that is open 24 hours should you feel hungry in the middle of the night. Location is at Danga Bay area and quite peaceful. It is just located next to a police station

The check in and out was fast.all the receptionist we met was friendly and helpful.Excellent service. I love the fact that it gives us 6 pillow for the family room. Its the best choice for those who need a hotel just to sleep in, have a good shower and drive. It's near highway so it easy for us to go angsana, city square and larkin.The room is clean and comfortable too. I feel save as police station near-by. I felt that this hotel are better than some other expensive hotels. Zoom Inn will definitely be my priority choice when I come to JB again.

It was my second time staying in this hotel. I would say I am satisfied again. Very happy with this hotel. The price was reasonable under Agoda booking. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and cozy. Every room has different designs. Staff was attentive and friendly. Internet was fast. Downsides are there is no lift in this hotel. Anyway there are only 3 levels, you don't need to climb all the time. Spoke to the counter staff, they attempted to install but the contractor said it is not feasible. They are also converting the ground floor of the next unit to add in 4 additional rooms. Another downside would be there is no window inside the room. But it is not a huge issue. Family or friends would probably not enjoy the semi transparent glass sliding door for the bathroom and toilet. Works fine for couple though. Highly recommended for travelers who wants a reasonable priced pleasant stay in Danga Bay area.

A model for all boutique hotels”

This was easily the best boutique hotel I've stayed in. It's perfect for business travellers and families. The room was neat and had good layout. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I also enjoyed the business centre downstairs and got a lot of work done there. The major plus point is that this hotel is just next to a police station and I felt safe leaving my car there. It was great! I'd definitely stay here again the next time I am in Johor.
